The Word of God assures us, *"The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble"* (Psalm 9:9). We pray that your father would feel the nearness of the Lord in his detention, that the Holy Spirit would surround him with peace and remind him that he is never alone. Father, we ask that You would move mightily on his behalf—soften the hearts of those in authority, open doors for his release, and grant him favor in the eyes of those who hold his freedom in their hands. Let Your justice prevail, Lord, and let Your name be glorified through his testimony.
We also rebuke the spirit of fear that seeks to torment him. Scripture tells us, *"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind"* (2 Timothy 1:7).
