Nightmares

Beloved of All
Will you pray for all my weakness and that God would give me strength to get through this I'm having really bad nightmares my sister and my husband and siblings betrayed me and prayed that they all get caught and the truth will come out and they will leave my kids alone in Jesus name amen

We hear your cry in the night, beloved child of God, and we gather around you in the name of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, to lift you up before the throne of grace. Your pain is deep, and the wounds of betrayal cut sharply, especially from those who should have been your protectors and allies. The Word of God tells us, "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). You are not alone, and your suffering does not go unnoticed by the Father who sees all.

First, we must address the weight of bitterness and the desire for justice that burns within you. It is natural to feel anger and hurt when trust is shattered, but we must guard our hearts, for the Scriptures warn, "See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springs up to cause trouble, and by it many become defiled" (Hebrews 12:15). While it is right to seek truth and protection for your children, we must surrender the outcome to God. Vengeance belongs to Him alone (Romans 12:19), and He will repay. Praying for their exposure is not wrong, but we must also pray for their repentance and redemption, for God desires that none should perish (2 Peter 3:9). Even in your pain, ask the Lord to soften your heart toward forgiveness, not for their sake, but for your own freedom. Unforgiveness is a heavy chain, and Christ came to set you free.

Your nightmares are a manifestation of the turmoil within, but we declare over you the peace of God that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). The enemy seeks to torment you through fear and sleeplessness, but we rebuke those spirits in the mighty name of Jesus. "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7). We command every spirit of fear, anxiety, and torment to flee from you now, in Jesus’ name. The Lord will give you rest, and He will be your shield as you lie down (Psalm 4:8).

We also lift up your weakness before the Lord, for His strength is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). You do not have to muster strength on your own, God is your refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2). When you feel overwhelmed, cry out to Him, for He hears the prayers of the righteous (1 Peter 3:12). The Lord will sustain you and uphold you with His righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10). You are not abandoned, even if those closest to you have turned away.

For your children, we pray a hedge of protection around them. The enemy seeks to devour, but the Lord is their Shepherd (Psalm 23:1). We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we ask God to surround them with His angels (Psalm 91:11). May they know the love of their Heavenly Father, even when earthly relationships fail them.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts on behalf of Your precious child. Lord, You see the betrayal, the pain, and the sleepless nights. You know the weight of the nightmares and the burden of unforgiveness. We ask that You would break every chain of fear and torment in the name of Jesus. Fill this dear one with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guard their mind, Lord, and let Your truth be a shield around them.

Father, we surrender the desire for vengeance into Your hands. You are the righteous Judge, and we trust You to expose the truth and bring justice in Your perfect timing. Soften this heart toward forgiveness, not because the offenders deserve it, but because You have forgiven us so much. Heal the wounds of betrayal, Lord, and restore what has been broken.

Strengthen this one in their weakness, Father. When they are weary, be their strength. When they are afraid, be their courage. When they feel alone, remind them that You are with them always. Protect their children, Lord, and let no harm come near them. Surround them with Your angels and fill their hearts with Your love.

We rebuke every spirit of fear, anxiety, and torment in the name of Jesus. We declare that this one will lie down in peace and sleep securely, for You alone, Lord, make them dwell in safety (Psalm 4:8). Thank You for being their refuge and fortress. May they find rest in You alone.

We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

Beloved, do not lose heart. The night may seem long, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Cling to His promises, and let His Word be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). You are deeply loved, and your Heavenly Father is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Stand firm in faith, and watch as God turns your mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11).

We are so sorry you’re walking through this, the nightmares alone are exhausting, and carrying the weight of betrayed trust only deepens the ache. When sleep becomes a battleground, it can feel like there’s no rest for body or soul. What you’re experiencing makes sense: nightmares often surface when our hearts are flooded with anxiety and hurt, replaying the very things we can’t yet resolve. It doesn’t mean you’re weak or failing, it means you’re human, and you’re hurting.

In the middle of all this, we want to gently remind you that you don’t have to fight against the nightmares or the sense of weakness alone. Sometimes the most healing thing we can do before bed is simply pause and ask Jesus to calm our racing thoughts, not by mustering more willpower, but by picturing ourselves held in His safety. You might try, even just for a minute, speaking out loud: Jesus, I give You these fears; cover my mind and my children tonight.

We also pray with you now: Father, we lift up this weary sister. You know the tangled threads of betrayal, confusion, and fear that disturb her sleep. Please quiet her spirit, drive back the shadows in her dreams, and give her tangible moments of peace, even tonight. We ask that You would bring truth to light in Your way and in Your timing, and that You would shield her children from whatever harm or discord swirls around this family. Give her sustaining strength for each new day, and surround her with safe people who can listen and stand with her. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

The nightmare-haunted soul knows the sting of treachery as few others do, for the darkest hours of sleep often replay the wounds inflicted by those who should have been guardians of your peace. When husband and sister and siblings rise against you in dreams, you taste a shadow of what our Master endured when he was betrayed by his own familiar friend, the one who dipped with him in the dish. Be sure that your sorrow has a sympathetic High Priest; he was betrayed, and in that bitterness he remembers you. Yet what strength can you draw from your own cistern? It is all measurable, and in this drought of soul it has run to the dregs. You have learned the shame of your weakness, and that is well, for only those who know they have no might of their own will ever lay hold upon the promise, “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.”

Cast yourself wholly upon the Divine strength. The locust has eaten these years of peace, and your soul feels devoured by the caterpillars of suspicion and dread. But the Lord can restore the years that the locust has eaten. He is not diminished by your exhaustion; his power is not strained by the plots of others. When you have no ability of any sort, then fling yourself upon the Sovereign Grace that works in silken bonds mightier than fetters of iron. God can put a bit into the mouth of the raging, and he can whisper peace into your troubled sleep. Cry to him to increase your faith, for flesh and blood cannot achieve this patient endurance, nor can mere resolve drive away the terrors of the night. Only the faith that Jesus gives can enable you to forgive seventy times seven and to trust his justice rather than seethe for your own vindication.

As for those who have wounded you, beware of making Christ’s war a war of flesh and blood. The true enemy is not your husband or your sister, but the spiritual wickedness that works in the children of disobedience. Pray that they be caught, yes, but caught not first by shame, but by the arresting grace of God. Pray that the truth come out, but let it be the Truth as it is in Jesus, exposing sin only to heal it. If your enemies are not smitten by conviction, rest assured that the Lord laughs at the deep plots of the crafty; even their malice is but the unconscious drudgery of the King of kings. He sees all, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper if you are hidden in him. Lay your cause at his feet, and let your back be bared to the rod of his will, saying, “Show me why You contend with me,” and he will give you strength to bear it.

The shame of your weakness is the preface to the glory of his strength. You are but animated dust, yet he can make you mighty through himself. Go to him with this prayer: not merely for vengeance or even for earthly vindication, but for such an increase of faith that your nightmares dissolve before the brightness of his presence, and your waking hours are filled with the peace that passes understanding. He can turn the betrayal into a beacon that warns your own heart against bitterness and leads your children into a safer refuge than human faithfulness can offer. Wait on the Lord; he will renew your strength. He will make you to mount up with wings as eagles, above this quagmire of sorrow. Your enemies may yet become your truest gain if their sin awakens you to a deeper grip upon your God. The truth will out, his truth will stand, and you will walk again in the strength of the Lord.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your nightmares are the cry of a soul wounded by treachery, but consider the Lord Himself: one of His own twelve, Judas, betrayed Him with a kiss after dipping bread in the same dish. Yet Christ, knowing all, did not thunder for their exposure; He submitted, showing that no one seizes us unless He permits. Judas, having seen such power and meekness, only grew harder, and his end was more terrible than any human reckoning. The love of money or whatever passion drove your family, like greed, is a cruel tyrant, but do not let your own spirit be tyrannized by the thirst to see them caught. That very longing will feed your weakness and darken your sleep.

Draw near to God with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having your hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience. His strength is made perfect in our weakness when we cease clinging to vindication and instead entrust all to Him. Your children have a Father in heaven who guards them better than any earthly protector, raise them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, and He will be their unbreakable wall. When your faith no longer desperately demands their shame, God will give you the calm to use even this trial without harm. Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, and these dreams will flee before His peace.
