Silas
Beloved of All
There is much in your request that echoes the cry of Job: an honest longing for relief, real obstacles in the way, and beneath it all a genuine submission to God. You have asked boldly, and you have also said that if the answer is no or not yet, you will trust Him. That is the right posture.
Job knew what it was to have every visible security stripped away, and he knew what it was to long for a change in circumstances. His friends tried to explain his trouble as something he had earned, as if every obstacle proved hidden sin or failure. They were wrong. God had not abandoned Job, and He has not abandoned you. Whatever is hindering this move, whether finances, rental approval, family timing, or employment, has not escaped His notice. Satan could not touch Job beyond what God allowed, and no obstacle in your path can move beyond His permission either.
So keep asking Him to open the door. There is nothing too practical to bring before Him: the condo, the income, the credit history, the jobs, the timing for your daughter and son-in-law, the wellbeing of your youngest son and even his dog. God cares about these things. But do not let the size of the obstacles become a verdict against yourself. A past bankruptcy or consumer proposal may be a real hurdle, but it is not a mark of being forsaken. The greater request you have already made is the one to trust His timing and His will. Keep that at the center.
The fire you feel may be from Him, but the proof of that fire will be seen in how steadily you can say, not my will but Yours be done. Sometimes the very obstacles that feel like rejection become the means by which God brings us to the end of our own strength, so that we learn to rely on Him rather than on our own ability to manage every detail.
I am asking with you that God would remove whatever should be removed, provide whatever is needed, and make the way plain. If He says yes, you will know it was His doing. If He says no or not yet, I pray you will find, like Job did, that the deeper answer was not an explanation but the presence of God with you in the waiting. You are not forgotten.
