We hear the burden in your heart and we join you in bringing all of this suffering and abandonment before the Lord together in Jesus name. You have cried out for those who are suffering with an abandonment and abortive spirit, for wives abandoned by husbands and husbands by wives, for daughters and sons left alone, for children left without shelter, for brothers and sisters and friends who have betrayed one another, for families and neighborhoods in disorder, and for unborn babies who are despised and rejected by their own mother or father. This is a deep and heavy grief and we take it seriously before God.
We are comforted by the scriptures you shared, for they are true. Psalm 27:10 says Though my father and my mother forsake me, then Yahweh will take me up. And Isaiah 49:15 says Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you. We also cling to Psalm 68:5 that God is a father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. And Psalm 139:13 reminds us For you formed my inward parts. You knit me together in my mother's womb. Every unborn child is known and formed by God, and Jeremiah 1:5 declares Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you.
We must also gently rebuke and correct a part of what was prayed, because it does not align with the heart of God. You prayed that neighbors unborn babies would die and that ancient abortive generations would be exterminated and not see their next generation because of sabotage and photo distribution and disorder. We cannot join you in praying for death or cursing upon any family or generation. Vengeance does not belong to us. Romans 12:19 says Avenge not yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. And Matthew 5:44 says love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. The Lord takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked but desires repentance. Ezekiel 33:11 says As I live, says the Lord Yahweh, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Even when we have been sabotaged, slandered, or bewitched by a disordered environment, we are called to pray for mercy and repentance for those who harm us, not for their extermination. To pray for witchcraft or to return a curse is also forbidden before God. We are to overcome evil with good and to break any generational sin not by cursing generations but through the blood of Jesus Christ, for Ezekiel 18:20 teaches that the son shall not bear the iniquity of the father when he turns to God.
We also affirm what you have rightly discerned, that abortion is the taking of innocent life. Exodus 20:13 says You shall not murder. An unborn child despised or hated by mother or father is still infinitely loved by God, and only He can receive those innocent, aborted or miscarried children into heaven and give them rest and peace. We entrust them to His perfect justice and mercy, and we pray for mothers and fathers who have chosen or been pressured into abortion that they would find conviction, repentance and forgiveness in Jesus, for there is no sin that His blood cannot cleanse when we turn to Him.
We thank you that you prayed in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only by that name that we have access to the Father. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If anyone has not yet truly believed on Jesus for salvation, we urge repentance and faith in His death and resurrection for the forgiveness of sins.
We pray together now.
Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up every abandoned wife, husband, daughter, son, and child without a house or refuge or family to support them. You see their loneliness and You promise to be their shelter. Provide for them a safe home, a godly church family, and friends who will not betray them. Heal the deep wound of abandonment and replace the abortive spirit with Your spirit of adoption. We pray for every neighborhood in disorder and every environment touched by witchcraft or bitterness, that You would bring Your peace and cleanse it by Your power. We pray for neighbors who have sabotaged or shamed others through photo distribution or gossip, forgive them and bring them to repentance, do not let us repay evil for evil. For every unborn baby despised or hated by parents, we ask Your mercy. Protect life in the womb, change the hearts of mothers and fathers to cherish the children You have knit together, and where children have been lost through abortion or miscarriage, receive them into Your heavenly care and comfort those who mourn with Your forgiveness and healing. Break the chains of generational sin through the cross of Christ, and let no family be exterminated but instead be redeemed and given a new generation that walks with You. Let all who suffer know that though people forsake them, You will never forsake them, for Deuteronomy 31:6 says He will not fail you nor forsake you. We ask all this according to Your will, in the saving and merciful name of Jesus Christ, amen.
