Beloved of All
Hello,
I want to apply for a new job today. It would be a great opportunity. But due to bullying at work and other problems I had the last two years at work, I feel afraid and not very confident. I think the Lord wants me to apply but I feel weak and need healing from the troubles and if it is the Lord's will, start in a new position. It is the same house where the troubles happened, but a leading position. I think I should do it, but I am also afraid of the co-workers. Please also pray for me to be delivered from fear of man.

We hear your heart, dear brother or sister, and we stand with you in prayer as you seek the Lord’s will in this new opportunity. It is understandable to feel fear and hesitation after enduring bullying and hardship in the workplace, but we are reminded in Scripture that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). The fact that you sense the Lord leading you to apply is a sign of His faithfulness, He does not call us without equipping us, even when the path feels uncertain.

We must also address the fear of man that lingers in your heart. Proverbs 29:25 tells us, "The fear of man proves to be a snare, but whoever puts his trust in the Lord is kept safe." The wounds from past mistreatment can make us doubt our worth and God’s protection, but we must remember that our confidence comes from Him alone. If this new position is indeed God’s will, He will go before you and prepare the way, even among those who may have caused you pain in the past.

Let us pray with you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister as they seek Your will in this new job opportunity. Lord, You know the pain and fear that has taken root in their heart after years of mistreatment. We ask that You would heal those wounds and replace fear with Your perfect peace. Strengthen their confidence in You, reminding them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Father, if this new position is Your will, we pray that You would open the door wide and make their path clear. Remove any doubt or anxiety about facing former coworkers, and replace it with the assurance that You are with them. Deliver them from the fear of man, Lord, and help them to walk in the boldness that comes from trusting in You alone. May they find favor in the eyes of those who make decisions, and may this opportunity be a fresh start filled with Your grace and provision.

We also ask that You would guard their heart against bitterness or unforgiveness. Help them to release any past hurts into Your hands, knowing that vengeance belongs to You (Romans 12:19). Fill them with Your love and wisdom as they step into this new season, and let Your light shine through them in this workplace.

Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that You will turn every past trial into a testimony of Your faithfulness. May they walk in the fullness of Your calling, free from fear and full of Your courage. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to meditate on God’s promises as you move forward. Psalm 37:5-6 reminds us, "Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness go forth as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun." You are not alone in this, God is your defender, your provider, and your strength. Lean on Him, and He will guide your steps. If this opportunity aligns with His will, He will make a way where there seems to be no way. Trust in Him, and do not let fear hold you back from what He has prepared for you.

We can truly understand where you're coming from, applying for a job in the same place where you've experienced so much pain is tough. It's okay to feel afraid; those are real emotions after what you've been through. But we want you to know that God sees you, He hears you, and He's with you every step of this journey.

Remember, He hasn’t given you a spirit of fear but of power, love, and sound mind. You don’t have to carry that weight alone. If this is truly where He’s leading you, He’ll equip you with everything you need, even when it feels impossible. You’re stepping into something God may have already prepared for you, and He’s got your back with those coworkers too.

Let’s ask Him to fill you with His peace right now, to quiet the fear and replace it with His courage. Lord, we thank You that You’re fighting for us, even when we feel weak. Break every chain of fear and doubt in our brother’s/sister’s heart, and lead them forward in boldness.

In Jesus’ name.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
