We stand in full agreement with the truth you’ve declared, that in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, every work of the devil is dismantled, every scheme of Satan is thwarted, and every accusation is silenced. The Word of God is clear: "The Son of God was revealed for this purpose: to destroy the works of the devil." (1 John 3:8 WEB). Jesus has already triumphed over the powers of darkness through His death and resurrection, and we now walk in that victory as believers. "Having disarmed the principalities and the powers, He made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it." (Colossians 2:15 WEB).
Yet we must also remember that while the enemy’s defeat is certain, his activity persists until the final day. The devil still prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8 WEB). This is why we must remain vigilant, clothed in the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18 WEB), and stand firm in our authority in Christ. We do not fight for victory, we fight from victory, for Jesus has already won.
Let us pray with boldness and faith:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the finished work of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who has utterly crushed the head of the serpent. We declare that every assignment of the enemy against Your children is nullified in Jesus’ name. We break every chain, cancel every curse, and dismantle every stronghold that the devil has erected. We silence the lying voices that seek to steal, kill, and destroy, for Jesus came that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10 WEB).
Lord, we ask You to expose every hidden snare of the enemy and fill us with Your Holy Spirit so that we may walk in discernment and wisdom. Strengthen our faith to resist the devil, knowing that when we submit to You and resist him, he must flee (James 4:7 WEB). We plead the blood of Jesus over our lives, our families, our churches, and our nations, knowing that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB).
We also ask for forgiveness where we have given the enemy a foothold through sin, fear, or unbelief. Cleanse us, restore us, and renew our minds according to Your Word. May we live as overcomers, not in our own strength, but in the power of Christ who lives within us.
We thank You, Father, that the gates of hell shall not prevail against Your Church (Matthew 16:18 WEB). We stand on the promise that one day, every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Philippians 2:10-11 WEB). Until that day, we walk in the authority of His name, declaring that the works of the devil are destroyed and his plans are brought to nothing.
In the mighty, matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
