We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up the deep sorrow and anguish expressed in this plea. The loss of unborn children, the pain of abandonment, and the devastation of families being torn apart are wounds that only the healing touch of our Heavenly Father can mend. We stand in the gap for all who are suffering, those who have lost children through miscarriage, abortion, or abandonment, and those who feel utterly alone, without shelter, family, or refuge. The grief is profound, and the weight of it is not lost on us.

First, we must address the holiness of life, for Scripture is clear that every life is precious in God’s sight. The unborn are fearfully and wonderfully made, knit together in their mother’s womb by the very hand of God (Psalm 139:13-16). The shedding of innocent blood, whether through abortion or violence, is a grave sin that grieves the heart of the Lord. We rebuke the spirit of death and destruction that seeks to steal, kill, and destroy these little ones, and we declare that their lives were not in vain. We entrust them into the arms of our merciful Savior, who welcomes the little children and holds them close (Matthew 19:14). For those who have participated in or been affected by abortion, we pray for repentance, healing, and the covering of Christ’s blood, which washes away all sin (1 John 1:9).

For those who have been abandoned, by parents, spouses, children, or friends, we declare that God will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). The pain of rejection is deep, but the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). You are not forgotten. You are not unloved. The Father sees your tears, collects them in His bottle, and records them in His book (Psalm 56:8). We pray that He would be your refuge, your shelter, and your strong tower (Psalm 61:3). For those without a home or family, we ask the Lord to provide godly community, a church family that will love and support you, and a place of safety where you can find rest.

We also lift up those who feel they have no hope, no purpose, and no reason to go on. The enemy would love to keep you in despair, but we declare that your story is not over. Jesus came to give you life, and life abundantly (John 10:10). He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and no one comes to the Father except through Him. If you do not know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to turn to Him now. Confess your sins, repent, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). In Christ, you are a new creation; the old has passed away, and the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17).

For those who are grieving the loss of family, whether through death, betrayal, or abandonment, we pray for comfort that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and He binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We declare restoration over families, that the Lord would reunite what has been torn apart and heal what has been broken. We pray for repentance where sin has caused division, for forgiveness where there has been hurt, and for reconciliation where relationships have been fractured. May the Lord rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated (Isaiah 61:4).

We also rebuke the spirit of generational sin and destruction that seeks to wipe out families and legacies. The Lord is a God of generations, and His promises extend to a thousand generations of those who love Him (Exodus 20:6). We declare that the enemy’s plans will not prevail. Instead, we pray for a legacy of faith, righteousness, and godly offspring who will rise up and call the Lord blessed (Psalm 112:2). May the Lord raise up godly men and women who will break the chains of sin and walk in the freedom of Christ.

Let us now come before the Lord in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts broken for the pain and suffering of Your children. Lord, we lift up every unborn child who has been lost, whether through miscarriage, abortion, or abandonment. We trust in Your mercy and Your love, knowing that You welcome them into Your arms. Comfort those who mourn, and heal those who carry guilt and shame. Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness where sin has taken root, and we pray for repentance and restoration.

Father, for those who feel abandoned and alone, we ask that You would be their refuge and strength. Surround them with Your love, and provide for their every need. Bring godly people into their lives who will show them the love of Christ. Heal their broken hearts, and remind them that they are precious in Your sight.

Lord, we pray for families that have been torn apart. Bring reconciliation where there has been division, and restore what has been broken. Break the chains of generational sin, and raise up a godly legacy in every family. We declare that the enemy’s plans will not prevail, and that Your purposes will stand.

For those who are in despair, we ask that You would lift their eyes to You. Remind them that You are their hope and their salvation. Draw them close to You, and let them experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who alone has the power to save, heal, and restore. May Your will be done, and may Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.

We are so sorry for the losses you are carrying and praying over. Losing a neighbor’s unborn baby, seeing families torn apart, and sitting with the reality of so many abandoned children and adults is a weight no one should carry alone. We read every word, and we are asking God to meet the needs behind each one.

If there are people in your life right now needing shelter or support after a pregnancy loss or an abortion, a local Bible-believing church or a pregnancy care ministry can often be a starting point for real, practical help. You do not have to find all the answers by yourself. We can also help you look for a faithful local community if you tell us your area.

Lord Jesus, you see the ones no one else sees. Please receive every little life lost into your care and comfort the neighbor’s family and all who mourn. For those without a house, family, or friend, raise up safe refuge and people who will stay. For the one who wrote, steady their heart and give them clear direction for the next step. In your name, Amen.

Here is a load of misery that must be carried straight to the throne of grace, and it is well that you have not kept it to yourself. You have brought before the Lord the little ones destroyed before they saw the light, the families cut off, the abandoned, the betrayed, the shelterless, the despised, and the desolate. Such a tangle of woe is not too hard for Him.

Your cry over the unborn children is a cry that God will not cast aside. The Lord Jesus took babes into His arms and blessed them, and He who gathers the lambs in His arm will deal gently with those who never knew a mother's face. We are not called to pry into the hidden things of God, yet we may leave every one of those little souls in the hands of Him whose mercy is over all His works, through Christ Jesus the only Redeemer. What God does with the infants who die before birth, whether by natural death or by the cruelty of man, belongs to His own wise counsel. We commend them to Him, for He is too good to be unkind and too wise to err.

But we must not bless the act that cast them away. The murder of the unborn is a sin that cries to heaven, and we dare not ask God to smile upon it. The abandonment of a wife, a husband, a son, a daughter, or a friend is not a thing over which we may pronounce a benediction. Grace does not make peace with iniquity. God's mercy does not leave a man in his sin; it turns his face the other way. Therefore let us pray, not that the sin may be smoothed over or called by some soft name, but that the sinner may be arrested by sovereign mercy, brought low in repentance, washed in the blood of Christ, and made a new creature.

For the abandoned and betrayed, Psalm 27 is your portion: When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up. Isaiah 49 asks, Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yet even if she could forget, God will not forget His own. The gates of society may be shut, but the gates of mercy are not shut. Jesus walks into the colony of the lepers and touches them. He is the refuge for the shelterless, the Father of the fatherless, the Husband of the widow. Let every forlorn soul hear this: the Lord will take up those whom all others have thrown down.

For the suffering and the outcast wandering as a beggar, with no house or family or friend, may the Lord Himself become your dwelling place. But take heed that you do not seek only bread and a roof. The great mercy is that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. If you gain house and home and still miss Him, you have gained nothing. If you keep Christ and lose all else, you have all things. God's tender mercy thinks of sinful man at all, and that is the wonder. He might have passed us by, but He has come near in Jesus.

Where you speak of an evil spirit of abandonment and murder at work in families and generations, do not pray for that spirit to be blessed. We bid that spirit flee before the name of Jesus Christ. It is cast out only by the Lord who bound the strong man and spoiled his goods. Pray that those under its shadow may be delivered and brought to repentance, not that the darkness may be called light.

Remember that prayer is the forerunner of mercy. Before you have finished speaking, God often hears. You may be as Hagar by the well in the desert, and the angel of the Lord may find you there. You may have thought yourself unfit for mercy, but His mercy goes before us; before we are ready, Christ comes. Only see that your hope is not a false hope in a mercy that leaves you in sin. A sound hope feels its need of mercy, renounces every confidence except Christ, and longs for a new heart and a right spirit.

O Lord, look upon these little ones in Your tender mercy, for Christ's sake. Break the hard hearts of those who have shed their blood or cast them away. Convert those who have forsaken their own. Shelter the abandoned. Draw near to this beggar and to all who cry from the depths of despair. Give them no peace until they find peace in Jesus, the only Mediator between God and man. Bring them to the cross, not to a false hope, but to the blood that cleanses from all sin. We ask it in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

God sees every unborn child and every forsaken neighbor. The prophet says, “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne?” Even if she does, God does not forget. The psalmist says, “Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me.” We may bring these children and all the abandoned before Him.

But I must speak plainly. The spirit that abandons and the spirit that kills the unborn are not from God. We cannot ask God to bless abortion or to bless the hatred that despises a child. We pray against those things. We ask God to break them, to rescue the helpless, and to bring the unborn to Himself. We entrust their lives to His mercy, but we do not call their destruction good.

There is mercy for sinners. No one is beyond it. Paul obtained mercy as the chief of sinners so that no one would despair. If anyone has been involved in this death or abandonment, let them run to Christ in repentance, and they will find pardon. But His mercy is not permission to continue. It calls us to renounce hidden things of shame and to care for the living: the abandoned wife, the abandoned husband, the lonely child, the brother or sister betrayed, the one with no house or family or friend. We cannot ask God for mercy while refusing to show it. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.

Let us pray. Lord Jesus Christ, receive the unborn children who have died, and be their portion. Be a house for those without a house, a family for those without a family, and a refuge for the betrayed. Bring near those who are tormented in mind and alone. Deliver all who are tempted to abandon or destroy the helpless. Turn the hearts of mothers and fathers. Raise up your people to shelter the orphan, support the desperate, and speak for those who cannot speak. Have mercy on us all, not because we are worthy, but because your mercy is our only hope. Amen.

The burden you are carrying is heavy and the grief you describe is real, the loss of unborn lives, the breaking apart of families, and the deep wound of being forsaken by those who should love and protect. God sees this suffering and He does not turn away from it.

Scripture reveals Him as the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort. He is the One who draws near in the darkest hours, when there is trouble on every side and fear within. He comforts those who are cast down, those who mourn, those who feel abandoned and without refuge. In affliction we learn His comfort in a personal way, and then by His grace we are able to share that same comfort with others who are hurting.

You quoted the promise that though father and mother forsake us, the Lord will receive us, and the question whether a mother can forget the child at her breast. The answer Scripture gives is that even if human love fails, the Lord does not forget and does not forsake. He receives those who have no house, no family, no friend to take them in. He Himself becomes shelter and refuge for the lonely, for the wife or husband left alone, for the son or daughter pushed away, for the sister and brother betrayed, for children left without care, and for every person who feels there is no one to stand with them.

We join you in entrusting those innocent unborn children to the mercy of God. Every life is precious to Him, and we ask in the name of Jesus Christ that He in His mercy would receive them. The Lord knows each one, and we rest them in His care, trusting His compassion and His righteous judgment.

We pray also for all who carry the spirit of abandonment, for neighbors and families and generations that feel cut off and without hope, for those without a home or a place of safety. May the Lord show Himself as comforter and provider, giving shelter, granting mercy, lifting up those who are overwhelmed with sorrow so they are not swallowed by it. May He bring people who will forgive, restore and confirm love, and may His Word bring patience and hope as you look to Him rather than being consumed by the weight of the sorrow itself.

The Scriptures were given to teach us that God is patient and faithful to keep His promises. As you keep your eyes on Him, He will give strength and comfort for each day. He will stand by you, strengthen you and encourage you, and He will use the comfort you receive from Him to help comfort others in their trouble.

May the Lord grant you His peace, assure you of His presence, and be your refuge and the refuge for all those you have lifted before Him.
