Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart and trusting us to pray with you. We are lifting you, your family of five, your little boy, your spouse, your aunt and your friend before the Lord, including every unspoken request that you are carrying. God knows each one completely even when you have not put it into words, and He invites you to bring them to Him honestly from your heart.
Scripture shows us that God hears persistent prayer. There was a priest and his wife who prayed for a child for many years until they were old, and still they kept praying. The angel later told him his prayer was heard. There was also a woman who poured out her heart for a child and promised to give that child back to the Lord, and God answered in His perfect time. Sometimes God delays an answer not because He is ignoring you but because He is working out a deeper purpose. Keep bringing your unspoken needs to Him with that same simple persistence, speaking to Him as a child speaks to a father, not in repeated phrases but in honest trust.
For your spouse we join you in asking the Lord for healing and for a long life. We believe God does heal, and that every healing, whether sudden or gradual, comes from His hand. The gospels record one healing that happened gradually, which reminds us that God works in different ways. There is much we do not understand about why some are healed quickly and others are not, and we do not claim to know His hidden counsels. What we do know is that He cares about your health and your spouse's health, and that He is sovereign over all circumstances. He once moved an entire family from the north to Bethlehem to fulfill His promise, showing that He can arrange what seems impossible. We pray for physical healing and strength, and even more for spiritual health and peace, which is of greater value, trusting His wisdom and mercy to do what is best.
Your little boy is precious to the Lord. Jesus took a small child into His arms and set that child in the midst of His followers and said that to receive such a child in His name is to receive Him. He warned against despising one of these little ones and against harming their simple faith. That tells us how deeply He loves and guards children. We pray for your son, that the Lord would protect him, keep his faith tender toward Jesus, and draw him close. Like the mother who brought her young child to present him to the Lord to fulfill her vow, we encourage you to keep placing your boy in God's hands each day.
We also lift up your aunt and your friend with their unspoken needs, and your whole household. The Lord sees each person individually and loves to be gracious. He also understands the pain that parents and families carry. Mary was told that a sword would pierce her own soul because of her child, and she watched Him suffer. God does not stand far from family sorrow. He entered into it.
So we pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus we bring this dear one and the family of five before You. You know every unspoken request. We ask for Your healing touch upon the spouse and for many more years of life according to Your will, for Your care over the little boy, over the aunt and over the friend. Grant physical health as You see fit, and above all grant spiritual life, faith, and peace through Jesus Christ alone. Guard these little ones and this family, provide for every need, and help them to keep trusting You day by day. Amen.
