No sadness

We have heard your heart's cry for happiness and rest, for freedom from sadness and frustration, for true friends and a godly companion, and for sweet sleep, and we join together to lift you up before the Father.

We understand the heaviness that comes from frustration and loneliness. The Lord sees this ache and He draws near to you in it, for Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18. He also invites you to release every burden to Him, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7. True peace and lasting joy are not found in circumstances alone but in His presence, for In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7.

We also hear your longing for real friends and for a soulmate. We pray that God will surround you with faithful, encouraging friends who sharpen and support you, for a friend loves at all times. Proverbs 17:17, and we know that loneliness can feel heavy. We want to encourage you biblically in your desire for a soulmate. We believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman designed by God, and we pray not simply for a partner but for a godly spouse if it is His will for your life. We encourage you to seek fellowship within a Bible believing church where deep Christian friendships can grow, and if you desire marriage, to pursue courtship with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer who loves the Lord, honoring purity and keeping yourself from fornication or any sexual intimacy outside of marriage, as God calls us to honor Him with our bodies.

We also lift up your desire for good sweet sleep, for rest is a gift from God. We pray that He will quiet your mind from frustration and grant you relaxed and peaceful nights, for When you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet. Proverbs 3:24 and In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety. Psalm 4:8.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we gently want to share that it is only through Him that we have access to God and find true hope and salvation. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. It is by putting our faith in Jesus, believing He died for our sins and rose again, that we are forgiven, made new, and brought into a living relationship with God where we can find joy even in difficult seasons.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. We ask You to lift all sadness and frustration and replace it with Your joy and perfect peace. Calm this heart and make it relaxed and at rest in You. Heal any wound of loneliness and provide godly friendships that encourage and point to You. If it is Your will, lead this one to a godly spouse for a Christ centered marriage that honors You, and help them to pursue relationships in purity and holiness. Grant the gift of good, sweet, uninterrupted sleep, quieting every anxious thought and guarding this mind and heart. Draw this one closer to Jesus, reveal Your love and salvation, and let Your presence be their comfort and strength each day. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our peace, Amen.

We are glad you shared what is on your heart. Wanting to feel happy and relaxed instead of weighed down, to be free from that frustrated, sad feeling, and to know real friendship and the gift of a soulmate is such a human and understandable longing. And asking for good, sweet sleep matters too, rest shapes how we experience everything else.

It makes sense that when friendship feels thin, frustration can feel heavier, and when sleep is restless, joy feels harder to hold onto. We hear both the gratitude in your words and the ache underneath them, and we want to hold both with you before the Lord.

One small step that often helps when real friendship feels far off is steady presence in one place over time. Friendships tend to grow through proximity and gradually letting others know us, showing up regularly where people can get to know you, sharing a little of your story as you feel safe, and giving that connection time to deepen. If there is a church community, small group, or serving team you can be part of consistently, staying with it can create natural space for those deeper connections to form.

Father, we bring our friend to You and thank You for the desire for joy, peace, and rest You have placed in them. We ask You to guard their heart from heavy sadness, to calm frustration, and to grant sweet, restoring sleep. Lead them to genuine, caring friendships and guide their steps with Your wisdom and kindness. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

Your longing to be free from sadness and to know a happy, relaxed heart and sweet sleep is heard, and the heaviness you feel in frustration and loneliness is not hidden from the Lord.

True joy is not found in outward things, for he that has joy on his barn floor may see it bare and he that has joy in earthly comforts may see them fail, but there is a joy which is the fruit of the Spirit from the root of trust in God. It is the joy of faith, joy unspeakable and full of glory, which comes when a soul can say, I will joy in the God of my salvation. This joy does not depend upon pleasant circumstances, for it lives in communion with God. If you are at peace with Him through Jesus Christ, who alone is the way of salvation, you will find a strength within, for the joy of the Lord is your strength, and being at peace within you will be more peaceful without. I pray that the Lord will teach you to call upon Him not only in sorrow but in all seasons, for times of joy and times of sorrow equally prove the heart. The real Christian prays more when the storm bursts, and he also turns his times of pleasure into times of prayer.

You speak of having no real friends and no soulmate, and this loneliness cuts deeply. Our Savior knows this sorrow well, for He was left alone just when most, as Man, He needed human sympathy. There are sorrows in being friendless which only those who value fellowship can feel, and sometimes the child of God endures loneliness from the absence of godly society. Yet there is a Friend who proves His friendship as none other, for Jesus laid down His life for those He calls His friends. Friendship with Christ is not one sided, it is reciprocal love and delight and communion, for He reveals Himself to His people and His people tell out their hearts to Him. May the Lord Himself be your chief companion, and may He in His mercy bring into your life godly friends who will walk with you in faith. And concerning a soulmate, we pray that if it be His will for you, He would in His perfect time provide a godly spouse within the lifelong covenant of marriage as He ordained it, one man and one woman, where love is kept pure and holy, and that until then and even if that season never comes, you may find yourself complete and content in Christ, who will never leave you alone.

You also ask for good sweet sleep, and this too is a gift from the hand of God. We do not sleep merely because we lie down, but because He giveth His beloved sleep. There is a sleep of contentment and a sleep of security which the Christian may enjoy, not from earthly cares being all resolved, but from resting as in the embraces of God, sprinkled afresh with pardoning blood and lying down upon the Savior's breast. Even in the night, when you awake, His word can talk with you, and His commandment can be a lamp to keep you.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, look upon this weary heart that desires to be free from sadness and frustration. Forgive sin and grant salvation through Jesus Christ alone, and give a new heart that trusts and fears Your name. Pour out upon this soul the joy of faith, that there may be shouting for joy and peace through believing. Be Yourself the Friend that sticketh closer than a brother, and provide faithful godly company according to Your wisdom. If it be Your good will, provide a spouse for holy marriage in Your time and after Your pattern, and if not, let Christ be sufficient and let contentment reign. And in the night season, give sweet, quiet sleep, the sleep of Your beloved, keeping the heart and mind in perfect peace. Cause this one to call upon You always, in joy and in sorrow, till sorrow is turned into joy which no man taketh away. Amen.
