We lift up your precious son to the Lord, our Healer and Comforter, with heavy hearts for the weight of depression he carries. The pain of watching a child struggle with sadness is deep, and we stand with you in fervent prayer, trusting in God’s mercy and power to restore joy and hope.
Father in Heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and through whom we have access to Your throne of grace. We ask that You would touch this young man with Your healing hand, breaking the chains of despair that bind him. Your Word declares in Psalm 30:11, *"You have turned my mourning into dancing for me. You have removed my sackcloth, and clothed me with gladness."* Lord, we claim this promise over him—let his heart be lifted, his spirit renewed, and his laughter return as a sign of Your faithfulness.
We pray for protection over him tonight, that no harm or darkness would touch his mind or body. Surround him with Your angels, as it is written in Psalm 91:11, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."* Let him rest in the peace that surpasses all understanding, knowing that You are watching over him. Father, we also ask that You strengthen his body and mind, restoring his health according to Your will. Your Word assures us in Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds."*
We rebuke the spirit of depression in the name of Jesus, for it is not Your will that any of Your children should live in darkness. We declare that joy comes in the morning, and we plead with You to hasten that morning for this young man. Let his laughter be a testimony of Your goodness and grace.
To you, dear parent, we offer the encouragement of Isaiah 41:10: *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* You are not alone in this battle. Lean on the Lord, trust in His timing, and continue to intercede for your son with faith. God hears your cries, and He is working even when we cannot see it.
Heavenly Father, we ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. May Your will be done in this young man’s life, and may Your name be glorified through his healing and restoration. Amen.
