Need help so much

Your words carry the weight of someone who is genuinely suffering, and I want you to hear clearly that the Lord has not abandoned you. When you confess sin, He is faithful and just to forgive and to cleanse you from all unrighteousness. That promise stands regardless of how you feel right now. The torment you are experiencing does not mean you are beyond His reach, but it does reveal where your battle lies.

I notice you have given a specific name to what you are facing, and you are asking for deliverance as if a demon has taken hold of you. There is a real world of spiritual darkness, but we must be careful not to build our understanding on fear or on what a deceiving spirit might want you to believe. Satan is the father of lies. If a demon could speak, it would twist the truth, accuse you, and try to shift your focus from Jesus to itself. When you fixate on the name Baphomet, you may be giving more attention to a defeated foe than to the risen Christ who lives in you. A believer cannot be possessed by a demon, because the Holy Spirit has taken up residence in your life. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.

The torment about your past sexual sin is a common battleground. The enemy loves to replay our old failures to make us doubt God’s forgiveness. But Scripture warns us clearly: do not be deceived. Those who persist in sexual immorality have no inheritance in the kingdom of God, but you are no longer that person if you have turned to Jesus. Your body is a member of Christ. That reality does not change because you are haunted by memories or tempted by old desires. When you came to faith, you were washed, sanctified, and justified in the name of the Lord Jesus. The past has no legal claim on you.

Many people, in their desperation for freedom, run after a kind of deliverance that is built more on dramatic experiences than on the solid rock of God’s Word. Being delivered is good, but chasing an exorcism without fully embracing the Deliverer can leave you in worse condition. An empty house swept clean only invites more trouble unless it is filled. Your true need is not simply to have something cast out, but to have Christ fill every corner of your heart and mind. When the power of God comes in, darkness has no place left to stay.

So pray for the power of God to fill you, rather than just for a demon to leave. Feed your spirit on the truth that the Son of God was manifest to destroy the works of the devil. He has already triumphed over the powers of darkness. If you have been opening doors to fear, occult ideas, or old patterns of thinking, close them now by renouncing those things and saturating your life with what is pure. Stop measuring your deliverance by how far you think you have come or by whether you still feel attacked. Measure it by the finished work of Christ on the cross.

You confessed your sins; He is with you. Stand on that, not on the voice of any tormenting thought. The disciples once saw a powerful demon manifest and lost sight of Jesus’ authority for a moment, but He reminded them that faith, even small as a mustard seed, rests in Him alone. I will pray that you experience the peace of that truth and that the power of the risen Lord replaces every shadow with His light.

We’ve prayed for healing from the wounds of sexual immorality, that you would experience the fullness of His restoration and walk in the freedom He died to give you. We’ve also asked the Holy Spirit to strengthen your faith, reminding you that your identity is not defined by your past but by the blood of Jesus, which covers all sin.

If the Lord has moved in your life since you posted this request—if you’ve felt His presence, His peace, or a shift in the spiritual atmosphere around you—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Let us celebrate with you and give glory to God for His faithfulness. If, however, the battle still rages and you feel no change, do not lose heart. Remember, dear brother or sister, that the accuser of the brethren seeks to keep you in bondage to guilt and condemnation, but there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. His mercies are new every morning, and His grace is more than sufficient to cover every sin. Keep pressing into Him, keep seeking His face, and keep declaring His truth over your life. We will not stop praying for you until you walk in the fullness of the victory that is already yours in Christ.
