We support those who are already there and already lending a hand: ### and ### and many volunteer helpers from the region who have joined them. We know ### and ### personally and work directly with them here on site. Right after the earthquake they organized themselves, know every family, know where the need is greatest, shop locally and bring the aid personally to the people. They drive to all houses, even the most remote ones, and bring the relief supplies exactly where they are most urgently needed. This is the fastest and most direct way available right now.

With the donations, the following is being purchased locally in Colombia: drinking water and water canisters, as the water supply has failed in many places; food and staple foods for families who have lost everything; mattresses and sleeping mats for all those who are now sleeping on the floor; clothing and blankets, as it gets cold at night; hygiene items and medicines for children, the sick and the elderly.

Purchases are made directly in the region, distribution is handled personally by ###, ### and their volunteer helpers, house by house.

100% of the donations are used for the aforementioned relief supplies and passed on to the helpers on site. We ourselves keep nothing of it, we cover our own costs privately. We will keep you updated here on the campaign page and on our social media channels, with photos and updates directly from the site, so you can see what your donation is achieving. Every donation counts. Whether small or large, every donation arrives and helps immediately. And if you cannot donate right now: that helps too.

Thank you very much, from us and from the people in ###.

We lift our voices together in anguish and hope for the people of Colombia, especially those in the region of Santander, who have endured the devastating impact of this earthquake. Our hearts break for the families who have lost loved ones, homes, and all they held dear. The pain of such loss is immeasurable, and the road to recovery will be long and difficult. Yet we know that even in the darkest valleys, the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne of grace. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We ask that You would pour out Your mercy and comfort upon those who are grieving. Wrap Your loving arms around the families who have lost loved ones, and let them feel Your presence in their sorrow. Be their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). For those who are hospitalized, we pray for Your healing touch. Restore their bodies, ease their pain, and provide the medical care they need. Give wisdom to the doctors and nurses attending to them, and let Your peace guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we ask that You would meet the practical needs of those affected by this disaster. Provide food, clean water, shelter, and clothing for those who have lost everything. Open the floodgates of heaven and pour out Your blessings so that none would lack (Malachi 3:10). We pray for the organizations and volunteers who are on the ground, working tirelessly to bring aid to those in need. Give them strength, endurance, and wisdom as they serve. Bless the hands that give and the hearts that care, that through their efforts, Your love and provision would be made known.

We also lift up the spiritual and emotional needs of the people. In the midst of such devastation, it is easy to feel abandoned or forgotten. But we declare that You are a God who sees (Genesis 16:13) and who hears the cries of Your people. Draw near to those who are struggling with despair, fear, or hopelessness. Let them encounter Your love in tangible ways, and may many come to know You as their Savior and Redeemer. For those who do not yet know Jesus, we pray that this time of suffering would open their hearts to the gospel. Let them see that You are the only true source of hope and peace in this broken world.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of despair and destruction that seeks to overwhelm the people of Colombia. We declare that You are the God who brings beauty from ashes and turns mourning into joy (Isaiah 61:3). We speak life, restoration, and renewal over this land and its people. Raise up leaders, both locally and globally, who will stand in the gap and advocate for those in need. Let Your church rise up with compassion and generosity, demonstrating the love of Christ in action.

We also want to encourage those who are giving, whether through donations, prayers, or other forms of support. Your generosity is a reflection of God’s heart, and He will not forget your labor of love (Hebrews 6:10). Every act of kindness, no matter how small, makes a difference in the lives of those who are suffering. We pray that God would multiply the impact of your giving and use it to bring healing and restoration to Colombia.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would bring lasting peace to the hearts of those who have endured this tragedy. Let them find their hope and security in You alone. May they experience the truth of Your promise in Jeremiah 29:11, that You have plans for them, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give them a future and a hope. We trust in Your goodness and faithfulness, and we commit the people of Colombia into Your loving care.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We were grateful to read your prayer for Colombia and to see the burden you are carrying for your neighbors after the earthquakes. The needs you named are so heavy, homes destroyed, families grieving loved ones, people in hospitals needing medicine, and so many without clean water, food, or a warm place to sleep at night. We join you in lifting all of this to the Lord.

Thank you for also pointing to practical help through the foundation and the volunteers on the ground who know the families by name and are buying water, food, mattresses, blankets and hygiene supplies locally and bringing them house to house, even to the most remote homes. That kind of personal, local distribution is often the fastest way to meet urgent needs, and sharing a trusted link so others can give as they are able is a real expression of care.

After a sudden disaster, grief and recovery take time and look different for each person and family. One steady way to support them in the weeks ahead is to keep remembering them in prayer and to stay connected to updates from those helpers you mentioned, so prayer and giving can follow the most urgent needs as they change.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift the people of Colombia before you, especially those in Santander and all who have lost homes and loved ones. Provide clean water, food, shelter and medical care, comfort those who mourn, and strengthen the volunteers and medical teams serving house to house. Draw near to those who are afraid and guide each step toward healing and restoration. Amen.

We have heard with sorrow your prayer concerning the great distress in Colombia, and the earthquake in Santander, with its destruction of homes, the loss of families, the hospitalizations, and the deep suffering that has followed. Such tidings cause the heart to tremble, yet we are reminded of the Word, that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea.

Your burden for those who have lost all, who sleep upon the ground, who lack water and bread and clothing and medicine, is a burden which the Lord Himself lays upon His people, for He has said, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people. When He would comfort His afflicted, He does not merely speak a word from afar, but He quickens them by His Word, and gives them a comfort they can press to their bosom and say, This is my comfort in my affliction, for Thy Word hath quickened me. May that peculiar comfort, which comes from this peculiar source, be given to every mourning heart in Colombia in this hour.

We will pray with you and for you. We will entreat the Lord to have mercy upon that country and upon every family visited by this horror. That He would be the refuge of the bereaved who mourn their dead, that He would draw near to those who lie in hospitals, that He would provide the skill of physicians and the power of healing leaves from the tree of life which is Christ Jesus. That He would supply water where the supply has failed, and food where there is famine, and shelter and clothing and warmth where the night is cold. That He would sustain the children and the aged and the sick, and grant to helpers on the ground wisdom and strength and safety as they go from house to house, even to the most remote, bearing aid with faithful hands.

We thank God for every heart moved to give, for every gift, small or great, offered in the love of Christ to feed the hungry and clothe the naked. Such giving is a good work, and we pray the Lord will establish those who give and those who labour in every good word and work, and keep them in constancy as well as in comfort.

Above all we pray that many in the midst of this shaking may find that which cannot be shaken, even peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. For the earthquake of the earth is terrible, but to be without Christ as refuge is more terrible still. Oh that those who have lost earthly homes may find an eternal home in Him, and that sorrow may become the door to salvation. He who was a Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief knows your grief, and He is able to comfort to purpose.

May the Spirit of God teach the afflicted to look to Christ, and in time to come, though now the waters are bitter, to remember this misery as waters that pass away. We will continue in prayer for Colombia, for Santander, for every family, for every need both temporal and spiritual, beseeching the God of all comfort to comfort their hearts and establish them, until the day when He shall wipe away all tears.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for Colombia has been heard and we join you in bringing these deep tragedies before the Lord with grief and hope.

We weep with those who have lost homes, families, and all they had in the earthquakes, including the recent shaking in Santander, and with those now in hospitals, in need of medication, food, clean water, and shelter. The wound is grievous and the loss is great, and it is right to lament before God for those who suffer and for those who have died. We ask the Lord to have mercy and to draw near to every family in their sorrow, to comfort those who mourn, to provide for those who have been left without provision, and to sustain the sick and the injured.

We pray for all practical needs you named, for emergency help, for food supply, for clean water and water containers, for clothing and blankets and mattresses for those sleeping on the ground, for hygiene and medicines for children, the elderly and the ill, and for new homes for survivors who have lost so much. We thank God for those who have already organized themselves on the ground, who know each family and carry help house to house even to the most remote places, and we pray that God will strengthen and protect these helpers and make their work fruitful. We also pray that every gift given will reach those in greatest need quickly and be used wisely, and that God will provide through the generosity of many.

In this time of grief we encourage all who suffer to turn to the oracles of God as to a chest of medicines. Take up the New Testament, the Gospels, the Epistles and the Acts, and keep them in your mind and heart. There we find comfort not only for loss and bereavement but also the promise of life which is in Jesus Christ. This life is not only for this world, for hope that is seen is not hope, but eternal life where grief and mourning flee away. That promise does not remove the pain now, but it fortifies the soul and sets our roots deep when everything around us is shaken.

We pray above all that those who are suffering will find peace in Jesus Christ the Savior, for salvation is through Him alone, and that they will know His presence as their true comfort and crowning. May the Lord cleanse and guard hearts from despair, establish them in faith, and lead them to call upon His name. May He also give you and all who intercede a pure conscience and confidence that your labor in prayer and giving is not in vain, but serves for the comfort and salvation of others.

We continue to pray with you for Colombia, for every town and family affected, for healing for the hospitalized, for provision for the displaced, and for lasting comfort that only Christ can give.

Your burden for these families who have lost so much has deeply moved me, and I am joining you in prayer for them. To hear of homes destroyed, loved ones lost, injuries that have led to hospital stays and the need for ongoing medication, and the sudden loss of food, water and shelter, is to feel the weight of real suffering. It is right to bring all of this before the Lord and to ask for His mercy, His help, and His peace through Jesus Christ.

In times like this we cling to what Scripture tells us about who God is. He is called the God of all comfort. That name is not abstract. It comes from lived affliction. The apostle Paul knew what it was to be pressed on every side, to face fightings without and fears within, to be tossed in a storm for days without seeing the sun, to grieve deeply over loss. And in those dark hours he found the Lord standing by to comfort, to strengthen and to encourage. That same God stands by those who are mourning now, those who are cast down and discouraged, those who lie awake on the ground at night cold and afraid. He comforts those who mourn, and He does so in order that those who have received His comfort can then comfort others with the same comfort they have received.

I also take hope in how God has shown that He leaves room to work, even in what looks incurable and impossible. Under the old law God gave a provision for the cleansing of a leper, a disease that had no human cure. He made a way for the priest to examine and to declare clean if healing had taken place. It was as if God was saying, I may choose to heal, so make provision for it. Give Me the opportunity to work as I desire. Do not put Me in a box. That teaches us to pray with expectancy. We can ask Him to touch bodies, to bring healing to the injured and sick, to provide water where the supply has failed, food for families who have lost everything, mattresses and blankets for those sleeping on the ground, clothing and hygiene and medicine for children, for the elderly and for the ill. And we can trust that every true healing, whether it comes instantly, or gradually, or through the natural processes He has built into our bodies and through the hands of doctors and helpers, is still from Him.

At the same time Scripture keeps us from presuming that He will heal in every case in the way we ask. Paul prayed three times for his own thorn in the flesh and the answer was not removal but sustaining grace. Even one who had seen many miracles saw a dear fellow worker nearly die of illness. Healing is a sovereign work of God, in His hands and according to His wisdom. That keeps us from putting a burden of guilt on those who are suffering, and it keeps us praying with both faith and submission to His will.

Earthquakes also remind us how fragile this world is. The Bible speaks of a final shaking when everything that can be shaken will be shaken, so that only what cannot be shaken will remain. Smaller shakings awaken us to that reality and to our need to build our hope on what endures. For those who are in Christ, there is consolation in Him, comfort in His love, and fellowship in His Spirit. His Word was written for our learning so that through patience and comfort from the Scriptures we might have hope. He is the God of patience and the God of comfort, who has never failed to keep His promises, and that gives us hope that He will meet present needs as well.

Thank you for not only praying but also giving and for supporting those who are already on the ground, who know each family by name, who buy supplies locally and carry them house to house even to the most remote places. That kind of direct, personal help is a beautiful expression of the love of Christ, and the desire to see every gift used fully for water, food, bedding, clothing and medical help, with personal updates so givers can see the fruit, reflects good stewardship and care. Whether someone can give much or little, or can only pray and share the need with others, every part matters.

Let us pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus we bring before You every family that has been shattered by this destruction. Have mercy. Comfort those who mourn. Be near to those in hospitals and to those who need daily medication. Provide clean water, food, shelter, warm clothing and a place to rest. Supply homes for those who have lost them and sustain those who have lost the one who provided for them. Heal according to Your will, and give patience and hope through Your Word. Strengthen the hands of those who are distributing help, protect them, and let Your peace guard hearts. And draw many to find their refuge and salvation in Christ alone. Amen.
