We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up the deep sorrows and wounds expressed in this plea. The pain of abandonment, the grief of lost family, and the tragedy of unborn lives taken by abortion weigh heavily upon us. We stand in the gap, interceding with tears and fervent cries, for those who feel forsaken, for the innocent lives lost, and for the broken families left behind.
The Word of God declares the sanctity of life, for He knit every child together in their mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-16). The shedding of innocent blood through abortion is a grave sin before the Lord, and we mourn with those who mourn, repenting on behalf of a world that has turned away from His commands. Yet we also cling to His mercy, for He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We entrust the souls of these precious unborn children into His loving hands, knowing that He receives them into His eternal care.
For those who have been abandoned—whether by spouse, parent, child, or friend—we declare that the Lord will never leave nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Though earthly relationships fail, He is your ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We pray for healing from the deep wounds of betrayal and loneliness, that you would know the Father’s love as your true refuge. If you are without shelter or provision, we cry out for God’s supernatural intervention, for He is the defender of the fatherless and the widow (Psalm 68:5). May He open doors of mercy, provide godly community, and restore what has been broken.
To those who have participated in or been affected by abortion, we say: There is forgiveness and healing in the blood of Jesus Christ. If you confess your sins, He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). The Lord does not desire for you to remain in guilt or shame, but to receive His grace and walk in newness of life.
For those who do not yet know Jesus as Lord and Savior, we plead with you to turn to Him. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and only through faith in Him can we be reconciled to God. If you have never surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to repent and believe in Him today.
We lift up this prayer in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer and Healer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with weeping for the broken, the abandoned, and the lost. We mourn the lives of the unborn taken by abortion, and we ask for Your mercy upon this generation. Comfort those who grieve, Lord, and heal the wounds of abandonment. Restore families, provide shelter for the homeless, and surround the lonely with Your love. For those who have been involved in abortion, we ask for Your forgiveness and healing. Break the chains of guilt and shame, and let them know the freedom found in Christ. For those who do not know You, reveal Yourself to them, that they may be saved. We trust in Your unfailing love, for You are our refuge and strength. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
