Servant of All
Pray that my idea about summer hollydays - my old mother, my brother and the woman who watches over her - that we will be at least 10 days together at the sea. The owner of my appartement ### offers us good price for accommodation because of my sick mom. He spoke with her on the phone and he said that she is very intelligent inspight of her ###. And he has also old sick mother. Please pray that doors will open up and woman who watches over my mother and my brother will be very imterested and this will become reality next summer. Amen!!!

We hear your heartfelt desire to spend precious time with your mother, brother, and her caregiver by the sea next summer. This is a beautiful opportunity to create lasting memories and show love to your mother, especially in her later years. We join you in praying that God’s favor would rest upon this plan, opening doors and softening hearts so that all involved may see the value in this time together.

Father in Heaven, we come before You with gratitude for the life of this dear mother and the care she has received. We ask that You would move in the hearts of her caregiver and brother, that they would be eager to participate in this time of rest and fellowship. Lord, we pray for good health, strength, and provision for all involved, that this holiday may be a time of joy and peace. We also lift up the owner of the apartment, who has shown kindness in offering a good price, bless him abundantly for his compassion. May this time together be a reflection of Your love and a testament to family bonds. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we have access to You. Amen.

We encourage you to trust in God’s perfect timing and provision. Proverbs 16:3 reminds us, "Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed." Continue to seek His will in this matter, and remain open to His leading, even if the details unfold differently than expected. Family is a precious gift, and we rejoice in your desire to honor your mother in this way.

If there are any financial or logistical concerns, we also pray that God would provide creative solutions and resources. Philippians 4:19 assures us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Rest in His promises, and let your heart be at peace as you plan.

What a beautiful hope you’ve shared with us, the longing to spend unhurried days together by the sea with your mother, brother, and her ###. There’s something profoundly human about wanting to set aside ordinary routines for a while and simply be present with the people we love, especially when a parent’s health is fragile. Your care for your mother shines through every word, and we’re moved that you’ve even found a host who seems to understand something of your situation.

In the weeks ahead, practical steps can sometimes help a dream feel more reachable. Since you’ve already received the generous offer, you might gently open a conversation with your brother and the ###, not to push, but to listen. Ask what would make such a trip feel comfortable and manageable for each of them, and if they have any concerns you might not have considered. When people hear that their own needs are being taken seriously, interest often grows naturally, and you may find yourselves pulling together rather than apart.

We also want to honor the tenderness of planning when a loved one is unwell. While you hope and prepare, it’s okay to hold the outcome with open hands, trusting that whatever comes, your love for your mother is already a gift to her. God orchestrates more than we can see, and sometimes His provision unfolds in ways that surprise us.

We pray now, together with you:

Lord Jesus, You see this family and the deep desire for time together by the sea. In Your kindness, open the doors that need to open. Soften hearts where hesitation may be present, and grant unity and thoughtful planning among them. For the mother, grant moments of peace and joy; for the ###, refreshment; for her son, the gladness of a hope being realized. And above all, let this be a season where love is felt in tangible ways, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Lord sets before you an open door, and no man can shut it. The kindness of this apartment owner, moved by his own aged mother’s plight, is a small echo of that truth. Yet the greater door is Christ Himself, who says, "I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture." Before you seek the summer rest for your dear mother, be sure you have entered that door. Your mother’s mind, which this owner called intelligent despite her years, cannot grasp the things of God unless the Spirit opens it. Pray that the open fountain cleanses her soul, and yours, for the fountain is open for the child of God as much as for the sinner. Has she washed there? Have you?

You desire ten days together at the sea, and you ask for doors to open. Remember, God knows how to open the doors of the shadow of death; surely He can open the door of a holiday. Yet do not limit your requests. Open your mouth wide, and He will fill it. Ask boldly, not timidly, for He is Jehovah, your God. The woman who watches over your mother, your brother, pray that their hearts be inclined, yes, but pray more that they enter the one door of salvation. A holiday by the sea is a small thing; eternal life is everything. The big gates are set wide open for sinners. Him that comes to Christ, He will in no wise cast out. Let this be the summer you press that truth upon them.

The basket of summer fruit Amos saw spoke of ripeness and an end. Your mother is like summer fruit, fully ripe, and the season is short. Do not delay in cherishing her, nor in speaking of the hope within you. Doors were not made for sitting on the doorstep. Pass through the door of this opportunity swiftly, while it is called today. But the open evidence of your faith must be seen by others, strict honesty, a changed life, and love for the people of God. Let your brother and the caregiver see that you seek first the kingdom, and all these things will be added. The Lord Jesus keeps open house for outcasts, for the weak, for the aged. Is your heart an open house for Him in return?

Pray then, with your mouth wide open: "Lord, if it be Your will, grant us these ten days, that we may find pasture for our bodies and souls. But above all, set the big gates of salvation wide open for my mother, my brother, and all who watch over her. Give me the open evidence of a life hidden in Christ." Go to the Mercy Seat, and there plead the blood of the fountain. The sealed deed of your inheritance is sure; let the open deed of your faith be read by all. And whether you journey to the sea or only to the doors of the shadow of death, you shall find Him faithful who promised, and summer fruit shall be gathered into His storehouse.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The desire to care for your aged mother and to grant her a season of rest by the sea is a mark of filial piety, and this is pleasing to God. To honor a parent is a commandment adorned with a promise, and your longing to spend these days with her is a good work. Yet as you pray for open doors and willing hearts, remember that the true door which must open is the one set before your own soul. We often seek a change of place when we should be seeking a change of heart. The sea air and a lower price may be gifts from God, but they are passing things, like leaves on a fig tree that signal summer is near. The lasting summer is the refreshment that comes from the Spirit, a calm harbor found in trusting the Lord’s provision whether the journey happens or not.

When Paul and Silas sat in the inner prison, their backs torn and their feet in stocks, they did not pray for a change of scenery but sang praises at midnight. The doors flew open, not because they demanded it, but because God saw fit to display His power. That jailer, trembling and ready to take his own life, found salvation and then showed mercy by washing their wounds and setting food before them. See how tribulation became a feast. If this holiday comes to pass, receive it as that jailer received Paul, with joy and a heart first set on the one thing needful. If it does not, do not suppose God has shut a door of kindness; He may be opening a deeper one, teaching you to find rest in Him when the body must stay at home.

You mention the woman who watches over your mother and the owner who speaks kindly of her. These are drops of mercy already given. Nourish gratitude for them. Do not let the desire for future comfort steal the grace of the present moment. Your mother’s intelligence in spite of her years is a gift; the owner’s compassion is a gift; the breath in your lungs to pray this request is a gift. Make no provision for the flesh by demanding the holiday as a fulfillment of lust for ease, but instead set your industry on spiritual things. Pray, ā€œLord, if this be healthful for our souls, let the way be smooth; if not, let the obstacles stand firm.ā€ Mercifulness has great power with God, and you are already showing mercy to your mother in her sickness. Let that mercy be pure, not forced by anxiety, and it will intercede for you better than any specific request you can frame.

Whether you next summer gaze on the sea or sit at home, the true mother city we all seek is the Jerusalem above. Keep your eyes there. When you pray for ten days together, pray first for one day together in the household of faith, gathered around the table of the Lord where there is no sickness of soul that He cannot heal. May the peace of God, which surpasses every plan, guard your hearts and your minds. Amen.
