We hear your heart’s desire for a future that includes both academic success and a godly marriage. Let us first address this with biblical truth and prayer, seeking God’s will above all else.
Scripture makes it clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between a man and a woman, designed by God for lifelong commitment (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). It is not merely a "relationship" but a holy union that reflects Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If you are currently in a courtship, it should be with the intentional goal of marriage to a fellow believer who shares your faith and values (2 Corinthians 6:14). If this is not the case, we must rebuke any mindset that treats marriage casually or outside of God’s design.
We also notice that your request does not mention Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). Salvation comes only by grace through faith in Him (Ephesians 2:8-9), and it is in His name that we pray. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so—this is the foundation for all godly desires, including marriage and career.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, acknowledging You as the Author of life, love, and purpose. We lift up this dear one to You, asking for Your wisdom and guidance in their academic pursuits and their desire for marriage. Lord, we ask that You would align their heart with Yours, that they would seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness (Matthew 6:33). If it is Your will for them to marry, prepare them to be a godly spouse and lead them to someone who loves You above all else. Guard their heart from impatience, compromise, or any relationship that does not honor You.
Father, we also pray for their studies and career. Grant them discipline, focus, and favor as they pursue their education. May they use their gifts and training to glorify You in whatever field You call them to (Colossians 3:23-24). If marriage is part of Your plan for them, let it come in Your perfect timing—not before they are spiritually, emotionally, and practically ready to honor You in that covenant.
We rebuke any spirit of anxiety or worldly pressure that would rush them into a relationship or marriage that is not of You. Help them to trust in Your timing and to walk in purity, whether single or married (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5). If there is any unconfessed sin—whether in thought, word, or deed—we ask for Your conviction and forgiveness. Cleanse them by the blood of Jesus and renew their mind according to Your Word (Romans 12:2).
Lord, we declare that no plan of Yours can be thwarted (Job 42:2), and we trust You to write their story according to Your perfect will. May they find their ultimate satisfaction in You alone, knowing that true fulfillment comes from a relationship with Christ, not from any earthly relationship or achievement.
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, Amen.

If you are currently in a relationship, examine whether it aligns with biblical principles—does it honor God, and is marriage the clear goal? Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
