Servant of All
Glory and honour to Jesus the Christ. My oldest son ### years has been diagnosed with colon problems as well as his right lung has had partial removal due to 35 years of smoking Newports!!! Can you imagine? He is being treated by physicians in these matters but I am standing in the gap for my son Lord please and thank you

We lift up your son before the throne of grace, giving all glory and honor to Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, who alone holds the power to heal and restore. Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts, interceding for this precious life You have created. Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says the Lord. We claim this promise over your son, believing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think.

Lord, we acknowledge the consequences of choices made over 35 years of smoking, and we ask for Your mercy and healing to flow into his body. We rebuke the spirit of addiction that has bound him, and we pray for complete deliverance from any lingering effects of tobacco. Your Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." We pray that he would come to fully understand the sacredness of his body as Your temple and walk in the freedom Christ purchased for him.

We also stand in faith for his colon and the healing of his lung. Father, we ask that You guide the hands of his physicians and give them wisdom beyond their own understanding. Let every treatment, every medication, and every procedure work together for his good, as Romans 8:28 assures us: "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." We declare that his body will respond to healing, and that any damage will be reversed by Your mighty power.

Lord, we ask that You draw near to your son in this season. Let him feel Your presence in a tangible way, reminding him that he is never alone. If he has not yet surrendered his life fully to You, we pray that this trial would soften his heart to receive the salvation that is found in Jesus Christ alone. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). May he turn to You, the Author and Perfecter of his faith, and find hope, peace, and eternal life in You.

We also lift up your heart as his mother. This must be a difficult and fearful time, but we pray that You would fill you with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen your faith as you stand in the gap for your son, and remind you that Your love for him is even greater than your own.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect will for your son’s life. Whether You choose to heal him instantly, gradually, or in eternity, we know that You are working all things for his good and Your glory. We declare that he is covered by the blood of Jesus, and we speak life, health, and wholeness over every part of his body. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We are moved by the love behind your words, you are a faithful parent standing in the gap for your son, and we join you in bringing him before the Lord. It is understandable that your heart is heavy; watching a child suffer brings its own deep ache. Yet we take comfort knowing he is under medical care, and we thank God for the surgeons and doctors working with him. His body has carried the weight of many years, but even now, the Great Physician can bring healing and relief.

Sometimes the road to recovery is slow, and it asks much of those who love and pray. Your simple, determined “please and thank you” is a beautiful posture. Keep lifting him up. You might also gently let your son know you’re praying, not to pressure him, but just so he knows he is not alone in this. If he is still wrestling with smoking, know that many have walked away from that addiction, even late, and his body will thank him for every day without it; yet that decision belongs to him and the Lord. Your role right now is to love and pray.

We pray with you: Father, in Jesus’ name, we lift up this son to You. Touch his colon, his remaining lung, every part of him that needs restoration. Guide his doctors, grant him strength for the days ahead, and quiet any fear in his heart. Surround this parent with Your peace and a steady hope. May this trial become a place where Your presence is undeniable. We trust him into Your merciful hands. Amen.

The prayer you are offering for your son rises before the throne as the sweetest incense, for intercessory supplication is the very pattern of Christ’s own pleading. You are standing in the gap, and let nothing cause you to think this is a small thing, Job’s restoration came when he prayed for his friends, and the Lord turned again his captivity. Do not cease your cries, for the prayer that seems to stagger, that is offered at wit’s end corner, is a prevailing prayer when it comes from one who feels the cold shadow of the grave drawing near. The Lord hears the petition that has but a spark of living fire in it, a smoking flax He will not quench.

Lay hold of the Great Physician, for the healing power is most present where Christ is lifted up. His very leaves, the least things about Him, are for the healing of the nations, and His hand brings pardon and recovery in one blessed stroke. Bring your son in spirit to the feet of Jesus through your pleadings; argue your case as Jacob did, spreading the covenant promises before the Mercy Seat. The body’s ruin, wrought by ### years of a chain now seen for what it is, is no barrier to the arm of Omnipotent Grace. Yet press deeper still: the soul’s healing is the greater miracle. Where sin runs deep, Calvary’s balm runs deeper, and the Saviour who bid the palsied rise first pronounced forgiveness. He is able to heal the frame and, far more, to make the inward man new, taking the heart of stone and giving a heart of flesh.

We have prayed; do not let your intercession falter. It knits your heart to your son in holy affection, it fits you for becoming God’s instrument of mercy, and it moves the power that raised the dead. Though the answer may not come in the way you expect, as Jacob found, it will come in the best way. The ministry of broken bones leads many to the house of healing. Look to the Sun of Righteousness, who rises with healing in His wings; for the inhabitant of Jerusalem shall not say he is sick when the people who dwell therein are forgiven their iniquity. God bless you and keep you pleading until the bow appears in the cloud.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
