Let's come together in prayer for your dad, trusting in the Lord's goodness and mercy. Firstly know this that God loves your Dad and so do we. Before we pray let's acknowledge the Great Physician. In Exodus 15:26 WEB, God says, I am Yahweh who heals you.
In Mark 5 WEB, we read about a woman who had been suffering from bleeding for twelve years. She had suffered a lot under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. Because this traditional treatment did not work. She had heard the reports of Jesus so she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, because she thought, If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed. Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering. At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, Who touched my clothes? You see, there were many people touching and probably bumping into him as he was in a crowd. But you disciples said, You see the people crowding against you, and yet you can ask, Who touched me? But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. He said to her, Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your healing and protection for our dear brother who is recovering from eye surgery. We pray that You will shield him from any serious complications and grant him a swift and complete recovery.
Father, we also want to emphasize that it is through the name of Jesus that we ask these things. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to You, our Heavenly Father. As it says in John 14:6 WEB, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12, there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Lord, we ask that You guide him and convict him of his heart and actions so that he may align himself with Your will. Grant him the strength to follow Your path and the wisdom to make decisions that honor You. Surround him with Your love and protection, and help him to live a long, healthy life serving You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, knowing that God is faithful and that He hears our prayers. Trust in His goodness and sovereignty, and may this situation draw you and your dad closer to Him. Do not take this as a sign of condemnation but rather as a wake up call from the God who loves you. This reminder is to be taken as a sign of God's love in the form of a rebuke. Whoever the father loves he chasens and scourges every son who he loves. We know that an unbelieving world does not understand this. Thanks for coming to us.
