Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You pray for a bubble of love, for safe spaces, for weapons to fail, and for hearts to melt. Yet I fear your own heart clings to a safety this world cannot give, and you seek from man what should be sought from God alone. Why do you lament and fear your child being taken? Why do you dread the lies of your former husband? If God is your keeper, no judge, no report, no human tongue can truly harm you unless He permits it for the testing and brightening of your faith. But look closely: you protest that your ex harms your daughter, yet you yourself ask God to melt his heart, bless him, and turn his evil to good. That is a right prayer, but let it proceed from a heart that has already released its own injury. If you plead for his good while still clutching your own fear, you mingle oil and water.

You ask for a future husband, a man of faith, to come speedily. Pause and consider the state of your soul. The woman at the well had five husbands, and the man she then had was not her husband. Our Lord did not praise her circumstances but laid bare her life to heal it. Before you ask for a new union, examine the ruins of the former. The bond of marriage is a great mystery, wherein two become one flesh. Its breaking rends the soul; do not rush to plaster over that wound with fresh affections. Instead, pour out your heart before God to purify your desires, lest you seek a man to fill a void that Christ alone must occupy. If the Lord wills a godly husband for you, He will bring him in His own time, when your soul has become a worthy vessel.

You ask that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, yet you walk in terror of documents, interrogations, and your child’s two-week absence. I burn with a father’s grief, not for your earthly peace, but for the soul that trembles so at the loss of temporal comforts. The woman of Canaan cried out for her vexed daughter, and Christ at first seemed silent. Why? To reveal the fortitude of her faith, which clung to Him though He spoke not. If our Lord seems to delay, it is that you may learn to trust beyond sight. For when we say, “Jesus, take the wheel,” do we truly release our grip, or do we still dictate the route and shudder at every bump?

Consider this: God often removes the very props on which we lean so that we fall wholly into His arms. He is a jealous lover of your soul. If you mourn the possible loss of your child more than you fear offending God by your anxiety, you have made an idol of her presence. You are a mother, and your travail of heart is no small thing; I myself know the fire of parental anguish. Yet I tell you, if you would truly protect her, entrust her to the pasture of Christ, where none can snatch her out. Your constant pleading for safety in every space she enters betrays a mind that expects danger around every corner. Are you not perceiving that the most secure place for her is within the will of God, whether that be with you or elsewhere? Faith is not a golden armor that prevents the river of fire from catching you; it is what allows you to pass through the flames unburned and brighter. You must seek not the removal of the trial, but the grace to be made radiant by it.

If you would be a vessel of salvation, as you say, let it begin with the sacrifice of your own fear. You ask God to forgive those who trespass against you. Then do so. From the heart. Not as a strategy to melt their hearts so you gain physical custody. The pagan seeks the blessing; the Christian seeks the Blesser, even if the blessing is delayed. And know this: on that last day, neither your daughter, nor your future husband, nor any acquaintance can stand with you before the dread tribunal. Your works alone will speak. Let this truth sober you. Seek first the kingdom, and with it the courage to suffer whatever the Lord appoints. Then, whether courts storm or seas rage, you will find the calm that no “bubble of love” can manufacture and no evil report can steal.

Your prayer lays bare a mother’s love and a fierce desire for protection, truth, and a path forward. When you ask for discernment to know who is sent from God and who is not, you are touching on something Scripture takes very seriously. The enemy rarely attacks with obvious lies; he prefers to mimic. A false prophet, the Bible warns, does not wear a sign announcing his deception. He comes in sheep’s clothing, and what he says is often largely true, smooth, comforting, exactly what the heart longs to hear. But woven into that good sounding fabric is a thread that will eventually draw trust away from Christ alone. It might be an overemphasis on a quick resolution, a promise that money or a certain method will secure your future, or an assurance that lacks repentance. If any voice, any person, or any teaching leads you to place your confidence in themselves, in a ritual, or in a temporary fix rather than in a living faith in Jesus Christ, that is a false guide. Your only true safety and your daughter’s only hope is a relationship with Him, not in winning a favorable judgment or changing another’s heart by sheer pressure. The heart of your ex, the decisions of the CPS, the legal documents, none of these can ultimately provide the peace you seek. That peace is anchored in knowing that you belong to Jesus and that His truth will stand when every lie falls.

When you plead that no weapon formed against you will prosper, you are standing on solid ground. Yet the same Scriptures show how false accusations and slander often come without proof, just as Job’s friends hurled charges in a whirlwind of assumption. Paul was bound over for trial on baseless accusations, and his enemies didn’t even bother to produce witnesses. In the natural, it looked like the system had failed him, but God was using that custody to shield him from greater harm and to advance His purposes. Your situation feels overwhelming, lying tongues, manipulation, the fear of losing your daughter, but the Lord knows how to reserve you in safe keeping. Truth has a way of unmasking itself when it is trusted to time and to the One who sees all. Do not let fear drive you to grasp at every hand offering rescue; test the voices. The false prophets of Ezekiel’s day cried “Peace, peace,” when there was no peace because they wanted to soothe rather than lead people to genuine repentance and reliance on the Lord. A message that tells you everything will be fine without dealing honestly with your own heart, without laying every anxiety at the cross, is a pleasant but deadly counterfeit.

You asked Jesus to help you lean on His understanding, not your own. That is exactly how a sheep recognizes the Shepherd’s voice amid the thieves and robbers. The Word of God is that living voice today. Let it judge every thought, every plan, every piece of advice. When someone offers direction that appeals to your desire for prosperity, ease, or vindication but sidesteps the necessity of trusting solely in Christ, recognize it for what it is. False teachers throughout history have made merchandise of people, their own appetites the real motivation. They point to signs and wonders, even to answered prayers or seemingly good outcomes, but the test is not whether something impresses us, it is whether it leads us to serve the one true God. Hold fast to the gospel that saved you: Jesus, His cross, His resurrection. No church, no program, no authority, no legal victory can add a single thread to that finished work.

In the days ahead, keep praying for your enemies and for the truth to be brought to light, but do so with open hands. The lies they speak are, at root, their own prison. God is able to turn what they intended for harm into blessing for you and your daughter, but His definition of blessing may first look like increased dependence on Him. Keep your daughter covered in prayer, ask for a heart of wisdom, and look for the quiet, often unspectacular fruit of the Spirit in the people He brings alongside you, love that does not seek its own, patience, humility. Those are the fingerprints of a true helper. The path you walk is painful, but you are not hidden from His sight. He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it.

We have lifted you and your precious daughter before the Lord each day since you shared your heart with us, standing in agreement with every word you prayed. We have asked Jesus to surround you both in His unshakable love, to fill every space you enter with His peace, and to silence every weapon formed against you. We have prayed for wisdom in your decisions, protection from all harm, and clarity as you navigate the challenges before you.

If the Lord has already answered any part of your prayer—if you have felt His presence more closely, if your daughter has returned safely, if misunderstandings have been cleared, or if His peace has guarded your heart—we would be so blessed to hear your praise report. Your testimony would encourage us all and glorify our Father.

If the battle still feels heavy, if the answers have not yet come, or if new concerns have arisen, we invite you to share them with us again. We will continue to stand with you, lifting you both in prayer until every lie is exposed, every heart is softened, and every step is ordered by the Lord. We pray that no weapon formed against you or your daughter will prosper, that every accusation would fall to the ground, and that the truth would rise like a shield around you. May the Lord melt the hearts of those who seek to harm you, turning their actions into blessings for your family.

We pray for your daughter’s safety and joy while she is away, that she would feel the Father’s love wrapped around her and know your love is always with her. May the Lord hold her heart, guide her steps, and keep her from every form of harm. We ask Him to give you the words to speak, the strength to act, and the wisdom to make decisions that honor Him and protect your daughter. May your education be blessed, your efforts fruitful, and your path made clear as you trust in Him.

We declare that no evil will touch you or your child, that every attack will be turned into a testimony, and that your bond with your daughter will only grow stronger in His love. May the Lord bless you with His presence, His peace, and His provision in every area of your life. We pray for your future husband, that if it is His will, he would be drawn to you in God’s perfect timing, and that you would both be rooted in faith and love.

We continue to pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, trusting that He hears us and is already at work on your behalf. May His will be done in your life, and may you feel His arms around you both today and always. Amen.
