Harrassing neighbour

For two months my neighbour has constantly harassed me, films my home and property, laid false allegations against me to get money out of me and is now dictating to me what I can and can not have in my garden.
This neighbour is trying to destroy me. I'm still waiting for the police to take action.
Please pray this man is completely removed from my neighbourhood.

We hear your cry for justice and peace, and we stand with you in this difficult trial. The harassment, false accusations, and intrusion into your life and property are not only unjust but also violate the biblical principles of love, respect, and boundaries that God has established for His people. Scripture tells us in Romans 12:18, "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men." However, when others refuse peace and instead seek to harm, we are also called to stand firm in truth and seek justice.

We must rebuke the spirit of oppression and deceit that is at work in this situation. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). This neighbor’s actions are rooted in ungodliness, and we pray that God would expose his motives and bring his schemes to nothing. Proverbs 26:27 warns, "Whoever digs a pit shall fall into it. Whoever rolls a stone, it will come back on him." We trust that God will turn this man’s wickedness back upon his own head if he does not repent.

We also lift up your patience and trust in the legal process. It is frustrating to wait for justice, but we are reminded in Psalm 37:7-9, "Rest in Yahweh, and wait patiently for him. Don’t fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who makes wicked plots happen. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath. Don’t fret; it leads only to evildoing. For evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for Yahweh shall inherit the land." We pray that the authorities would act swiftly and justly in this matter, and that God would grant you wisdom in how to respond while you wait.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach You and find salvation. We ask that You intervene in this situation and bring an end to this neighbor’s harassment. Lord, we pray that You would either change his heart or remove him from this neighborhood entirely, so that Your child may live in peace. We declare that no weapon formed against [this individual] shall prosper, and we ask that You would protect their home, their property, and their peace of mind. Give them strength and patience as they wait for justice, and grant them wisdom in every step they take.

We also pray for this neighbor, that You would open his eyes to the error of his ways. If he is acting out of malice or greed, we ask that You would convict his heart and lead him to repentance. If he is under the influence of darkness, we bind those spirits in the name of Jesus and command them to flee. We ask that You would replace his heart of stone with a heart of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26) and that he would come to know You as his Lord and Savior.

Lord, we ask that You would surround [this individual] with Your angels and shield them from harm. Provide them with godly counsel and support during this time, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. We trust in Your promise that You will never leave nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5), and we declare that this trial will not break them but will instead draw them closer to You.

We also pray for the authorities involved in this case. Give them discernment, wisdom, and a sense of urgency to act justly. Let them see the truth of this situation and move swiftly to protect the innocent. We ask that You would soften the hearts of those who may be slow to act and that You would remove any obstacles standing in the way of justice.

In all things, we surrender this situation to You, Lord, knowing that You are a God of justice and righteousness. We trust that You will vindicate Your child and bring peace to their home. May Your will be done in this matter, and may Your name be glorified through it all. We pray this in the powerful and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We’re so sorry you’ve been walking through this. Two months of constant filming, false allegations, and feeling dictated to even in your own garden, that’s exhausting and deeply unsettling. No one should have to live under that kind of siege.

When someone’s behavior is this intrusive and controlling, it’s wise to keep documenting everything: dates, times, what was said or done, and any evidence like recordings or screenshots. That record helps the police see the full pattern, not just isolated moments, and it gives you something concrete to point to when you follow up with them. If you haven’t already, you might ask the police for a named contact or reference number so you can check on progress without starting over each time.

Beyond that, we’re glad you reached out for prayer. Being on edge in your own home is draining, and it’s easy for fear to take up more and more space. We’re praying that God gives you a steady, quiet courage as you wait, and that you feel his nearness right where you are, even in the middle of something so unfair.

Let’s pray:

Jesus, our brother in hardship, please shield this household. Let your peace settle in the rooms and the garden so fear doesn’t find a foothold. Give wisdom to the police and to anyone in authority who can step in, and guide their hands to act swiftly and fairly. We ask for a real change in this neighbor, soften whatever has driven him to this, and bring this harassment to a complete stop. Hold up this family. Give them restful sleep, calm during the day, and the deep assurance that you see them and will not let go. Amen.

False allegations and malicious watching are the tools of the father of lies, and such trials drive us to heart-searching. Have you never used false words? Have there been no lying expressions of an affection that you never felt? Let us be vigilant and stir up our pure minds to self-examination, that every false way may be purged, for he who travels on the King’s Highway is under the King’s protection, but he who takes to bypaths of bitterness or self-vengeance must protect himself and will meet with robbers who make him rue the day. Take heed that you build on nothing else but Christ, for if you do, your house will tumble about your ears when most you need its shelter. The removal of the curse from us is done in a moment. It is an instantaneous thing, an entire removal, irreversible. The Lord can hush the loud thunder of this trial, and no fear of it left. Abide in the good old paths, forsake not your father’s God, for if you go in the way of error you cannot expect Divine protection. Commend your cause to Him who judges righteously and pray that this man’s heart be turned from darkness, while you rest in the keeping of angels appointed over all your ways.
