Prayer for my little son, for his fever to subside

Graelelmir

Disciple of Prayer
Heavens hear us out. My sweet little child whom you have given me, I pray that his fever goes away. Pray that his results are good. We hope for a beautiful day Tomo.
I call upon all angels and saints especially, archangel Michael, St Antony, St Sebastian

Mother Mary hear us out be our strength and refuge during this time

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious little one who is suffering with fever. We understand the deep concern and love a parent has for their child, and we join in prayer, seeking the Lord’s healing touch.

First, we must address the manner in which this prayer was offered. Scripture is clear that there is only one mediator between God and man, the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us in 1 Timothy 2:5, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." We do not pray to angels, saints, or even Mary, for they cannot intercede for us in the way that only Jesus can. He alone is our advocate before the Father, as 1 John 2:1 declares: "My little children, I write these things to you so that you may not sin. If anyone sins, we have a Counselor with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous." To call upon any other name is to bypass the very sacrifice Christ made on the cross, which grants us direct access to the Father.

We also must emphasize that salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Acts 4:12 states, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" If you have not placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and receive the gift of eternal life.

Now, let us pray in the name of Jesus for this dear child:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of concern for this little one who is ill. You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases. We ask, Lord, that You would touch this child and bring down his fever. Restore him to full health, according to Your will. We trust in Your goodness and mercy, knowing that You care deeply for children, as Jesus said in Matthew 19:14, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these."

Father, we also pray for wisdom for the doctors and nurses attending to him. Guide their hands and minds as they seek to provide the best care. May the test results bring clarity and peace, and may this family feel Your presence surrounding them in this difficult time.

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may be trying to take hold of this family. We declare that perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18), and we choose to trust in You. Strengthen their faith, and let them feel Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

To the parents of this child, we encourage you to hold fast to God’s promises. Psalm 103:2-3 reminds us, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." Continue to seek the Lord in prayer, and trust that He hears you. Lean on your church family and fellow believers for support, and do not hesitate to ask for prayer from those around you.

If you have not yet given your life to Christ, we urge you to consider doing so today. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Salvation is a free gift, and it is available to you right now. Would you like to pray with us to receive Jesus as your Savior?

We’re holding you and your little one close in our hearts right now. There is nothing that tugs at us more than a sick child, and we can hear the ache in your words as you watch over him. The waiting for test results can be its own heavy burden, so we simply want to sit with you in that space and remind you that you are not alone.

It’s clear how deeply you love your son, and we picture you keeping watch through the night, hoping for that “beautiful day” tomorrow. That kind of love is a gift, and we believe God sees every tender moment of it. He doesn’t despise a parent’s desperate heart; He hears every whispered plea. While we do not call on angels or departed saints, we come with you right to Jesus, who knows what it is to care for a suffering child. He welcomed little ones, and we trust His compassion for your son now.

As you wait, please do keep in close touch with the doctor, following their guidance, they are a gift of wisdom when fevers rise and results are pending. And as you tend to your boy, take a moment here and there to breathe and let yourself be held up by others who are praying with you.

We pray with you now: Lord Jesus, we lift up this precious child to You. Quiet his little body, break the fever, and bring a restful healing. We ask for good results and a peaceful day tomorrow. Wrap this mother in Your steady comfort; calm every anxious thought and be her strength. We trust Your love for this family, and we place this boy in Your gentle hands. Amen.

The fever of your little one weighs heavily upon your heart, and the cry of a parent for their suffering child is a sound that reaches the very throne of grace. That instinct to plead for mercy, to seek strength and refuge, is not wrong, it is the mark of a soul that knows its need. Yet note that in our hour of anguish, we do not call upon those who themselves once needed mercy, for what can they do? The archangel Michael dared not bring a railing accusation but said, "The Lord rebuke thee." How then shall a saint, who is but a sinner saved by grace, command a fever to flee? They cannot. The refuge of a trembling heart is not found at a saint's shrine, but at the Savior's feet.

It is written, "The inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell in it shall be forgiven their iniquity." Pardon and healing come from the same pierced hand. When we are brought low, when the physician's skill is baffled, and the mother's heart is torn with dread, there is a prayer that has no orderly procession of words, it staggers, it reels, it gasps, "Speak, Lord; for thy servant heareth." This is the cry of the true child. And what says the promise that shall never, no never, be broken? "Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee." You, being evil, would not leave your child to perish. And your Father in heaven, whose name is Love, whose nature is compassion, will He not hear the simplest, most broken sigh of your soul?

Bring the child to Christ. You need no other mediator, for He is the one Mediator between God and men. The very leaves of this Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations, the least touch of His grace can cool the burning brow. Pray not to the creature, but to the Creator. Spread your case before Him, with all the arguments of His own precious promises. The days rolled round are wonderfully different when they are prayed over, when you commit that little sufferer into the hands of Him who took the lambs in His arms. As the soft dews of kindly sleep fall upon those wearied eyelids tonight, may your last thought be how sweet it is to rest that child forever on the Savior's breast.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your little child burns with fever, and your heart burns with fear. This is natural to a mother's love. But remember how the Lord Jesus entered Peter's house and touched his wife's mother. At once the fever left her, and not only did the heat depart, but her strength returned fully in that same hour.

No physician could have done this, for even after a fever breaks, the body lies weak for many days. Yet Christ, by the mere touch of His hand, gave perfect health. Why then do you call upon the heavens, upon Michael, Antony, Sebastian, or the Virgin Mary? Are they the wellspring of life?

Is it not written that there is one Mediator between God and men? These cries to spirits and saints are no better than the charms and amulets women tie around their necks, pretending to be Christian while seeking power in names and words. Such things are idolatry, dressed in pious language. They say, "We call upon God, we do nothing wrong," but the faithful have only one weapon and one remedy: the Cross of Christ.

The mother who refuses every false aid and entrusts her child to God alone, even if the fever does not break as she hopes, is a martyr in her will. She chooses to stand pure before God rather than mingle faith with superstition. Therefore, make the sign of the Cross over your little son, and cry out from your heart, "Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on my child!" He who touched the sick woman and rebuked the fever still lives and hears. Trust Him entirely.

Whether He grants health swiftly or delays, your soul will find peace, for you have placed your hope not in angels or saints, but in the one true Physician.

I am praying now for your little son, asking Jesus to put his hand on him and drive this fever out. I have seen the Lord cool a burning forehead while his people prayed, and I know he is not indifferent to your fear.

But let me gently redirect the cry you have written. We do not call upon angels or departed saints. They are servants of God, not mediators. The Scriptures hold out one mediator between God and us, the man Christ Jesus. Mary herself said, "Do whatever he tells you." She points us to her Son, not to herself. He is the only refuge and strength for this moment.

You do not need to assemble enough names or make yourself worthy before God will hear you. He does not hear because you have been good enough. He hears because he loves you and because Jesus has opened the way. That is grace. Bring your son to the Father just as you are, with all your fear and all your hope.

Ask Jesus to rebuke the fever. Ask him to guide the doctors and bring back good results. Ask the Holy Spirit to watch over your little one through the night and to give you a quiet heart. God knows every process of healing, whether sudden or gradual, and all recovery is from his hand.

Father, in Jesus' name, let this child's fever subside. Let the test results be good. Hold this mother in your peace and let her find her refuge in you alone. Amen.
