Needing Prayer for protection

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I need a prayer for protection ### been being spiritually attacked for a long time ### can see hear and feel the attacks ### need peace within my mind and ### need extra help ### help remove any negative feelings ###'m experiencing so ### can feel better and have peace and be calm and relaxed.

We hear the urgency in your cry for protection, and we stand with you in this spiritual battle, for the Word of God assures us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). You are not alone in this, and we are grateful you have reached out, for the Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

First, we must address that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, and this is of utmost importance. There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through the authority of Jesus Christ that we can stand against the schemes of the enemy and find true peace. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Without this foundation, we cannot effectively resist the attacks of the enemy, for our authority comes from Christ alone.

You have described a long season of spiritual attacks—seeing, hearing, and feeling the assaults of the enemy. This is a serious matter, and we do not take it lightly. The devil, like a roaring lion, walks about seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8), but greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). You must clothe yourself daily in the full armor of God so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. This armor includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the preparation of the Good News of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:13-17). Without these, you leave yourself vulnerable to the enemy’s attacks.

We also sense a deep need for peace within your mind, and we understand how overwhelming this battle can feel. But take heart, for Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful” (John 14:27). The peace you seek is not found in the absence of struggle, but in the presence of the Prince of Peace. You must guard your mind with the Word of God, for as a man thinks in his heart, so is he (Proverbs 23:7). Fill your mind with Scripture, worship, and prayer, and the enemy will find no foothold in your thoughts.

Negative feelings can often be weapons the enemy uses to distract and discourage you, but you have the power to cast down every imagination and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). Do not entertain these feelings or allow them to take root. Instead, replace them with the truth of God’s Word. For example, when fear arises, declare, “The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1). When anxiety comes, remind yourself to “be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7).

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is under relentless spiritual attack. Lord, You are a God of justice and power, and we ask that You rise up as their defender and strong tower. We rebuke every spirit of fear, confusion, torment, and oppression that has been assigned against them, and we command these spirits to flee in the name of Jesus Christ. No weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we ask that You surround them with Your heavenly angels, encamping around them to protect and deliver them from every evil work (Psalm 34:7). Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, flood their mind and heart. Remove every negative thought, every lie of the enemy, and replace it with Your truth and light. Let them experience the calm and relaxation that comes from resting in Your presence, for You alone are their peace.

Lord, we pray that You would fill them with the Holy Spirit, empowering them to stand firm in this battle. Give them discernment to recognize the enemy’s schemes and wisdom to walk in Your ways. Let them be rooted and grounded in Your love, unshaken by the attacks of the evil one. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that the battle belongs to You (2 Chronicles 20:15).

We also pray for any areas of their life that may have given the enemy a legal right to attack. Lord, reveal to them any unconfessed sin, unforgiveness, or openness to the occult or New Age practices, and give them the courage to repent and turn away from it. Cleanse them by the blood of Jesus and restore them to a place of victory and authority in Christ.

Father, we thank You that You are faithful, and You will not allow them to be tempted beyond what they can bear (1 Corinthians 10:13). You are their shield and their exceeding great reward (Genesis 15:1). We declare that they are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37), and that no scheme of the enemy will prevail against them.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Finally, we urge you to take practical steps to strengthen yourself spiritually. Spend time daily in the Word of God, praying and worshiping Him. Fast if you are able, for fasting breaks the power of the enemy and sharpens your spiritual senses. Surround yourself with other believers who can pray with you and hold you accountable. Avoid any media, music, or influences that do not honor God, for these can open doors to the enemy.

If you have not already, we strongly encourage you to seek out a spirit-filled, Bible-believing church where you can receive prayer, discipleship, and support. You are not meant to walk this path alone. The body of Christ is here to stand with you, and together, we can see you walk in the freedom and victory that Jesus has already won for you.

Stay vigilant, stay in the Word, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). You *will* overcome this by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony (Revelation 12:11). We are standing with you in faith!

We're here for you, dear friend. We've been praying for your protection and peace, and we want you to know that you're not alone in this spiritual battle. We've been reminded of Psalm 34:17, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." He sees your struggle, and He's right there with you.

We've been interceding for you in Jesus' name, asking the Lord to:

- Surround you with His angels, protecting you from every arrow of the enemy.
- Fill your mind with His peace, dispelling every negative thought and replacing it with His truth.
- Strengthen you with His Spirit, empowering you to stand firm in this trial.
- Reveal any areas in your life that may have given the enemy a foothold, and give you the courage to turn away from them.
- Remind you of His unfailing love, that you are His beloved child, and nothing can separate you from His love.

We encourage you to keep seeking the Lord, spending time in His Word, and praying. Remember, the battle is the Lord's, and He fights for you. Trust in Him, and you will see His victory in your life.

Keep fighting the good fight, dear one. We're cheering you on, and we're here to support you in any way we can. Let's stay connected and keep lifting each other up in prayer.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred honor of lifting you up in prayer during this season of spiritual battle. The weight of prolonged attacks can feel overwhelming, and we understand how deeply you long for the peace of Christ to guard your heart and mind. It has been our privilege to stand with you before the throne of grace, interceding for God’s mighty protection, His supernatural calm to quiet the storms within you, and His healing touch to remove every trace of fear, anxiety, and negativity the enemy has tried to place upon you.

We know that spiritual warfare is real, and the attacks you’ve described—those things seen, heard, and felt—are not to be taken lightly. But we also know that our God is greater, and His power to break every chain and silence every lie is absolute. We’ve been praying specifically for the Lord to surround you with His angels, to fill your home and mind with His presence, and to replace every tormenting thought with the truth of His Word. Our prayers have been that you would feel the tangible comfort of the Holy Spirit wrapping around you like a shield, bringing the deep, unshakable peace that only He can give.

As we wait on the Lord together, we encourage you to share with us how He is moving in your life. If you’ve experienced even the smallest measure of relief, a moment of quiet in your mind, or a sense of His presence breaking through the darkness, we’d love to rejoice with you in a praise report. Sometimes, God works in ways that are subtle at first—a Scripture that comes to life, a sudden calm in the storm, or a newfound strength to stand firm. If that’s happened for you, let us celebrate His faithfulness together.

If the battle still rages and the burden feels just as heavy, please don’t hesitate to share your request again. We are here to continue standing with you, to pray without ceasing, and to remind you that you are not alone in this. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens, and we are committed to walking this road with you until victory is won. Sometimes, the enemy fights hardest just before his defeat, so let’s press in even more, claiming the promises of Psalm 91 and the authority we have in Jesus’ name.

Wherever you are today, we pray that you would sense the nearness of God in a fresh way. May He remind you that He is your refuge and strength, your ever-present help in trouble. May He replace every lie with His truth, every fear with His perfect love, and every attack with His overwhelming peace. You are deeply loved by Him, and you are deeply loved by us.

We are continuing to pray for you, believing that God is at work even now. Keep seeking Him, keep clinging to His promises, and know that we are right beside you in this fight.

In Jesus’ name.
