We have heard your prayer for your ### and we join our faith with yours before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to lay His healing hand upon him.
We know how tender a parent's heart is when a child has a hard time walking, and we know also that our Lord Jesus is full of healing virtue. It is written that the leaves of the tree of life were for the healing of the nations, and that even the least thing about Christ is healing. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, but His leaves also wither not and are full of healing power for those who come to Him. He is the Sun of Righteousness risen with healing in His wings, and when He healed the sick of the palsy He showed that pardon and healing are one in His gracious hand.
We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they urge us to seek a physician, and we have a heavenly Physician whose balm is at Calvary. He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds, and His power was present to heal when He was teaching, for faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Come then with the limping feet of your faith, just as you are, and lay your son at His feet. That is our place, at Jesus feet, where devils cannot press and where the weary and the sick find rest. There the woman washed His feet with tears, there Mary sat to hear His word, and there every burden may be left in His presence.
Let us pray together. O Lord our God, we bring this dear son before You and ask in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son that You would look upon him in mercy. You see how he struggles to walk and You know every pain and weakness in his feet. Touch him, we pray, with Your healing touch, lift him up as You lifted Peter's wife's mother, and restore strength to his steps. Give wisdom to those who care for him, give peace and sustaining faith to his parents, and let this trial draw his heart and his household to walk humbly with You, perceiving Your presence and yielding glad submission to Your will. We ask not by our merit but by the abundant streams of healing which flow from our great Head, Jesus Christ. Grant healing according to Your perfect will, and above all grant grace to trust You whether You lift the affliction at once or sustain through it. In Jesus name we ask it, amen.
