💝 New Heart, Ezek 36:26, 🙇🏻 Renewed by Mercy, Tit 3:5-6, 🐉 Serpent's Lies Resisted, James 4:7, John 8:44, 1 Peter 5:8, 🤺 Chooses God's Word over Being Her Own god, Gen 3:5... 🙏 Father, in Your Kindness, Lead My Matrimonial Love we committed to each other before God in the presence of many witnesses, Me, and Our Families to Repentance, "the kindness of God is intended to lead us to repentance," Paul, Rom 2:4... You will none perish but all come to repentance, Peter, 2 Pet 3:9... You desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, 1 Tim 2:4. "Eternal fire was prepared for the devil and his angels, Matt 25:41, not humans that were originally made to image God, Gen 1:27.

Let us be merciful, that we may receive mercy, Matt 5:7... We ask for grace to add fasting, which the early church said, "fasting and giving lends wings to prayer," (Tertullian, 155AD - 240AD). Help the one compassionate, honest and understanding family member witness to truth. Forgive this one the prayer for neglecting pastoral counsel and phone calls. We know that God causes all things to work all after the counsel of His will, Eph 1:11, not our will, and certainly not our timing. It's better to take refuge in God, than hope in princes, Ps 118:9. We trust You in the midst of trials, we trust in God -- God whose Word I praise, Ps 56:4... If king's hearts are as channels of water, how much more an individual spouse that is loved? Prov 21:1.

Heavenly Father, I ask You give the one called alongside to help and children love for Jesus and understanding of Your will through our actions and His Words, "The entirety of Your word is truth, and all Your righteous judgments endure forever," Ps 119:160. I ask that "from infancy we would know the Holy Scriptures, which make us wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus, 2 Tim 3:15.” I still aspire to do morning and early evening devotions, listen to godly counseling sessions, watch G-rated movies, funny, clean, entertaining shows (that grow our faith and knowledge of Christ, His love, our love for Him, our thinking, ethics, faithfulness, honesty, laughter, joy, faith and proper worldview).

Soften her heart and protect her (and us) from evil, Matt 6:13. Help her (and I) use our "Bible App" and understand what it says enough to let the Words You have caused to live inside become flesh in real life -- Let "Jesus Christ's love be publicly portrayed," Gal 3:1, and model it to each and every family member, those most dear and beyond -- let us be living epistles known and read by all, 2 Cor 3:2. All Scripture is inspired by God Almighty and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right," 2 Tim 3:15-16. "Do not take us out of the world, but keep us from the evil one," John 17:15. "Sanctify us by the truth; Your word is truth," John 17:17. Thank you in Jesus' Name.

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh," Ezek 36:26.
“But this is the covenant I'll make... I'll put My law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I'll be their God; they'll be My people," Jer 31:33.
Jesus replied, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again. "Do not be amazed that I said, ‘You must be born again," John 3:7.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this marriage before our Heavenly Father. We see the cry for renewal, the longing for softened hearts, and the desire for repentance to flow between husband and wife. Father, we stand in the gap for this union, declaring Your promises over it: *"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh"* (Ezekiel 36:26). Lord, let this be the reality in this home—let stony hearts melt under the warmth of Your love and the conviction of Your Spirit.

We rebuke the lies of the enemy that have crept into this marriage—the whispers that say repentance is unnecessary, that pride is justified, or that division is permanent. Jesus warned, *"You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and doesn’t stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks on his own; for he is a liar, and the father of lies"* (John 8:44). We resist these deceptions in Jesus’ name and declare that truth—Your truth—will prevail. The kindness of God *does* lead to repentance (Romans 2:4), and we pray that both spouses would humble themselves before You, seeking forgiveness and restoration.

We also lift up the children in this home, asking that their young hearts would be tender to the things of God. *"From infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus"* (2 Timothy 3:15). May they see the Gospel lived out in their parents’ lives—not perfection, but a daily surrender to Your will. Guard their minds from the world’s distortions and fill their hearts with a love for Your Word.

Father, we acknowledge the neglect of pastoral counsel and the temptation to rely on human wisdom rather than Your guidance. We repent for any pride that has kept this couple from seeking godly counsel sooner. Your Word declares, *"Without counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established"* (Proverbs 15:22). Raise up wise, compassionate voices to speak truth into this marriage—voices that will point them back to You.

We also join in the request for fasting to accompany prayer, for as Tertullian observed, fasting and giving lend wings to prayer. Jesus Himself taught that some battles are only won through prayer *and* fasting (Matthew 17:21). Strengthen this couple to deny their flesh for the sake of spiritual breakthrough, trusting that You reward those who earnestly seek You (Hebrews 11:6).

Lord, we pray for protection over this home. *"Do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one"* (Matthew 6:13). Shield them from bitterness, unforgiveness, and the schemes of the devil. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We declare that this marriage will be a living epistle, known and read by all (2 Corinthians 3:2). May their love for one another reflect Christ’s love for the Church—a love that is patient, kind, not self-seeking, and always hopeful (1 Corinthians 13:4-7). Let their home be a place of laughter, joy, and godly entertainment, where Your Word is honored and Your presence is felt.

Finally, we pray for a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit. *"He saved us, not by works of righteousness which we did ourselves, but according to His mercy, through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit"* (Titus 3:5). Pour out Your Spirit afresh on this couple, that they may walk in newness of life and bear fruit that glorifies You.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, the One who makes all things new. Amen.

We join you in lifting up this marriage before the throne of grace, dear ### and ###. Our hearts echo with the cry for renewal, the longing for softened hearts, and the desire for repentance to flow between husband and wife. Together, let us stand in the gap for this union, declaring God's promises over it:

"A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh." (Ezekiel 36:26)

Lord, let this be the reality in this home. Let stony hearts melt under the warmth of Your love and the conviction of Your Spirit. Let repentance flow like a river, washing away pride, division, and the lies of the enemy. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
