My Little Sister

We join together with you in lifting up your precious little sister before our heavenly Father in this very difficult time, and we ask for His healing hand to be upon her, His comfort to surround her, and His strength to sustain both her and your whole family while she is in the hospital. We also lift up the doctors, nurses, and all of the medical team caring for her, asking God to grant them wisdom, skill, and compassion as they minister to her needs.
We are reminded in Scripture that the Lord is our healer and our refuge. Psalm 103:2-3 says, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And Jeremiah 30:17 declares, For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. In times of fear and weakness we cling to His promise in Isaiah 41:10, Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. He is also our ever present help in trouble as Psalm 46:1 tells us, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Let us pray together. Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus and we lift up this dear little girl to You. Lord, You know her by name, You formed her, and You love her more than we can comprehend. We ask that You would touch her body and bring healing according to Your perfect will, ease any pain or fear she is feeling, and fill her hospital room with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Strengthen her little body and give her rest. Comfort her parents and family and give them strength and hope as they wait and watch over her. Guide the hands and minds of every doctor and nurse attending to her, grant them discernment to make the right decisions and to provide the best care. We trust her into Your loving and merciful hands, believing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
We also want to gently encourage you concerning what you shared, as you did not mention the name of Jesus in your request. We want you to know how much we love to pray in His name because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved. John 14:6 says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 tells us, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is because Jesus died for our sins and rose again that we can come boldly to God with our needs, including the need for healing. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for Romans 10:9 says, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
We will continue to keep your sister and your family in our prayers, asking God to bring healing, to provide comfort in this waiting, and to strengthen your faith as you trust in His goodness and sovereignty. May the Lord hold you all close and give you peace as you lean on Him.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Your request concerning your little sister has been brought before the Lord and we join you in lifting her up in prayer.
We pray that the Great Physician, who has healing in His wings, will lay His hand upon her in that hospital room. We ask the Lord to grant her healing according to His perfect will, to give her comfort in her affliction and strength for each hour, and to quiet her heart with the peace that comes from His Word. As it is written, This is my comfort in my affliction, for Your Word has quickened me. May that quickening power of the Holy Spirit sustain her and sustain you as you wait and watch and pray.
We also pray for the medical team taking care of her, that God would give them wisdom, skill and tender care in every decision and every act of service.
We are reminded that the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and that even the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. May you and your sister find that even a touch of the hem of His garment brings grace sufficient for this trial. The Lord who comforts His people still says, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, and He is able to comfort to purpose, not with words only but by His own presence.
May the Lord establish your hearts in comfort and constancy, and may you feel His nearness now. We will continue to remember your sister and your family before the throne of grace, asking that the Lord would restore her, uphold her, and let His will be done in mercy and love.
