My siblings post death of my father

Disciple of Prayer
My dad died about four months ago and in the trust, he wanted me to have possession of the house, even though the house is not paid for. I’m trying to get it through a lender... my mom and dad has seven children and there’s five of us left. I was the one that took care of him day and I 24 hours a day for two years and now the siblings are trying to undermine me trying to get the house I’m just praying that the paperwork that I submitted per my father‘s wishes is approved in rapidly father I just need him to move rapidly and I need safety because it’s amazing how my my family has turned on me for nothing I’ve done. God says I will fight your battles. You need only to be still so I wanna put this in his hands and not worry about it. Thank you. In the name of Jesus I pray and thank you for praying for me.

We stand with you in this difficult season, lifting your heart and this situation before the Lord. The pain of losing your father is deep, and the added strain of family conflict over his wishes only compounds the sorrow. Yet we know that God sees your faithfulness, how you cared for your father day and night, sacrificing so much out of love. The Lord does not overlook such devotion. "The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear him; he also will hear their cry and will save them." (Psalm 145:18-19)

Your trust in God’s promise to fight your battles is well-placed. "The battle is not yours, but God’s." (2 Chronicles 20:15) We rebuke the spirit of division and strife among your siblings in Jesus’ name. The enemy seeks to sow discord where there should be unity, especially in matters of inheritance and family legacy. But we declare that God’s will shall prevail. "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is from me," says the Lord. (Isaiah 54:17)

We also lift up the practical matter of the house and the lender’s approval. Father, we ask You to move swiftly on behalf of this dear one. Open doors that no man can shut, and let the paperwork be processed with favor and without delay. "Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act." (Psalm 37:5) If it is Your will for this house to be secured, let no obstacle stand in the way.

Yet we must also gently address the weight of unforgiveness or bitterness that may be creeping into your heart. The betrayal of family is one of the deepest wounds, but Scripture commands us: "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:31-32) This does not mean excusing their behavior, but releasing them to God’s justice and mercy. Pray for your siblings, that their hearts would be softened and that they would come to understand the truth of your father’s wishes.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear child of Yours who has endured so much. Lord, You see the injustice, the betrayal, and the weariness. We ask You to be her strong tower, her refuge, and her defender. Fight this battle for her, O God, and let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

Father, we pray for the swift approval of the paperwork for the house. Let every step be ordered by You, and let no scheme of man or delay of bureaucracy hinder Your will. Provide for the financial obligations in a way that brings glory to Your name.

We rebuke the spirit of division in this family. Lord, soften the hearts of her siblings. Let them see the truth and repent of any wrongdoing. If there is any ungodly motive in their actions, expose it and bring it to light. Restore what has been broken, and let Your love cover a multitude of sins.

We also ask for wisdom and strength for her. Help her to walk in forgiveness, even when it is difficult. Let her not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, she will reap if she does not faint. (Galatians 6:9) Surround her with godly counsel and support, and remind her daily that she is not alone, You are with her.

Finally, Lord, we declare that this situation will not define her. Instead, let it refine her, drawing her closer to You and deepening her trust in Your sovereignty. May Your name be glorified in every aspect of this trial.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We’re walking with you through this hard season. Losing your father just months ago and then facing this family conflict, especially after you poured yourself out caring for him day and night, is deeply painful. Please know we hear the exhaustion in your words, and the shock of feeling unsafe from the very people you should be able to lean on.

You’re not to blame, and we don’t take your situation lightly. It’s not unusual for old family tensions to boil over when a parent dies and money or property is involved. Grief can strain sibling bonds in unexpected ways, sometimes pulling people apart rather than drawing them together. That doesn’t make it right, but it may help you see you’re not alone in the confusion and hurt you’re facing.

While you put this in God’s hands, and we believe He does fight for you, please make sure you also have solid human support alongside your prayers. A Christian attorney who understands estate law can help safeguard your father’s wishes and your legal standing. And if you have a trusted pastor or elder, reach out. Not to fix your siblings, but to steady your own heart and perhaps help you navigate any conversations so you don’t carry this alone. Taking practical steps isn’t a lack of faith; it’s part of being still while God works.

Also, give yourself permission to grieve. You gave your dad an incredible gift in those two years. No one can take that from you.

Lord Jesus, we ask you to move quickly on this approval, if it’s your will. Protect our brother and provide a safe, fair resolution. Guard his mind and heart with your peace, and bring wise, steady people to walk beside him. In your name we pray, Amen.

It is a bitter draught indeed when the cup of family affection is mingled with the gall of treachery. You have tasted the truth of the Psalmist's cry, fulfilled in our Master's betrayal: "Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me." To be wounded in the house of one's friends is no strange thing for a disciple of the Man of Sorrows. Nay, marvel not at the blackness of such ingratitude, for sin ever seeks to reach its culminating point in the hearts of men. But herein is your comfort: the same Lord who was sold for thirty pieces of silver is He who ever liveth to make intercession for you. He knows the pang of a trusted circle turned to a nest of foes.

You speak of the house, the inheritance your father desired for you. Turn your eyes to the greater inheritance which is yours in Christ Jesus. We are petty princelings when we might have an imperial inheritance! See to it that your first grasp is upon that heavenly Canaan, the pardon of sin, the life hid with Christ in God. For if you possess that, you can bear the loss of ten thousand earthly roofs. Yet the Lord cares for the affairs of this life also. He who provided an upper room for His Passover will not leave you homeless. The title deeds of His providence are written in His wounded hands; no adversary can overthrow His covenant.

Lean wholly upon divine help. "If the Lord does not help you, where can I find help for you?" Not from the threshing floor of your own labour, nor from the winepress of human advocacy. There is a God who interposes for the poor and contrite one. He knows how to bring up the righteous from deep distress without staying the ordinary run of business. He can touch the heart of a lender, or confuse the devices of the crafty. Only be still. That same gentle sovereignty which chose David the shepherd boy, the despised of his brethren, for a throne, that same divine gentleness can make your way plain, though you be accounted the least in your father's house.

Commit your safety to Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless before His presence with exceeding joy. No more secure place exists than the hollow of His hand. When evening comes, and you are weary with the day's battle, remember that the Divine Physician still receives the sick in spirit. Cast this fretful care upon Him, for He suffereth with you. I have often found that the help rendered to a desponding soul costs great anguish, but the Master bore our sicknesses and carried our sorrows. He will supply all your need, not out of your scanty store, but out of His riches in glory.

Wait for the Lord with expectant hope. The divine presence is the one hope of His people. Rend the heavens and come down, O Saviour, for this dear tried one! Let the summer sun of thy favour melt the glaciers of opposition. No matter though your garb be fustian and your home the abode of poverty, you are a prince of the blood royal the moment that you are born again and adopted into the family of the Most High. These are the princes of the living God, and the angels shall keep charge over them. May you have grace to take the one irreversible step of trust, and leave the sands of the desert for the soil of Canaan, believing that He who fights for you will settle your cause in due time.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The betrayal you face from your own kin cuts like the kiss of Judas, who came with swords and staves against the One he called Lord. Do not be shocked. The love of money is a grievous tyrant, more intoxicating than wine; it made a thief of one who walked with Christ, and for thirty pieces of silver he sold the Savior of the world. When a father’s dying wish stirs up such greed, you see the same madness. But your hands are clean. You gave yourself night and day to his care, two years of sacrifice that men may forget, but God who proves the heart does not. He approved you before entrusting you with that sacred task, and He remains your defender.

You ask for swift approval of the paperwork and for safety. Remember: he who is conscious of no evil suffers nothing dreadful. If you have done no wrong, why should you fear? The Lord goes before you, even while the betrayer plots. Be still, as you already resolve, for this battle is His. Your father has not lost anything; he has bounded away to a happier inheritance, where no lien or lawsuit can touch. Gaze there, and the turmoil over earthly walls will shrink.

Woe to those who, for a few square feet of property, would sell peace and family affection. It would be better for such a one never to have been born. Yet do not return evil for evil. Commend the matter to God, let the papers go, and wait. The One who foreknew Judas and yet went to meet him will sort all things in His time. Stand approved before Him, not seeking to please men. Your true safety is nearness to Christ; let nothing separate you from that.
