Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We join you in lifting up your mother before the Lord and thank you for sharing this request with us.
We pray for her healing and comfort. We ask our heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, to touch her body, to ease her cold and chesty cough, to relieve the pain in her arm after her fall, and to restore her strength. He is the true physician who heals both body and soul, and we ask Him to apply His healing hand to her and to grant wisdom to those caring for her.
We also bring before Him your hope that she will be able to attend her granddaughter's prize night at school tomorrow. We ask that if it is His gracious will, He would lift her infirmity enough for her to be there and to share in that joy with her family. Above all we pray that she would know His presence, His peace, and His sustaining grace whether in weakness or in strength, for even our afflictions are permitted by God not for our defeat but for our discipline and good.
May the Lord strengthen your mother and encourage your hearts as you wait on Him. We trust Him to do what is best and to work all things for the good of those who love Him. We will continue to pray for her full recovery and for a joyful evening tomorrow if the Lord allows.
Father, have mercy on her, grant her rest, ease her breathing and her pain, and let her feel Your nearness. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
