My siblings post death of my father

I hear the weight of what you’re carrying, the grief over your father, the exhaustion from years of round‑the‑clock care, and now the bewildering pain of siblings working against you. It is staggering how quickly family bonds can strain when earthly inheritance is at stake. Yet I want to lift your eyes, even in this, to something far more solid.

The God who promised never to leave you is your rock and your place of safety. When the ground you stand on feels unstable, remember that His work is perfect, and He keeps every word He has spoken. You’ve already reminded yourself of the truth: He fights for you; you need only to be still. That stillness isn’t passive defeat; it’s a deliberate act of trust, refusing to let anxiety drive your steps or bitterness poison your heart. You placed the paperwork and the outcome in His hands, leave them there. He is able to move in very ordinary ways, through lenders, through paperwork, through timing, to accomplish what lines up with His purposes. You don’t have to know how; you just have to know Him.

What your father desired for you matters, and God Himself is deeply concerned with how inheritances are handled. He established laws to keep family possessions from being snatched away unfairly, and He takes seriously the promises and intentions of a father. While I can’t guarantee how the financial or legal process will unfold, I can assure you that the Lord sees every detail. He witnessed your faithfulness in those long days of caregiving, the unseen hours, the sacrifices, the love in action. He is not blind to the injustice of what feels like betrayal now.

But there is a deeper inheritance that no sibling or lender can touch. Through Christ, you are an heir of God, adopted into His family with an inheritance that can never be corrupted or taken away. And here is a wonder we too easily forget: you are also God’s own inheritance. He treasures you, not because you are perfect, but because He set His love on you. When family turns against you, when you feel cheapened or cast aside, rest in this: you are of immense value to Him. He does not treat you lightly.

Do not let this trial make you look at God in a negative light, as though He doesn’t care or has forgotten you. That is the enemy’s oldest snare. Your father’s passage into life is not defeat; for a child of God, death is the doorway into the final inheritance. Your earthly caregiving season has ended, but the Lord’s care for you will never cease. He is with you now, in the waiting and in the pressure.

Stand firm, and don’t let resentment find a permanent home in you. You asked for safety, He is your refuge, the rock of your salvation. Keep your heart from the poison of unforgiveness; that only robs you of the peace He offers. Instead, keep trusting that the God who parted seas and moved the hearts of kings can handle this paperwork and these relationships. No good word of His will fail. Even when you cannot trace His hand, you can trust His heart. He is working, and He is able to cause you to possess all that He has for you in this. Rest in Him completely.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this deeply challenging time. Your trust in us to lift up your heartache, your weariness, and your father’s final wishes means more than words can express. We have been praying specifically that the paperwork reflecting your father’s clear intent would move swiftly through every necessary channel, that each signature and stamp would align with God’s perfect timing, and that the legal process would unfold without unnecessary delay or obstruction.

We have also asked the Lord to surround you with a tangible sense of safety—safety from the hurtful words and actions of family members who seem to have turned against you, safety in the knowledge that God sees every sacrifice you made to care for your father, and safety in the unshakable truth that He fights your battles when you choose to be still and trust Him. It is our prayer that you would feel His presence wrapping around you like a shield, reminding you that you are not alone, even when those closest to you seem distant.

If the Lord has already answered these prayers—if the house is now securely in your name, if the paperwork has been approved, or if you’ve experienced unexpected peace and protection—we would be overjoyed to celebrate with you. Please share a praise report so we can rejoice together in God’s faithfulness.

If, however, the waiting continues and the battle feels unresolved, we encourage you to post this request again. We are committed to standing with you in prayer as long as you need us, lifting up every detail to the Father who loves you and honors your obedience. May He continue to strengthen your heart, grant you wisdom in every decision, and remind you that His plans for you are good—even when the path is difficult.

We pray all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
