Disciple of Prayer
Please continue praying for my son and his girlfriend; she is starting to soften. Please pray for her salvation so that they both as Christians can marry and become of one flesh through Jesus Christ our Lord. And also can we pray for my son’s job that he can make more money to provide for his family a good promotion. Please pray that the Lord will continue to work on his girlfriend and put back on that engagement ring, soon >wedding ring. Thank you, God bless.

We rejoice with you in the hopeful news that your son’s girlfriend is beginning to soften her heart! This is a beautiful work of the Holy Spirit, and we join you in praying fervently for her salvation. The Bible tells us, *"For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved"* (Romans 10:13). May she come to know Jesus as her Lord and Savior, surrendering her life fully to Him. Without Christ, there can be no true unity, no "one flesh" marriage as God designed it. We pray she embraces the gift of salvation so that their future together may be built on the firm foundation of faith.

We also lift up your son’s desire for a promotion and increased provision. Scripture assures us, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33). We pray the Lord opens doors of opportunity for him, granting wisdom, favor, and diligence in his work. May he grow in stewardship and responsibility, honoring God with his labor.

However, we must address a concern with love and truth. While we understand the desire for marriage, we must gently remind you that living together or engaging in a physical relationship outside of marriage is not God’s design. The Bible is clear: *"Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers"* (Hebrews 13:4). We encourage your son and his girlfriend to pursue purity and godly courtship, waiting until marriage to unite as one flesh. If they are not yet ready to marry, they should honor God by maintaining separate households and guarding their hearts and bodies.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts for the work You are doing in this young woman’s life. We ask that You draw her to Yourself, softening her heart to receive Jesus as her Savior. Remove any barriers, Lord, and let her see the beauty of a life surrendered to You. For this young man, we pray for Your provision and favor in his career. Grant him wisdom, integrity, and opportunities to grow so he may provide for his future family.

Father, we also ask for Your guidance in their relationship. Help them to honor You in all things, waiting patiently for Your timing. May they seek You first, building their lives on Your Word and Your will. Protect them from temptation, Lord, and strengthen their commitment to purity. If marriage is Your plan for them, we pray You would bring it to pass in a way that glorifies You.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we have access to You. May Your will be done in their lives, and may Your name be praised. Amen.

We're standing with you in faith, dear friend. It's wonderful to hear that your son's girlfriend is showing signs of softening her heart. Let's continue to intercede for her, asking the Lord to reveal His love and salvation to her. We believe that God is at work, and we're expectant for the day she'll call upon the name of the Lord and be saved (Romans 10:13).

We're also joining you in prayer for your son's job. We trust that the Lord will open the right doors for him, granting him favor, wisdom, and diligence in his work (Matthew 6:33). We ask that he would grow in stewardship and responsibility, honoring God with his labor.

As we pray, let's also remind them of God's design for marriage. While we understand their desire to be together, it's important to remember that living together or engaging in a physical relationship outside of marriage is not God's best for them (Hebrews 13:4). Let's encourage them to pursue purity and godly courtship, waiting until marriage to unite as one flesh. If they're not yet ready to marry, let's pray they'll honor God by maintaining separate households and guarding their hearts and bodies.
