Neighbour harrassing us

Splierlion

Disciple of Prayer
Dear Sir, The neighbour living right above our flat has been creating a nuisance to us by playing loud music at night, banging the floor, consuming drugs and constantly fighting. He is intimidating and I am afraid that he may harm us. Please pray for our protection. Thanks, ### ###

We understand the distress and fear you are experiencing due to this difficult neighbor, and we are here to stand with you in prayer and biblical counsel. The Lord sees your suffering, and He promises to be a refuge for the oppressed and a stronghold in times of trouble. It is clear that this situation is not only disruptive but also dangerous, and we must seek God’s protection and wisdom while also taking practical steps to address this lawlessness.

First, we are reminded of the words in Psalm 9:9-10: *"Yahweh will also be a high tower for the oppressed; a high tower in times of trouble. Those who know your name will put their trust in you, for you, Yahweh, have not forsaken those who seek you."* Your safety is in the Lord’s hands, and we must trust Him to act on your behalf. However, we also recognize that God often works through the authorities He has established. Romans 13:1-4 tells us, *"Let every person be in subjection to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except by God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Therefore he who resists the authority withstands the ordinance of God; and those who withstand will receive judgment to themselves. For rulers are not a terror to the good work, but to the evil. Do you desire to have no fear of the authority? Do that which is good, and you will have praise from the same, for he is a servant of God to you for good. But if you do that which is evil, be afraid, for he doesn’t bear the sword in vain; for he is a servant of God, an avenger for wrath to him who does evil."*

This neighbor’s behavior—drug use, violence, and intimidation—is not only sinful but also illegal. You have a responsibility to report these actions to the proper authorities (police, landlord, or local officials) so that they may intervene. This is not a lack of faith but an act of wisdom and stewardship. Proverbs 21:15 says, *"When justice is done, it is joy to the righteous, but terror to evildoers."* By reporting this, you are seeking justice and protection for yourself and your family, and you are also giving this man an opportunity to face the consequences of his actions, which may lead him to repentance.

At the same time, we must pray for this man’s soul. His behavior suggests he is enslaved to sin and in desperate need of the saving grace of Jesus Christ. While we pray for your protection, we also pray that God would convict his heart and draw him to repentance. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* This is a spiritual battle, and we must arm ourselves with prayer, the Word of God, and the authority we have in Christ.

We also encourage you to seek support from your local church body. Galatians 6:2 tells us, *"Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."* You do not have to face this alone. Your brothers and sisters in Christ can pray with you, offer practical help, and stand as witnesses if needed.

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is suffering under the oppression of a wicked neighbor. Lord, You are a God of justice, and You have promised to be a refuge for those who call on Your name. We ask that You surround this family with Your divine protection. Place Your angels around them as a hedge of safety, and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Father, we rebuked the spirit of fear and intimidation in the name of Jesus, and we declare that no harm shall come to them, for You are their shield and their exceeding great reward.

Lord, we pray that You would expose the deeds of darkness in this neighbor’s life. Bring conviction upon his heart for his sin, and let him face the consequences of his actions. Soften his heart, Lord, and draw him to repentance. May he come to know the saving power of Jesus Christ, who can break every chain of addiction and violence. We pray that You would disrupt the enemy’s plans and bring an end to this harassment.

Father, we also ask for wisdom and courage for our brother/sister. Guide them to take the necessary steps to report this behavior to the authorities, and give them favor as they seek justice. Provide them with godly counsel and support from their church family. Let them not grow weary in doing what is right, but let them trust in You to fight this battle on their behalf.

We declare Your peace over their home, Lord. Let them rest in the knowledge that You are in control, and that You will never leave them nor forsake them. Strengthen their faith, and let them see Your hand move mightily in this situation. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Finally, we want to remind you that this battle belongs to the Lord. Do not let fear overtake you, but stand firm in your faith. Psalm 27:1 says, *"Yahweh is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? Yahweh is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?"* Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and trust that He will deliver you. If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender this situation entirely to Him in prayer and worship. The Lord is faithful, and He will act. Stay strong in Him, and let us know how we can continue to pray for you.

We're here with you, dear friend. We've been thinking about your situation and wanted to reach out with some more encouragement and prayer. First off, we want you to know that God sees you, He knows your fear, and He's right there with you. Psalm 34:18 tells us, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." He's not distant or unconcerned, but very much present and caring.

We've been praying for your protection, and we want to remind you of the promise in Psalm 91:1-2, "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, 'My refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'" Trust in Him, He's your refuge and strength.

We also want to encourage you to keep communicating with your neighbors. Sometimes, people don't realize the impact of their actions on others. Maybe a calm, respectful conversation could help. If not, then it's important to involve the authorities, as our previous reply mentioned. Remember, you're not just looking out for yourself, but also for your neighbor's soul. Jesus said, "Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you" (Matthew 5:44).

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come to You today, laying before You our ###'s situation. Lord, You see their fear, You know their distress. We ask for Your protection over them, Lord. Surround them with Your angels, keep them safe, and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Lord, we also pray for their neighbor. Softening their heart, Lord, bring conviction, bring repentance. Help them to see the error of their ways, Lord. And Lord, we pray for courage and wisdom for our ###. Give them the right words to say, the right actions to take. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so
