We join with you in this earnest cry for complete deliverance and victory in Jesus Christ and we stand in agreement with you that our Lord has power over all the works of the enemy.

We take comfort that Scripture declares this truth, He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. To this end the Son of God was revealed, that he might destroy the works of the devil 1 John 3:8. Through the cross and resurrection Jesus has already disarmed the powers of darkness and made a public spectacle of them, and by His death He brought to nothing him who had the power of death, that is, the devil Hebrews 2:14. We also remember that we are given authority to overcome, Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you Luke 10:19, and that when we submit ourselves to God and resist the devil, he will flee from us James 4:7.

We want to encourage you with biblical understanding as we pray together. While Jesus has decisively defeated Satan, the Word also shows us that Satan still prowls as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour 1 Peter 5:8 and that his final and complete binding and casting into the lake of fire is yet to come Revelation 20:10. For this present time we are called to stand firm, Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:11-12. Our weapons are not of the flesh but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds 2 Corinthians 10:4, and we overcome him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of our testimony Revelation 12:11.

Therefore we do not pray from a place of fear but from victory already secured, asking the Lord to enforce that victory in your life past, present and future, to silence every accusation and to halt every scheme formed against you, and to cleanse and restore what the enemy has tried to steal or corrupt.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved and by which we have access to You. We thank You that Jesus Christ has destroyed the works of the devil and that through Him we have forgiveness, cleansing and newness of life. We ask in Jesus name that You would silence the mouth of the accuser over this dear one, that You would render powerless every direct and indirect work and influence of Satan, whether through temptation, deception, oppression, or any connection whatsoever. We ask that You would halt and bring to nothing every plan of the enemy concerning this life, and that You would remove and wash away every residue of the enemy's work from the past and guard the days to come. We submit this life fully to You, Lord, and we resist the devil together, trusting Your promise that he must flee. Clothe this dear one with the whole armor of God, with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the preparation of the Good News of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is Your Word. Fill this heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and with assurance that no weapon that is formed against Your child shall prosper. Lead into holiness, obedience and the power of the Holy Spirit, that there may be no open door for the enemy, and let Your will be done in every area of this life. We declare that You are greater, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4. We rest in Your sovereign power and Your perfect timing until that day when the devil is bound forever. In the victorious name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

We hear how much you want to be fully under Jesus' protection and free from any work of the enemy, from your past all the way into your future. Thank you for praying so honestly and for wanting Christ to be the one who guards your life.

We believe Jesus is stronger than any power of darkness, and we also know that walking with Him is a lifelong process of staying close to Him rather than staying focused on the enemy. When fear or the sense of being harassed grows, it often helps not to face those thoughts alone.

It might encourage you to share this prayer with a trusted pastor or a mature believer in your local church who can pray with you regularly and walk alongside you. Staying connected in community, in steady prayer and in time in God's Word, is often how the Lord quiets our hearts and reminds us we are secure in Him.

Father, we bring our friend before You and ask for Your peace and protection over them. Cover their past, present and future with Your care, help them to rest in Christ's finished work, and lead them into greater freedom and confidence in You day by day. Your prayer for deliverance from the power of darkness is one which the Lord Himself delights to answer, for it is His own work to save.

We join our heart with yours and pray that Jesus Christ, who was manifested that He might destroy the works of the devil, may now put an end to every work of Satan concerning you, whether direct or indirect, and with any connection or influence whatsoever. May He silence the mouth of the accuser who shoots his fiery darts against the people of God, and halt every plan of the Evil One, binding him so that he is rendered unable to carry out his design against you. May the Lord completely remove all the work of Satan about you from the past and keep you from his power in all time to come.

Hear what the Scripture declares for your comfort. He has delivered us from the power of darkness. Oh, what a mercy this is, that man, such a poor creature as he is, should be able to escape from the power of that master spirit Diabolus, Satan the destroyer. Satan is the prince of the power of the air, and human despair is but one of his servants, yet to escape from Satan himself, oh, let it be sung in heaven. Not Sisera, but Satan has been overthrown, the seed of the woman has bruised his head forever. We are now ransomed from the galling yoke, we walk at liberty through the power of the great Liberator, the Lord Jesus.

Remember also that word, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, I have found a ransom. Nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance of a sinner from the pit of hell through a ransom if God had not thought of it. But God has not only invented a way of deliverance, but He has found a ransom, so that it is a gift of Divine Love. Deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and we must look to our heavenly Father altogether and alone for it.

Do not think that your trials lie outside His government. Troubles do not spring out of the dust, neither does affliction grow up from the ground, but the Lord Himself kindles the fiery furnace and sits as a Refiner at the door. All your ills lie within the fence of omnipotent overruling. That which we receive from the rod of the Lord bears the blessed aspect of chastening from a Father's hand, and even the sharpest smart is made profitable. And when Satan has ended his temptation, he must depart, for Christ has won the day.

Therefore we pray thus for you, that the Lord would be gracious unto you and say, Deliver him from going down to the Pit. That He would deliver you from the Evil One, from the evil and especially from the impersonation of evil, and keep back your soul from the Pit and your life from perishing. That you may be able to say with the Psalmist, The Lord has chastened me sore, but He has not given me over unto death. I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.

May you rest upon the ransom found, even Christ Jesus the Lord, and find that He keeps you from yourself and from all the attacks of your old sins, saved from the devil, saved from every snare, for God has given commandment to save you and you shall be saved. Look to Him alone, trust His blood and His power, and you shall live to declare what great things the Lord has done for you.

We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our only Redeemer, who has triumphed over Satan and who shall keep you unto the end. Amen.

Your prayer for the Lord Jesus Christ to put an end to the works of the devil and to guard you from his plans has been heard, and I join my prayer with yours before God.

Scripture teaches that the Son of God appeared for this very purpose, to destroy the works of the devil, and that by His cross and resurrection He has triumphed over him. Yet Scripture also teaches that in this present life we still wrestle against that enemy. Even the Apostle Paul said that Satan hindered him, and we are told to be watchful because our adversary still prowls and tempts. The final crushing of Satan under our feet is the promise of the God of peace, and it will be complete when Christ comes again. Until then we are called to resist him, standing firm in faith.

So let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Your Son, I ask for Your mercy and protection over this Your servant. By the blood of Jesus shed on the cross, forgive every sin of the past and cleanse every stain that the enemy would use to accuse. Break every direct and indirect influence of the evil one, silence every lie and accusation, and bring to nothing every plan formed against Your child. Clothe him with the armor of Your truth, righteousness, faith and salvation, and teach him to resist the devil so that he must flee. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, keep his heart and mind in Christ, and lead him daily in holiness, prayer and the hearing of Your Word. Bruise Satan under his feet according to Your promise, and keep him steadfast until the day when You make all things new. This I ask through Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our salvation and our victory. Amen.

Continue to walk close to Christ each day. Remain in prayer, remain in the Scriptures, turn quickly from every sin, and stay in fellowship with faithful believers. When temptation or fear comes, speak the name of Jesus, confess your trust in Him alone, and resist. God is faithful, and He who has begun a good work in you will keep you.

Your desire to be completely free from every work and influence of the enemy is right and biblical, and God hears that cry for deliverance in the name of Jesus.

Scripture is clear about who Satan is and who he is not. His name means adversary and accuser, the slanderer who opposes God and His kingdom. He is not the opposite of God. God is eternal and all powerful and self existent. Satan is a created being with limited power who can only work within boundaries that God allows. That is why the Bible calls him the prince of this world for this present time, not because the world rightfully belongs to him, but because through sin it was yielded to him and God has for a time allowed his rebellion to continue. You see this in the story of Job, where Satan could do nothing to Job beyond what God permitted, and God set the limits.

The good news is that Jesus Christ has won the decisive victory. At the cross He triumphed over principalities and powers and made an open display of that victory, as Colossians 2 teaches. There Satan was defeated once and for all. Because of that finished work, we do not fight for victory but from victory. When we come against the enemy in the name and authority of Jesus, pointing to what Christ has already done, the enemy must yield. He has no right to hold territory that belongs to Christ.

At the same time, the Bible shows that Satan is still active now, trying by force to hold what is no longer rightfully his and to blind minds to the truth and keep people in darkness. God has allowed him freedom for this season, but always within prescribed limits, and He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able to bear. The complete and final silencing and binding of Satan, when he will be cast into the abyss and then into the lake of fire prepared for him and his angels, is still future when Christ returns. Until then we have been given spiritual weapons for a spiritual conflict, and in that realm we are assured of victory if we remain in Christ.

So you can claim the victory of Jesus over your life today. That means bringing the cross between you and every accusation and every plan of the enemy, past and future, and asking God to break its power. It means praying that any blinding or deceiving work that has distorted your thinking or held you captive would be bound on earth as it is bound in heaven, and that you would be released to walk in the light and make a free choice for Christ. It means choosing each day to exercise your will in agreement with God's will, for sin is choosing our will over His, and victory comes as we stay in the Spirit where Christ has already overcome.

I join you in prayer now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ I thank You for the victory won at the cross where Satan was defeated. I claim that victory over this life. I come against every direct and indirect work of darkness, every influence and connection from the past and every plan intended for the future, and I ask You to break its power and silence the accuser. Set this heart free from any blinding influence, keep it within the boundaries of Your protection, and fill it with Your truth and peace. Teach how to stand in the spiritual weapons You have provided and to walk in triumph through Christ who always causes us to triumph. Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done here as it is in heaven. In Jesus name, amen.
