I am totally overwhelmed after an injury at work. I have no money. Haven’t been paid since April. I have no money for food to give me the energy to drag myself out of this. Please pray in Jesus’ name.

We hear your cry for help, and we lift you up before the throne of grace with heavy hearts. The weight of physical pain, financial strain, and the exhaustion of feeling trapped in this season is more than any person should have to bear alone. But you are not alone, our Lord sees you, knows your struggle, and is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). We come together in Jesus’ name, the only name by which we can approach God and find true help, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

First, we rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness that seeks to overwhelm you. The enemy would love nothing more than for you to believe that your situation is beyond God’s reach, but we declare that lie null and void in Jesus’ name. The Lord is your provider, your healer, and your strength, even when your own strength fails. We speak life over your body, your finances, and your spirit, trusting that God will restore what has been stolen from you. The Word says, "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall lack nothing" (Psalm 23:1), and we stand on that promise for you today.

We also lift up your physical condition before the Great Physician. Jesus healed the sick, the lame, and the broken, and He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). We pray for your body to be strengthened, for pain to subside, and for energy to return as you rest in His care. The Lord says, "I will restore you to health and heal your wounds" (Jeremiah 30:17), and we claim that healing for you now.

Your financial situation grieves us deeply, and we take this burden to the Lord, who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and is able to provide for every need according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). We pray for justice in your workplace, may those who owe you wages be moved by the Holy Spirit to make things right. If they do not, we trust that God will open new doors of provision in ways you cannot yet see. We declare that you will not be put to shame, and that the Lord will make a way where there seems to be no way (Isaiah 43:19).

In the meantime, we encourage you to reach out to your local church or Christian community for practical help. The early church shared everything they had so that no one among them was in need (Acts 4:34-35), and we believe God still moves His people to care for one another in tangible ways. Do not let pride or shame keep you from asking for help, this is not a sign of weakness, but an opportunity for God’s love to be demonstrated through His body.

Above all, we pray for your spirit to be renewed. When Elijah was exhausted and ready to give up, God sent an angel to strengthen him with food and rest (1 Kings 19:5-8). We ask the Lord to send His angels to minister to you, to provide for your needs, and to remind you that He has not forgotten you. You are precious in His sight, and He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28), even when it doesn’t feel like it.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is weary, broken, and in desperate need of Your touch. Lord, You see every detail of their struggle, every unpaid bill, every ache in their body, every moment of despair. We ask You to move on their behalf in ways that only You can. Provide for their needs supernaturally, Lord. Open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings they cannot contain (Malachi 3:10). Heal their body, restore their strength, and give them the energy they need to press forward.

Father, we ask for justice in their workplace. Convict the hearts of those who have withheld what is rightfully theirs, and if they do not respond, we trust that You will be their defender and provider. Give them wisdom in this season, wisdom to seek help, wisdom to rest, and wisdom to trust in You even when the path ahead is unclear.

We rebuke the spirit of fear, anxiety, and hopelessness that seeks to take root in their heart. Fill them instead with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind them that You are their shepherd, their provider, and their strength. When they are weak, You are strong (2 Corinthians 12:9-10). Help them to cast all their cares upon You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).

Lord, we ask that You would surround them with Your presence, with Your people, and with Your provision. Let them experience Your love in tangible ways so that their faith is strengthened. Give them the endurance to run this race, knowing that You are their reward.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness, and we declare that this season of lack and struggle will not last forever. You are making a way, and we will see Your goodness in the land of the living (Psalm 27:13). In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Hold on, dear one. This is not the end of your story. The God who parted the Red Sea, who fed the five thousand with a boy’s lunch, and who raised Jesus from the dead is the same God who is working on your behalf. Keep your eyes on Him, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). You are loved, you are seen, and you are not forgotten.

God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. We hear you, and we are praying with you. The weight of your situation is real, injury, no income since April, no food, and the exhaustion that comes with all of it. That’s a heavy burden to carry alone, and we want you to know you are not alone right now.

First, let’s focus on the most immediate need: food. Many communities have food pantries, mobile meal programs, or church-based assistance that can provide groceries quickly, no questions asked. If you’re in the U.S., you can also call 211 to get connected to local crisis resources, including emergency food and help applying for SNAP benefits. Your local church or even a neighboring one may have a benevolence fund or know of a food pantry nearby. Don’t hesitate to reach out; this is exactly the kind of practical care the body of Christ is meant to give.

For the lost wages, if the injury happened at work, you may be eligible for workers’ compensation or state disability payments. A call to your state’s labor department or a legal aid clinic could help you navigate that. And if the injury itself is still limiting you, please see a doctor if you haven’t already, not only for your health but because documentation can strengthen any claim. God often uses medical professionals and community systems to bring relief alongside the prayers of his people.

We know how isolating it feels when your body and your bank account both seem empty. But your worth is not measured by your productivity or your pantry. The God who sees you in this moment is not distant. We’re asking him to sustain you, to open doors you haven’t seen yet, and to give you the strength to take the next small step, even if it’s just a phone call or a visit to a pantry.

Let’s pray:

Jesus, you see this one who is worn out and without resources. Please provide food today, and bring the right people and programs alongside to carry this burden for a while. Give energy when there is none, and gentle hope that pushes back the despair. Protect from guilt or shame, and let this season end soon. We ask for healing from the injury, wise help with lost wages, and the steady reminder that you are near. In your name, Amen.

The need which you confess, no money, no food, no strength, is no small thing, yet it is precisely the place where the Lord delights to meet His children. It is when we are poor and needy that we find the promise, “The needy shall not alway be forgotten.” You have been crying out in Jesus’ name, and that is well, for no other name carries such prevailing power. Yet I fear you are looking too much at the outward means and too little at the Provider Himself. Many die with whom there is no lack either of air or food; you must, therefore, look beyond the outward means, to God, Himself, to preserve your soul. And if your soul is kept, shall not your body be fed? The heaving lungs need their portion of air and if they cannot be satisfied, man soon becomes a corpse. Deprive us of food for a week and see if we can keep our natural body alive. But our heavenly Father knows what things we have need of before we ask Him.

Now, I hear you say you have no energy to drag yourself out of this pit. But consider: the work of Christ in us does not exempt us from work and service, nor does the Holy Spirit’s work supersede human effort, but rather excites it. Wherever the Holy Spirit works He makes men work. You feel you cannot stir; then cry to Him who is the strength of the fainting. You have need of healing, indeed, and He did nothing for show, nothing for mere custom, but everything to work solid good and erase real evil. He is the very friend you need in your time of need. Test Him as often as need arises. There is nothing like putting Christ to the test! You have gone on in your trouble till you are brought to beggary; yet even now you may come to Christ.

Do not think that your present poverty is a sign the Lord has forgotten you. You wished, at any rate, to get out of financial trouble, but you are still in it and you are apt to fear that when the Lord distributes His favors, He forgets you. Let this fear be gone, I pray you! Patience will yet have her perfect work and the suffering will end when it has accomplished its purpose. He has never asked any human mind to write a preface to His work; you are trying to preface Christ’s work with your own fretting, but your toil is fruitless. Rest in His finished salvation, and then rise betimes to do the work of this day. Get up early to seek Him, for the dew of the morning, before the smoke and dust of the world’s business have tainted the atmosphere, is a choice season. Bring your empty cup to the fountain; He will fill it. Bring your rags to His wardrobe; He will clothe you. You shall yet learn the sweetness of being reproached for Christ’s sake, and even the sweeter lesson that He secures what you’ve committed to His hands, till the decisive hour.

No energy, you say, but the true injury is not the blow you received at work, nor the empty purse. The injury you suffer is the one you do to your own soul when you let despair and fear overwhelm you. You see yourself as the injured party, but listen: the one who spoils is the one truly injured, while the one who endures with faith is crowned. Do not ask me to pray against those who harmed you; pray for them instead, for they have done you the greatest good if you bear this nobly.

That is the strange economy of God. Now, your present need is fierce; I see the hunger gnawing at you, and the body crying out for strength. But do not let famine of the body become famine of the soul. A double famine is at work: you lack bread, but we here in our ease lack the mercy of God.

Which is more grievous? Excess is disease, but a sufficiency is nourishment and pleasure. Learn to desire what is sufficient, not what is luxurious. Even in your poverty, there is a kind of almsgiving you can offer: spare your words of complaint, and spend them instead on prayer and thanksgiving.

Are you not nourishing your soul when you cry out to God in truth? Do not be like those who, when sick, kick against the food the Physician offers. He abides faithful; your want does not injure Him, nor does His abundance depend on your strength. He cannot deny Himself.

So rise up, not by your own power, but by turning inward and accusing yourself of dullness, not another of cruelty. Then, with whatever little you have, send it ahead: send it to the hungry in soul, if you have no coin for the hungry in body. Pray for those who injure you, and watch how God exalts you. I join your prayer in Jesus’ name, not for vengeance, not for merely bodily food alone, but for the bread that strengthens the inward man, that you may be set high above all disease and distress, a soul compacted by almsgiving of the heart, which no robber can touch.

What you are describing is an exhausting, grinding trench of a battle, and your cry for prayer is heard. That hollow ache of having no strength and no provision is not a sign that God has abandoned you; it is often the very place He prepares a person for His own work. We naturally believe we need full reserves and a clear path before we can move. But God so often chooses the one who is faint and still pursuing, the one who has nothing left and must rely entirely on His supply.

Think of Gideon’s three hundred men. They were exhausted, yet they kept pursuing. They didn’t win because they were refreshed; they won because God was with them. Right now, you feel like Samson grinding at the mill, doing the dull, weary labor of just surviving another day. That lack of energy and food and money feels like a curse. But God’s work in you has not stopped. Before He works through you, He is working in you, chipping away at our stubborn self-reliance. We want to glory in our own ability to solve the problem, and sometimes He has to reduce our strength to nothing so we will see that He alone is our provider.

Do not let the overwhelming need make you step back from crying out to Him. The urgency you feel for food is also an urgent call to prayer and alertness. Even in the simplest necessity, like longing for a drink of water or a meal, keep your eyes on the Lord. This is a fierce battle, and the enemy wants you to believe you are forsaken. But the God who began a good work in you will complete it. He made your salvation an act of His grace alone, and He will not stop providing now.

Trust that He is able to open a door you cannot see today. Right now, your job is to submit to this painful, difficult work He is doing in your heart, to cling to Jesus and believe His promise that He will never leave you. I am praying with you now, asking the Lord to give you supernatural endurance, to provide for your physical needs in tangible, unexpected ways, and to fill you with the strength that comes only from His Spirit. May He grant you the energy to take the next small step, and may He receive all the glory for carrying you through.
