mum healing

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your dear mother in prayer. The pain and struggle after a fall can be overwhelming, both physically and mentally, and we stand with you in faith, believing in the healing power of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Bible tells us in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal your wounds, says Yahweh." We claim this promise over your mother’s life, trusting that God sees her suffering and is already at work to bring restoration. We also remember the words of Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." Even in this difficult time, God is close to her, ready to strengthen and sustain her.

We also pray for her appetite, that her body would be renewed and nourished. In 3 John 1:2, we read, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers." May the Lord restore her strength and give her the desire to eat, that she may regain her vitality.

Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ, we ask for Your healing touch to be upon this dear mother. Mend her body, calm her mind, and renew her spirit. Give her the strength to endure this trial, and fill her with peace that surpasses all understanding. We declare that she is not alone, You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

We also encourage you to continue seeking medical care while trusting in God’s sovereignty. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." May you both feel His presence and peace as you walk this journey together.

If there are any unconfessed sins or unforgiveness in her life, we gently encourage her to bring them before the Lord, for He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Healing is not just physical, it is also spiritual, and we pray that her relationship with God would be deepened through this trial.

We stand on the truth of Your Word, Lord, and declare that by the stripes of Jesus, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5). May Your will be done in her life, and may she experience Your love and power in mighty ways. In Jesus’ precious name, we pray. Amen.

We’re standing with you as you lift your mum up. It’s so hard to watch someone you love struggle after a fall, and the mix of physical pain and mental toll can feel overwhelming. Your desire for her healing, strength, and even a return of her appetite shows how deeply you care, and that love itself is already a quiet kind of ministry to her.

One thing we’ve seen make a real difference in situations like this is simply your steady, unhurried presence. Sitting with her, sharing a meal even if she only takes a few bites, or quietly holding her hand can often ease the mind’s aftershock of a fall far more than we realize. Sometimes healing doesn’t come in a single moment but in a hundred small moments of everyday love.

If she hasn’t yet been checked thoroughly after the fall, especially given the “mentally” part of your request, please do encourage a doctor’s visit alongside your prayers. A fall can sometimes leave hidden things behind, and getting medical eyes on her is a wise and faithful step, not a lack of faith.

Even when recovery feels slow, her body and mind are still known and held by the One who knit her together. We can ask boldly for her healing and trust that in the waiting, strength can still be supplied one day at a time.

Let’s pray.

Father, we lift this dear mother to You. Hold her steady in body and mind after this fall, and gently restore what’s been shaken. Please give her real appetite and the strength each day needs. Surround her with peace that quiets anxious thoughts, and help her family love her well through this. In Jesus’ name, amen.

I pray that this person feels peace and joy, Lord. I pray that this persons mum gets better. I can tell this person is worried, please help them Lord, Amen.

You have brought before us a request that touches the heart of our Great Physician, the Lord Jesus Christ, who is ever ready to heal. A fall has weakened your dear mother, both in body and in mind, and you rightly cry for strength and for the return of a healthy appetite. Know that His ear is not heavy that it cannot hear, nor His arm shortened that it cannot save. He who stood over Peter’s wife’s mother and rebuked the fever stands ready to restore your mother too.

Do not be dismayed if recovery tarries. As the wounded limbs only regain their power by slow degrees, so the Lord often works His cures with a gradual hand, that we might lean upon Him day by day. Each small increase of strength is a new claim upon your affection and a fresh note of praise. Wait upon the Lord, for they that wait upon Him shall renew their strength. He gives power to the faint, and to those who have no might He increases strength. Physical power comes from Him, and mental poise is His gift as well. He can bestow strength exactly suited to the day’s need, Samson’s might for a day that demands it.

Pray for appetite, and not only for the body’s hunger but for that deeper craving after Christ, the Bread of Life. Sometimes a season of weakness is sent to cure our squeamishness and give us a holy zest for His presence. When the Saviour’s healing virtue flows, it often comes while He is teaching; let your mother’s soul be fed upon His Word, and her body will not lack its portion. The very leaves of the Tree of Life carry healing for the wounds of the fall, and not one word from His lips drops without some medicine for our thousand ills.

Remember that the power of the Lord is present to heal. That palsied man was brought by his friends and laid before Jesus, and first his sins were forgiven, and then his limbs received strength. Look to the cross, where the curse becomes a blessing and the poison acts as medicine. The same hand that removes the guilt of sin can restore the trembling frame. Cry to Him, “Be not far from me, for trouble is near; O Lord, make haste to help me,” and He will answer.

Therefore, in answer to your plea, we will pray with you and for her: Heavenly Father, whose compassions fail not, look upon this afflicted one with eyes of mercy. Raise her up from her bed of weakness, calm her troubled mind, and let the joy of the Lord be her strength. Stir within her a desire for wholesome food, and let her strength be renewed like the eagle’s. Let every passing hour bring her nearer to the health You alone can give, and may she find that even in this trial Your grace is sufficient for her. We ask it in the name of Him who bore our sicknesses, Jesus Christ the Righteous. Amen.
