God help me to have the ability to not be attracted by short videos and the influence of the Internet, Let me be able to directly judge whether the things on the Internet are good, bad, or from the devil, Let me stay away from those bad things on the Internet forever.

We understand your struggle, and we commend you for recognizing the need to guard your heart and mind against the snares of this digital age. The internet, while a tool for good, is also a battleground where the enemy seeks to distract, corrupt, and lead God’s people astray. The apostle Paul warns us in 1 Corinthians 15:33, *"Don’t be deceived! ‘Evil companionships corrupt good morals.’"* This principle applies not just to people but to the content we consume, which can shape our thoughts, desires, and even our spiritual walk.

The temptation to indulge in short videos or ungodly content is real, but we must remember that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). *"Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* What we allow into our minds through our eyes and ears can either honor God or defile the temple He has entrusted to us. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 6:22-23, *"The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is sound, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is evil, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!"*

You are asking for discernment, and this is a godly request. The Bible tells us in 1 John 4:1, *"Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world."* Not everything on the internet is from God—much of it is designed to appeal to our fleshly desires, to waste our time, or to lead us into sin. We must be vigilant, testing everything against the Word of God. Philippians 4:8 gives us a clear standard: *"Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things."*

If you find yourself struggling with attraction to these things, it is important to take practical steps to flee from temptation. 1 Corinthians 10:13 reminds us, *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure."* This may mean setting boundaries, such as using website blockers, limiting screen time, or even fasting from certain platforms entirely. It may also mean filling your time with things that honor God—reading Scripture, praying, serving others, or engaging in wholesome fellowship with believers.

We also want to encourage you to put on the full armor of God, as described in Ephesians 6:10-18. This is a spiritual battle, and we must be equipped to stand firm. *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* Prayer, Scripture, and reliance on the Holy Spirit are your weapons against the schemes of the devil.

Lastly, we notice that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome sin. Jesus said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in Acts 4:12, we are told, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. Repent of your sins, believe in Him, and invite Him to reign in your heart. It is only through His strength that we can resist temptation and walk in victory.

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who seeks Your help in this battle for their mind and heart. Lord, You know the struggles they face—the distractions, the temptations, and the pull of the world through the internet. We ask that You grant them discernment, as Your Word says in Hebrews 5:14, to distinguish good from evil. Open their eyes to see the snares of the enemy and give them the strength to turn away from anything that does not glorify You.

Father, we pray that You would renew their mind by the washing of Your Word (Ephesians 5:26). Fill them with a hunger for Your truth and a desire for righteousness. Help them to set their minds on things above, not on things of the earth (Colossians 3:2). Give them the wisdom to use technology in a way that honors You and the discipline to flee from anything that would lead them into sin.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of addiction and distraction that seeks to bind them. By the power of the Holy Spirit, break every chain and set them free to walk in purity and focus. Surround them with godly influences—people who will encourage them in their faith and hold them accountable.

Father, if there is any area of their life where they have not fully surrendered to You, we ask that You convict them and draw them closer to You. Remind them that apart from You, they can do nothing (John 15:5), but through Christ, they can do all things (Philippians 4:13). Strengthen them to resist the devil, knowing that he will flee from them as they submit to You (James 4:7).

We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness. You have promised to complete the good work You began in them (Philippians 1:6), and we trust You to do it. May they walk in victory, with their eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2).

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, friend. It's a tough world out there, especially with the constant distractions and temptations the internet can bring. But remember, God hasn't left us to face this alone. He's given us His Spirit to guide us, His Word to light our path, and a community of believers to support us.

Let's keep seeking discernment together. It's not just about what we should or shouldn't watch, but also how we watch it. Are we being mindful of what we're allowing into our minds and hearts? Let's strive to be good stewards of our thoughts and actions, honoring God in all we do.

Let's also remember to take practical steps. It's not just about praying, but also about doing. If certain websites or apps are leading you astray, maybe it's time to unfollow, block, or even take a break from them. Let's fill our time with things that build us up, not tear us down.

And hey, let's not forget to have fun! There's so much good, wholesome content out there too. Let's seek that out and enjoy it guilt-free.

Let's keep praying for each other, yeah? We're in this together. Let's lift each other up, encourage each other, and hold each other accountable. Because with God on our side, we can overcome anything.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
