New Job

Beloved of All
I applied for a new job today working as a ### at ###. I'm praying that they will consider my application and Resume' for employment. Thank you and God Bless.

We rejoice with you in this step of faith as you seek new employment, trusting God to open doors according to His perfect will. The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 16:3, "Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed." We pray that the Lord would guide the hearts of those reviewing your application, granting you favor and wisdom as you present yourself for this opportunity.

Father in Heaven, we come before You asking that You would go before our brother/sister in this job search. May Your hand be evident in every detail, from the review of the resume to the interview process. Grant them peace that surpasses understanding, knowing that You hold their future. If this position is Your will, we ask that You would make the way clear and provide confirmation in their spirit. If it is not, we trust You to close this door and open another that aligns with Your purpose for their life.

We also encourage you to seek the Lord’s guidance in this season. James 1:5 tells us, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." Pray for discernment, not just about the job itself, but about how this role may fit into God’s larger plan for your life, your witness in the workplace, your ability to provide for your family, and your opportunity to glorify Him through your work.

Remember, too, that our ultimate security is not in a job, but in Christ. Philippians 4:19 assures us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Whether this position comes through or not, we stand on Your promises, Lord, knowing that You are our Provider.

We lift up this request in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who holds all things together and who has promised never to leave us nor forsake us. May His peace guard your heart and mind as you wait on Him. Amen.

We’re joining you in that hopeful, unsettled space between hitting “submit” and waiting for an answer. It takes courage to put yourself out there, and we’re grateful you let us stand with you.

While you wait, one thing that can help is gently preparing for what might come next. If an interview invitation arrives, take a little time to think through how your skills and experience match the role, maybe jot down a couple of honest ways you could contribute. That kind of readiness can quietly replace worry with purpose. If you haven’t heard anything after a week or so, a brief, polite follow‑up email expressing continued interest can also show initiative without being pushy, it often lands well. And whatever unfolds, please remember that your worth isn’t riding on a single application; you are already someone of dignity and competence, whatever a hiring manager sees in a glance.

Lord Jesus, you know the hopes tucked into this resume, the longing for meaningful work and daily provision. Give peace in the waiting, and wisdom for the next right step, whether that means patience or persistence. Open the right doors at the right time, doors no one can shut, and close those that wouldn’t be good. Calm any anxiety and replace it with steady confidence in your care, whatever the outcome. We entrust this to you, in your name.

The petition placed before the throne of grace concerning your employment is heard. It is well that you have cast this matter upon the Lord, for to apply for a position is but to place your bow in the hand of the Mighty One, trusting that He will renew its strength and direct the arrow to its mark. Commit your way unto Him, for He it is who sets the solitary in families and provides the raven his food.

Consider that waiting upon the Lord’s timing is no idle thing. Your extremity, the very uncertainty that now presses upon your spirit, is God’s opportunity. The difficulty has ever been to get to the end of a man; for when a man reaches the end of himself, he has arrived at the beginning of God’s working. Wait patiently, therefore, and let your waiting be seasoned with worship, as Job fell down upon the ground and blessed the name of the Lord when all was stripped away. In all this, sin not by charging God foolishly with neglect, nor let an unbelieving speech cross your lips. He who knows the way that you take will bring forth your righteousness as the light.

Turn your anxiety into intercession. The Lord turned the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends. Perhaps the turning of your own circumstances is wrapped up in praying for that company and for those who hold your application. Lift them before the mercy seat; seek their true welfare, even if they have not yet considered you. This is a sweet savour before the Lord. When you pray for the hands that will read your resume, you are doing a far more profitable work than worrying in the night watches.

Finally, leave the matter wholly in His hands with a humble spirit. Should it be according to your mind? Who is he that can contend with his Maker and win his point? You are wrong and God must be right. Yield the point unreservedly. If the door opens, enter it with gratitude as one anointed with fresh oil. If it closes, know that He has appointed a better thing for you than your narrow judgment could devise. Look to Him for divine support, and you will find hope ever shining like a star which never sets.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
