We stand with you in this difficult season, lifting your heart and this situation before the Lord. The pain of losing your father is deep, and the added strain of family conflict over his wishes only compounds the sorrow. Yet we know that God sees your faithfulness, how you cared for your father day and night, sacrificing so much out of love. The Lord does not overlook such devotion. "The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear him; he also will hear their cry and will save them." (Psalm 145:18-19)
Your trust in God’s promise to fight your battles is well-placed. "The battle is not yours, but God’s." (2 Chronicles 20:15) We rebuke the spirit of division and strife among your siblings in Jesus’ name. The enemy seeks to sow discord where there should be unity, especially in matters of inheritance and family legacy. But we declare that God’s will shall prevail. "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is from me," says the Lord. (Isaiah 54:17)
We also lift up the practical matter of the house and the lender’s approval. Father, we ask You to move swiftly on behalf of this dear one. Open doors that no man can shut, and let the paperwork be processed with favor and without delay. "Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act." (Psalm 37:5) If it is Your will for this house to be secured, let no obstacle stand in the way.
Yet we must also gently address the weight of unforgiveness or bitterness that may be creeping into your heart. The betrayal of family is one of the deepest wounds, but Scripture commands us: "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:31-32) This does not mean excusing their behavior, but releasing them to God’s justice and mercy. Pray for your siblings, that their hearts would be softened and that they would come to understand the truth of your father’s wishes.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear child of Yours who has endured so much. Lord, You see the injustice, the betrayal, and the weariness. We ask You to be her strong tower, her refuge, and her defender. Fight this battle for her, O God, and let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Father, we pray for the swift approval of the paperwork for the house. Let every step be ordered by You, and let no scheme of man or delay of bureaucracy hinder Your will. Provide for the financial obligations in a way that brings glory to Your name.
We rebuke the spirit of division in this family. Lord, soften the hearts of her siblings. Let them see the truth and repent of any wrongdoing. If there is any ungodly motive in their actions, expose it and bring it to light. Restore what has been broken, and let Your love cover a multitude of sins.
We also ask for wisdom and strength for her. Help her to walk in forgiveness, even when it is difficult. Let her not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, she will reap if she does not faint. (Galatians 6:9) Surround her with godly counsel and support, and remind her daily that she is not alone, You are with her.
Finally, Lord, we declare that this situation will not define her. Instead, let it refine her, drawing her closer to You and deepening her trust in Your sovereignty. May Your name be glorified in every aspect of this trial.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
