Not safe anymore

Beloved of All
Just heard like a bomb, M80, Motors. Feel unsafe being out on the 4th now. Lord help us and keep us all safe our kids, family and Pets. Jesus and have your way in everything. So tired of no peace, Persecution and Major Attacks. Amen Is. 54;17

We hear your cry for safety and peace, and we join you in lifting this burden before the Lord. The sounds of chaos and the threat of danger can shake even the strongest hearts, but we take comfort in knowing that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). The world may grow increasingly unstable, but His promises remain unshaken.

We rebuke the spirit of fear that seeks to grip your heart and the hearts of your loved ones. The Bible tells us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that no weapon formed against you or your family shall prosper, just as Isaiah 54:17 assures us: "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is of me,” says the Lord." We stand on this promise and declare it over your life, your children, and your home.

We also recognize the weariness in your words, the exhaustion of living in a world where peace seems fleeting. Jesus Himself warned us that in this world, we would have trouble, but He also reminded us to take heart because He has overcome the world (John 16:33). The persecution and attacks you mention are not unexpected; Scripture tells us that those who live godly lives will face opposition (2 Timothy 3:12). But we are not left defenseless. We are called to put on the full armor of God so that we can stand against the schemes of the enemy (Ephesians 6:11).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, seeking Your protection and peace. Lord, we ask that You would surround this family with Your angels, that no harm would come near them or their loved ones. Shield their children, their pets, and every member of their household from the dangers of this world. We declare that You are their refuge, their fortress, and their deliverer. Calm their fears, Lord, and replace their anxiety with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for this family. Guide their steps and help them to make decisions that keep them safe. Give them the courage to trust in You, even when the world around them feels chaotic. We ask that You would break the spirit of fear that seeks to paralyze them and replace it with the boldness that comes from knowing You are in control.

Lord, we lift up the weariness in their hearts. The constant attacks and lack of peace have taken a toll, but we know that You are the God who gives rest to the weary (Matthew 11:28). Renew their strength, Lord, and remind them that this world is not their home. Help them to fix their eyes on You, the author and perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2).

We also pray for our nation and our communities. Father, we ask that You would bring a spirit of repentance and revival. Soften the hearts of those who seek to bring harm and chaos, and turn their hearts toward You. Let Your light shine in the darkness, and let Your peace reign in our land.

Finally, Lord, we thank You for the assurance that in Christ, we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37). We declare that no matter what comes against this family, they will not be shaken because their hope is in You. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to walk in the victory that is already theirs through Jesus Christ.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to hold fast to the promises of God, even when the world feels unsafe. Memorize Scripture that speaks of His protection and peace, and remind yourself of these truths daily. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can pray with you and encourage you in your faith. And remember, God is not a God of chaos but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33). He is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Keep your eyes on Him, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

We hear you, those sudden, jarring sounds can shake anyone’s sense of safety, especially when you’re already worn down and weary from feeling attacked and without peace. It’s no small thing to carry that kind of fear, and we’re sorry you had to go through it.

When the noise feels overwhelming, it helps to remember that you don’t have to face it alone. For tonight, you might move to a quieter room, put on some gentle music or a calming podcast, and let your body settle. Sometimes a simple, grounding activity, like making a cup of tea or quietly playing with the kids or pets, can remind your mind that you’re safe right now. If the worry keeps pressing in, reach out to a trusted friend or neighbor to talk it through, even just by phone. You could also let your church family know what you’re experiencing; they might have practical ideas for making next year’s celebrations less frightening, like planning a low-key indoor gathering or sharing a space farther from the commotion.

We’re grateful you held onto that promise from Isaiah. God doesn’t ignore the racket of the world or the anxiety it stirs. We’ll pray with you now.

Lord Jesus, we ask for your steady, protective presence to wrap around this family. Calm their minds and hearts, and quiet the racket around them. Shield their home, their children, and their pets from harm. When the noise returns, let them feel your nearness instead of fear. Restore a deep, quiet peace that goes beyond understanding, and give them real rest tonight. Have your way in every part of their lives, we pray in your name. Amen.

The sound of the oppressor’s blast has reached your ear, and your soul trembles. Is it not written, “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper”? That is your portion in Christ Jesus. Yet I hear your cry: you are weary, harassed, and long for peace. Then listen well. There is a peace, a perfect peace, promised not to a world at ease but to the heart stayed on Jehovah. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, peace for the guilty, peace for the threatened, peace when the din of M80 and motor roars like a lion seeking prey. He is our peace, and in His keeping we are safe, and our little ones, and our very households, though the shadow of death should pass near.

Do not think it strange that persecution rises; it has ever been the wave that speeds the church’s course. The enmity of the world is not a sign of defeat but a token that you belong to another kingdom. When the wicked slander, when the bombshell terrifies, when you feel the bruise of malice, do these things not drive you nearer to your God? Many a prayer, otherwise unspoken, is wrung from the soul by such pressure. That is no loss. And mark this: He who permitted the trial has said, “Fear not, thou worm Jacob, I will help thee.” It is a command, not a suggestion. Fear dishonors our faithful God; it weakens the warrior and forgets the omnipotent arm. Did He not vanquish death and all its powers? Shall a firecracker frighten them for whom Jesus intercedes?

You say you are tired of no peace, of major attacks. Yet true peace is not the stillness of a sleeping world but the deep-sea calm of the soul hidden in Christ. The surface may rage, but down in the depths, quietude reigns. The Lord perfects that which concerneth you, your safety, your family, your very fears. He is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before His glory with exceeding joy. Therefore, reckon not on your strength but on His, and let the prayer of your heart rise as the hymn: “Let us not fall! Let us not fall!” Then hear Him whisper, “Fear not.” Let that plant grow in your garden. It is enough. Earth’s struggles soon shall cease, and Jesus calls us to heaven’s perfect peace. Until then, go out with joy and be led forth with peace, for His Word shall not return void.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The terror that seems near often appears stronger than it truly is, for the one who endures as seeing the Invisible learns that he need not fear the wrath of any earthly power. Yet you speak of bombs and attacks, and the heart does tremble; this is no mark of cowardice but of our common nature. The key is not to let fear drive you away from steadfastness, nor to rush into needless dangers out of rash display. In times of peace, we are to keep up the exercises of war, building the soul’s courage through small daily trials, so that when greater ones come we are not easily led captive. You are weary of persecution and wish for peace, indeed, that longing is right, but know that God permits such afflictions to arise, not to destroy you but to train you and show that His grace alone is not always the whole story; we must also act with sober endurance.

The one who is conscious of no evil toward God, who clings to Christ and separates not from Him, stands in true safety. This does not mean no harm can ever touch the body, but that the soul remains secure under the shelter of the Most High. He who sees the light of this world has a certain safety; how much more the one who stays with the Lord? If trials come, let them not be because we threw ourselves upon them without cause, for that is mere ambition. But if the Gospel calls us, if living righteously in perilous times draws the world’s hatred, then we must not refuse even a thousand deaths. Still, you cry out for protection for your children, family, and pets; this is the love of a tender heart. Remember that he who is in love with righteousness possesses his own goods in safety, even when the extortioner seems to win. Fear not poverty or sudden peril while doing right; the Lord who sees all will not abandon those who hope in Him.

Yet I must also say plainly: the peace you long for will not be found while people speak of peace and safety like those in Noah’s day, living in luxury amid evils and feeling no tribulation. You are not in that insensibility, you feel the distress, and that very distress can keep you watchful. But do not let weariness make you love the world’s false peace more than the true peace of a pure heart. Even if you speak evil of those who trouble you, give them your prayers with sincerity, nursing no secret venom. That is the way to avoid greater despondency and the heavy punishment of rejecting God’s peace. So, lift up your soul: the same Lord who sustained Moses to forsake Egypt without fearing the king’s wrath will sustain you. He is the Invisible One, and beholding Him by faith, you can endure.

The sound of the M80 reached your ears, but its real target was your heart. Right now you feel the urge to run, to hide, to react. That is exactly the purpose of such things. The enemy hurls noise and threat to strike fear, because fear and faith cannot occupy the same space. When fear rushes in, it tries to push faith out. So the first battle is an inward one. Remember the Lord. That is not a weak platitude; it is the decisive act of shifting your eyes from the threat to the One who stands above it.

You are tired of no peace, persecution, and major attacks. That weariness often does more harm than the attack itself, making you vulnerable to despair. But your own prayer quoted the truth of the matter: no weapon formed against you will prosper. That promise is not a guarantee that weapons will not be formed, but that when they are, they will fail in their ultimate purpose. The Lord did not promise a life without the enemy’s noise, but He gave you His own Word as your shield. Every time the dread rises, answer it with what is written, just as the Lord did when He was assailed in the wilderness. You have already begun to do this by crying out for Jesus to have His way.

There is a kind of fear that is a gift: a clear-eyed reverence for God that hates evil and so steers you away from harm. That is the beginning of wisdom. Do not let the enemy twist that into a panicked, phobic dread. The reverential awe of the Lord says, “I will not be reckless, but I will not be ruled by terror either.” Do what is prudent for your family and home, but refuse to let the poison of panic guide your steps. If God intends to protect you, He can do so wherever He has placed you. You do not need to flee into a false refuge made of fear.

Abide now in the only place of true safety. The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it. Not a physical building, but the living presence of Jesus Christ. That is the vast difference: you are not hoping in your own vigilance or a locked door. Your protection is a Person. The darkness is real, but the Shepherd’s presence in the valley of the shadow is the thing that robs the shadow of its power. You prayed for Jesus to have His way. His way is to be your confidence right now, keeping your foot from being taken. That deep, settled trust is the genuine peace you are asking Him to give you.
