Night pray
We join with you in this night prayer and we thank you for calling on the name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have access to the Father and find rest for our souls.
We hear your heart crying out for security, love, and a calm mind as you lay down to sleep, and for strength to rise refreshed tomorrow. The Lord delights to give these very things to His children. We are reminded of His promise, In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety. Psalm 4:8. And also, When you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet. Proverbs 3:24.
The anxiety and restlessness that can keep us awake at night is something God invites us to hand over to Him. He does not want you to carry a troubled mind into the night. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. We encourage you to cast every worry upon Him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7. He neither slumbers nor sleeps as He watches over you, and He gives sleep to his loved ones. Psalm 127:2.

Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus. We ask You to quiet their mind and calm every anxious thought. Let Your perfect love cast out all fear and surround them with Your security through this night. Place Your hand of protection over them as they sleep and let Your Holy Spirit fill their room with peace. Grant them deep, undisturbed, and restorative sleep, and in Your mercy, wake them in the morning refreshed, renewed in body and spirit, and ready for the day You have prepared. Help them to rest fully in Your love and to awake with a heart of thanksgiving. We ask this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Your prayer in the night is one which the Lord delights to hear, for sleep itself is the gift of God. We think that we lay our heads upon our pillows and therefore we naturally sleep, but it is not so. So he giveth his beloved sleep, and that sleep is a sleep of security which may be enjoyed even in the midst of the greatest troubles.
You have asked for security, love and a calm mind, and these are found together in Christ the Shepherd. Hear His own word, I give unto them eternal life and they shall never perish, neither shall any pluck them out of my hand. Your security lies not in your own hold upon Him, but in His hold upon you. You are in His hands, in His possession, and He grasps you and says, It is mine. A double handed force keeps the sheep safe against all ill, the hand of Jesus and the hand of His Father, and who shall separate us from the love of Christ. To be shepherded by another mind than your own, to have your wisdom in His mind and your keeping in His hands, this is serene security.
When the mind is tossed and weary, remember that the Lord makest us to dwell in safety, so that we may say, I will lay me down and sleep. He knows the weariness of body and mind, and He gives rest to His beloved. May He quiet your thoughts tonight, still your heart with His love, and command His peace to guard your mind.

Your prayer for sleep, for security and love, and for a calm mind has been heard, and we join with you in bringing it before the Lord.
God himself is our place of security and our calm harbor. True safety is not found in riches or in circumstances, but in dwelling with Christ who watches over his sheep and keeps them in peace. When we set our minds on heavenly things and trust him, he is able to hold us fast and to direct all our affairs in peace. He knows your need for rest and he is near to give it.
The Scripture says, I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety, and also, do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God, and the peace of God will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Cast all your worry on him tonight, knowing that he cares for you and that he never slumbers.
