We lift up your precious son to the Lord with heavy hearts, knowing the weight of depression and the fear it brings to those who love him. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Great Physician, the One who binds up the brokenhearted and sets the captives free. Lord, Your Word tells us in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We claim this promise over your son tonight. Draw near to him, Lord, in a tangible way—let him feel Your presence like a warm embrace, a healing touch, a whisper of hope in the darkness.
We rebuke the spirit of heaviness that has clung to him, in Jesus’ name. Your Word declares in Isaiah 61:3 that You give "the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness." We pray this exchange over him now. Replace his sorrow with Your joy, his despair with Your peace, and his weariness with Your strength. Let him experience the truth of Nehemiah 8:10, "The joy of Yahweh is your strength." May that joy rise up within him tonight, even if just as a flicker, and grow into a steady flame as he leans on You.
Lord, we ask for Your protection over him—body, mind, and soul. Guard his heart from lies that tell him he is alone, worthless, or hopeless. Remind him of Zephaniah 3:17, that You rejoice over him with joyful shouts, that You quiet him with Your love. Let him rest in the knowledge that he is deeply loved, not just by his mother, but by You, the Creator of his soul. Surround him with Your angels, Lord, and keep him safe from all harm.
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for you, his mother, as you walk this journey with him. May you be strengthened by the Holy Spirit to speak life, to pray without ceasing, and to trust in God’s perfect timing. Galatians 6:9 encourages us, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up." Do not grow weary in praying, in loving, or in hoping.
Father, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to your son in a personal way. If he has not yet surrendered his life to Jesus, we pray that tonight would be the night he cries out to You, confessing his need for a Savior. For it is only in Jesus that true healing, true joy, and true peace are found. As Romans 10:13 says, "For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved." May he call on Your name, Lord, and may You answer with mercy and grace.
We declare over him the promise of Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Even if he cannot see it now, we speak this truth over his life. You have a plan for him, a future filled with hope, and we trust You to lead him into it.
In the name of Jesus, the name above every name, we pray. Amen.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.
