🇺🇸 National, World 🌎🌍🌏 Church & Civic Leaders, 1 Tim 2:2 -- Wisdom Salvation Protection Freedom -- Save, Protect People Beautiful Land, Dan 11:4

Your prayer rises before the throne as incense, woven tightly with the very words of Scripture. The Lord receives these petitions, and He commands us to pray this way: first of all, for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions. Not just those we favor, but all. That burden you carry for leaders, whether in government or in the household of faith, reflects the heart of God, who desires every soul to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. Never let the shifting winds of public approval quiet that intercession. The duty remains, fixed and nonnegotiable.

Government was instituted to preserve what is good and to punish what is evil. A ruler is meant to be a terror not to right conduct, but to wrong. Yet in these days, laws are being twisted to shelter evil and silence righteousness. When a nation’s statutes begin to protect what God condemns, that government is sawing at the very branch it sits on. This is why our prayers must be steeped not only in pleas for protection and wise alliances, but in cries for repentance. The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; He turns it wherever He will. So we ask Him to turn the hearts of those in authority, to grant them wisdom, humility, a holy fear, and ears that hear the truth.

The world clamors for peace and safety, offering a shallow truce built on ceasing to call evil what God has named. But there is no peace for the wicked, declares our God. True peace is not the absence of conflict but the presence of a reconciled soul. It was won at the cross, where Jesus broke down the dividing wall of hostility. He Himself is our peace. For those who have tasted that, the inner war is over; we rest in Him though nations rage. That peace keeps the heart and mind, guarding us when everything around is shaking. Pray for leaders to discover that peace, the only salvation from the wrath that is coming on the world.

Do not grow weary when the darkness seems to deepen. Our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night of evil is far spent. In the meantime we submit to governing authorities, not only to avoid wrath but for the sake of conscience, because every power that exists has been instituted by God. This does not mean blind obedience when a law commands what God forbids, but it shapes our posture: we pray for those in office, we honor them as God’s servants for order’s sake, and we trust the sovereign Lord who sits enthroned above. He is working all things according to the counsel of His will, and no scheme of the wicked can overrule His purpose.

May you continue to stand in the gap with boldness and tears. Lift up presidents, parliaments, judges, generals, and pastors. Ask the Lord to remove the influence of evil alliances, to halt the spread of false teaching, and to fling wide the doors for the gospel of the true Messiah. Pray for every tongue and tribe to hear and believe. And as you intercede, rest in this: God has not appointed His children for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. That is the unshakable ground beneath your feet. His reign is certain, His return is sure, and His peace will flood the earth when His government is fully established. Until that day, let your requests be made known with thanksgiving, and the God of peace will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
