We join with you in this heavy burden and we lift up all of these suffering and abandoned ones before the Lord together in Jesus name.
We hear your heart for the unborn who are despised and hated by their own mother or father, for the children who are aborted or miscarried, for the families torn apart where wife has abandoned husband and husband has abandoned wife, where daughter and son are left alone, where little ones are left without a house, without family, without refuge or shelter, and where neighborhoods are in disorder and disgrace. The Lord sees each one and He does not look away. His word tells us the truth about the value of every life, For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother's womb Psalm 139:13, and Before I formed you in the belly, I knew you Jeremiah 1:5. Every unborn child is known and created by God, fearfully and wonderfully made, and to take that innocent life through abortion is murder before God, for He has commanded You shall not murder Exodus 20:13. We must speak this plainly because our culture calls it choice, but God calls it sin, and it brings deep wounding to mothers, fathers, families and to whole generations who never get to see their next generation as you have prayed.
Yet we also come with the hope of the gospel, that even this sin can be forgiven through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. We thank you that you prayed in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and that mercy is found, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12.
We also pray for every abandoned and betrayed heart, for those who have lost sister or brother, friend and family, and feel alone with no one to take them in. We claim the promise you shared with us, When my father and my mother forsake me, then Yahweh will take me up Psalm 27:10, and Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you Isaiah 49:15. The Lord is a Father of the fatherless and He is near to the brokenhearted, Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. Though people may forsake and betray, God will not abandon His own.
We pray for the disorder and sabotage and shame you described, the photo disgrace and distribution and the sense of being bewitched and beset by emergencies. We ask God to be your refuge and shelter, to expose lies and bring peace where there is turmoil, and to lead you and those you intercede for into a faithful local body of believers who can provide practical help, shelter, counsel and protection. God designed the family to be a lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, with children as a heritage from Him, and where that design is broken through abandonment and abortive choices, only He can restore and redeem.
We now pray together, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we entrust every unborn child who has died through miscarriage or through the murder of abortion into Your merciful hands. You formed them, You knew them, and we ask that You receive them into Your presence and let them rest in peace with You, for Your Son said Allow the little children to come to me, and do not forbid them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these Matthew 19:14. Have mercy, Lord, on the mothers and fathers who rejected or hated their own children, bring them to repentance and to the cleansing blood of Jesus. Comfort every wife and husband, every daughter and son, every child who feels abandoned and alone with no house or refuge, be their shelter and their home, provide for their needs and surround them with godly family and friends who will not forsake them. Heal the ancient wounds and generational loss where families have been exterminated and cannot see the next generation, let Your mercy triumph over judgment and let life prevail. Guard those who are shamed and slandered and bring Your peace into disordered neighborhoods and environments. We ask all this in the saving name of Jesus Christ, our only hope, amen.
We encourage you to continue to bring these burdens to the Lord, to seek His word daily, and to walk in fellowship with other believers who can stand with you in prayer and in practical help. God has not forgotten you or any of those you have named before Him.
