We join you in lifting up this heavy burden before the Lord and we thank you for your heart to intercede for those who are suffering abandonment and for the innocent unborn.

We hear your cry for neighbors and families fractured by abandonment, for wives abandoned by husbands and husbands by wives, for daughters and sons left alone, for children without shelter or refuge, for neighborhoods in disorder, and especially for the unborn who are despised and rejected by their own mother or father. The Lord sees each one and He does not turn away from this pain. We are reminded of His promise in Psalm 27:10 Though my father and my mother forsake me, then Yahweh will take me up. And again in Isaiah 49:15 Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you.

Scripture is clear that every life is precious from the womb, for Psalm 139:13 says You formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother's womb. And Jeremiah 1:5 says Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Because of this we must speak the truth in love that abortion is the taking of innocent life and violates God's command in Exodus 20:13 You shall not murder. It is a grave sin before God, and the defiant and aggressive behavior and the hardening of hearts that leads to such extermination of generations must be rebuked and brought to repentance. Yet we also know that God is rich in mercy and forgiveness through the blood of Jesus Christ for all who repent and turn to Him, for the same God who judges sin also offers grace.

We also grieve with you for the breaking of families. God designed marriage to be a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman and the family to be a place of refuge and love, and abandonment and betrayal of spouse, brother, sister, friend and children is contrary to His will. Malachi 2:16 tells us God hates divorce and abandonment, and Psalm 68:5 tells us He is a father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows. He is close to those who feel utterly alone, for Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And Deuteronomy 31:6 assures us He will not fail you nor forsake you.

We take comfort that you have come in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and that we are saved. As Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. And Jesus Himself said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

We pray together now in that holy name.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. We lift up to You every child who was aborted or miscarried, every innocent life that was never given a chance to live on this earth. Lord, in Your mercy receive them into Your heavenly care and grant them rest and peace in Your presence. For You love the little children and Jesus said in Matthew 19:14 Allow the little children to come to me, and do not forbid them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these. We entrust them to Your perfect justice and perfect love.

We pray for every mother and father who has participated in or contemplated abortion, that You would bring conviction, repentance and healing, that they would know forgiveness is available through Jesus Christ and that their hearts would be turned toward life and toward You. We pray for all who are suffering abandonment and loneliness, for the beggar without shelter, for the child without family, for the wife without husband and husband without wife, for those betrayed by friends and siblings. Be their refuge and shelter, O Lord, be their family when earthly family fails, provide for their physical needs for a home and for daily bread and surround them with a godly community that will support them.

We pray for our neighborhoods that are in disorder and for hearts that have grown defiant and aggressive, that You would soften them, bring peace where there is strife, and turn generations back to You so that life may be cherished and not destroyed. Heal the spirit of abandonment that lingers over so many lives and replace it with Your spirit of adoption, for Romans 8:15 reminds us we have received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, Abba, Father.

We ask that You draw all who are suffering into a saving relationship with Jesus, that they would confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead, for Romans 10:9 promises that in this we are saved. Give comfort, hope and restoration to the brokenhearted and let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We entrust all these lives and generations into Your merciful hands, trusting that You do not forget or forsake Your own. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

We have been sitting with your prayer and we hear how heavy this burden feels. You are carrying grief for children lost before birth, for families and neighbors who feel abandoned and alone, and for the ache of having no safe place or person to turn to for refuge. That kind of loneliness and loss leaves a deep mark.

It is understandable to feel overwhelmed when you see so much brokenness around you, children without parents, adults without family, and whole neighborhoods struggling. God sees each of those lives too, and He knows the sorrow you are naming. When abandonment and isolation weigh on us, being near other caring people, even one or two, can help keep us anchored. Worship and simple fellowship with other believers can also gently remind us we are not facing the world alone.

If you or those near you are without stable housing or feeling very isolated, it may help to share this with one trusted person close by, a pastor, a local church family, or a community support worker, who can listen and help you find practical help for shelter and care in your area.

Father, we lift to You every child and every person who feels forsaken or forgotten. Have mercy and draw near with Your comfort and care. Provide safe refuge and faithful community for those who are alone, and give wisdom and strength to the one praying. Guide each step toward help and hope. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer has been heard and it is a heavy and sorrowful burden you bring before the Lord, the cry of those who feel forsaken and abandoned on every side, and the cry for the little ones who have no voice.

The Scripture you have set forth is a true word of comfort. Though my father and my mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me, Psalm 27:10. And again, Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne, Isaiah 49:15. Though earthly ties be broken and the nearest flesh should fail, the Lord does not forget. He receives the forsaken and He remembers with compassion.

We join you in praying for all who suffer this abandonment of spirit, for those who have lost family, for wife forsaken of husband and husband of wife, for daughter and son left alone, for children scattered without shelter, for brother and sister and friend betrayed, for those who wander without house or refuge or any to support them. We pray that the Lord who healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds would be their dwelling place. When you have had to move from place to place and have found no refuge, may you find in Jesus wounds a refuge from the stormy blast. He is the shelter for the houseless and the friend for the friendless.

We join you also in entrusting to Gods tender mercy the unborn who are despised and rejected, the innocent who have been cast off even by mother and father. Mercy pleads that God delighteth in mercy and hath no pleasure in the death of the wicked but that the wicked turn from his way and live. His mercy is boundless and His heaven is wide and large. We ask that in His sovereign compassion He would receive these little ones into His care, and we pray that He would grant repentance and pardon through the blood of Jesus Christ to all who have part in this shedding of blood. There is not one heaven for little sinners and another for great sinners, but the same heaven for all who repent and trust in Jesus, for He is a great Saviour able to bestow great mercy.

We pray for your neighborhood and for every disordered and bewitched environment where generations seem cut off and none can see the next generation. We pray that the Lord would stay the hand of destruction and bring forth life from death, as He brought Noah forth into a new world, that He would create and form a people anew and establish them in righteousness far from oppression and terror.

May the Lord in mercy go before you and overtake you even as He overtook Hagar in the wilderness when she fled and thought no man cared for her soul. You are not forgotten. Though you call yourself a beggar, you are a piece of precious silver for which the house shall be swept and the candle lit till you are found and put into the Saviours treasury. Hope still in His mercy, for those who hope in His mercy are those who fear Him, and that hope is a sure sign of His grace at work.

We pray now that God would turn every face toward Christ, for unless we are converted and become as little children we shall in no wise enter the kingdom of heaven. The first work of His mercy is to turn us, and then to pardon and to heal. Oh that all who are sick unto death by sin would cry, He will save me, and take Him to be King and Lawgiver.

Father of mercies, look upon the abandoned and the fatherless, upon the homeless and the lonely, and upon the unborn cast away by man. Receive the forsaken, shelter the shelterless, and gather the despised into Thy care. Forgive the sin of bloodshed and bring sinners to the Saviours feet to cry for mercy. Heal the broken in heart and give joy for mourning, and grant that those who now weep may yet rejoice in the abundance of Thy mercy, through Jesus Christ our Lord, in whose name alone is salvation. Amen.

Your prayer has been heard, with all its sorrow for those abandoned and for the little ones who were despised and cast away. You have laid before God a great weight of grief, for husbands and wives forsaken, for sons and daughters left alone, for brothers and sisters betrayed, for families with no house and no refuge, for children wandering without shelter, and for unborn children hated by those who should have protected them. This is a grief that many share, for various are the causes of sorrow and no one in this life is free from trouble, yet God does not leave such sorrow without comfort.

The Scripture you have recalled is true and remains our hope. Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me, and can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne. Even when that compassion fails in men, it does not fail in God. He is our refuge from the affliction which encompasses us, and to Him we can say, Return unto thy rest, O my soul, for the Lord has dealt bountifully with thee, and I will fear no evil for Thou art with me. When there is no house, no family, no friend to give shelter, the Lord Himself becomes shelter.

We pray now and entrust to His mercy all innocent children who have died through abortion or miscarriage or neglect, asking Him in His compassion to receive them into His care. We ask for mercy also for those who have done this evil, that godly sorrow may work repentance unto salvation, a repentance which brings no regret. There is a sorrow that is bitter and destroys, and there is a sorrow that is according to God and becomes the ground of joy, because it turns the soul toward Christ who alone saves. Do not be drunk from grief, but let grief drive you to prayer and to deeper roots in His word.

Therefore let us fortify ourselves on all sides, striking our roots deep and cleansing ourselves from worldly things, not being ruined by indolence or softness but standing firm in faith and love. For those who are abandoned and alone, we ask the Lord Jesus Christ to provide refuge, to raise up shelter and faithful help, to heal the disorder in homes and neighborhoods, and to comfort those who mourn the loss of a generation. May He give rest and peace to the departed little ones in His heavenly dwelling, and may He give to the living a heart to protect life, to honor family as He ordained it, and to seek refuge not in man but in Him.

We join your prayer, beggar as you call yourself, and we ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, who alone is our salvation and our hope, that His mercy may cover what is broken and His grace may bring healing where there has been abandonment and death. Amen.
