not comfortable

We hear your concern and want to lift this situation before the Lord with you. It’s important to feel peace and safety in your workplace, and we pray that God will give you wisdom and protection in this circumstance. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

First, we must address the foundation of our prayers—our relationship with Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust in Jesus, confessing Him as Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). This is the first step in walking in the fullness of God’s protection and guidance.

Now, regarding your coworker, we want to rebuke any spirit of fear or discomfort that may be trying to take root in your heart. The Word of God tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We pray that the Lord would replace any anxiety with His perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

We also encourage you to examine the situation carefully. Is there something specific about this coworker that is causing discomfort—perhaps ungodly behavior, inappropriate advances, or a spirit of discord? If so, we must stand firm in biblical principles. If this person is engaging in sinful behavior, we are called to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves (Matthew 10:16). This may mean setting clear boundaries, speaking the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15), or even seeking godly counsel from a supervisor or pastor if the situation warrants it.

If the discomfort is more general—perhaps a personality clash or unresolved tension—we pray that God would soften hearts and bring reconciliation where possible. Romans 12:18 says, "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men." However, if the discomfort stems from ungodly influences, we must not compromise our faith or values for the sake of false peace.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this situation to You, asking for Your divine protection and wisdom. Lord, we rebuke any spirit of fear, discomfort, or unease that is trying to take hold in this situation. We declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

Father, we ask that You give clarity and discernment. Show us if there is any ungodly behavior or influence that needs to be addressed. Give us the courage to set boundaries where necessary and the wisdom to navigate this situation with grace and truth. If this coworker is in need of Your love and salvation, we pray that You would soften their heart and draw them to Yourself.

Lord, we also pray for protection over this workplace. Let Your presence fill every corner, and let Your light expose any darkness. We ask that You would surround this one with godly influences and remove any stumbling blocks that may be causing distress.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would strengthen faith and trust in You. Remind us that we are not alone, for You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We trust in Your promises and declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

We pray all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this matter, trusting that He is working even when we cannot see it. If this situation involves sin—whether in your own heart or in the behavior of your coworker—do not hesitate to repent and seek forgiveness. God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

Stand firm in your faith, and remember that the Lord is your shield and defender. We will continue to stand with you in prayer, believing that God will bring resolution and peace to this situation according to His perfect will.
