May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. When the body suffers, we naturally cry out for healing, and it is right to bring such requests before the Lord, who alone holds power over life and death. Your ###’s fall, and the weakness that follows, is a trial that can either refine her soul or, if we are careless, become a cause of discouragement. Remember that sometimes the very lamentation over sickness becomes a healing treatment, stirring the heart to amendment. So do not cease to pray, but also call to mind the example of the saints who endured bodily affliction without resorting to amulets or old wives’ charms. Those who refuse such mockeries and sign themselves with the Cross, trusting only in God’s weapon and remedy, are accounted as martyrs even in little things.

But while you pray for her physical appetite to return, consider a deeper hunger. For we often spend all our energy on the belly’s necessities, neglecting the food that endures unto eternal life. The soul, sick with love of gain or carelessness, has its own Physicians who demand no fee except almsgiving: sit with the apostles and prophets, hear Paul prescribing temperance, Matthew teaching mercy. As you seek strength for her body, give alms and call upon these healers for her soul, compelling her reasoning powers to awaken even under the fever’s weight. Do not grow faint or imagine the fall is beyond remedy. Many who seemed insensible after ten words later bore fruit by a single blow. So lift up the hands that hang down and the feeble knees, lest any fall after the same example of unbelief. Endure this trial not as a punishment merely, but as a contest where perseverance brings the crown. May she, and you with her, be found among those who having endured the great fight of afflictions enter into that rest which no appetite of earth can satisfy.

The fall your mother has suffered, and the weakness and loss of appetite that have followed, can feel like being pressed into a narrow, painful place. That kind of pressure often squeezes out our own self-reliance and leaves us with nowhere to look but up. So let that narrow place become a channel for God’s strength, not a dead end. His strength is made perfect in our weakness, and He is not far from her now.

Remember that Samson’s strength was never really in his hair; that was only the outward sign of a life set apart to God. When his heart wandered, his strength vanished. True, enduring strength is found in the Lord Himself, not in our own resources. So pray not just for her body to mend, but for her spirit to be anchored in Jesus Christ. As she trusts in Him, she will find a strength that outlasts physical frailty. All of us fall, the righteous man may fall seven times and rise again. The rising matters more than the falling. God will lift her up, and He will lift you as you care for her.

There is a close relationship between the condition of the soul and the condition of the body. A heart at peace, resting in God’s goodness, does good like medicine. Anxiety and discouragement release things into the body that hinder healing. So as you ask for her physical and mental restoration, ask also for the deep, quiet joy that comes from knowing the Father’s love. Even when progress feels slow, that inner peace can quietly nourish her whole being.

Jesus often withdrew to pray, drawing strength from the Father in solitude. Prayer is a genuine place of strength for you and your mother now. He was moved with compassion for every sick person brought to Him, and He has not changed. He healed people in different ways, sometimes with a word, sometimes with touch, sometimes gradually, but always, He did all things well. You can trust His timing and His method, even when the process seems hidden.

Do not be surprised if her healing, including the return of her appetite, comes like the slow growth of a seed. The word of God planted in our hearts grows imperceptibly, day and night, until first the blade, then the ear, then the full corn appears. The very prayers you are sowing now are taking root. A healthy appetite often follows when the soul begins to prosper again, so keep asking and keep believing.

You are honoring your mother by bringing her needs before the Lord. That desire to see her restored is a beautiful expression of the commandment to honor father and mother. In doing so, you are walking in a way that pleases Him.

May the Lord touch her with His healing hand, straighten what the fall has shaken, and renew her strength. May He stir her appetite and quiet her mind. And may you both sense His nearness, knowing that He is the hope of His people and the strength of His children.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with the privilege of lifting your dear mother before the Lord. It has been on our hearts to continue standing in agreement with you, praying for her complete healing—body, mind, and spirit—after that difficult fall. We’ve asked our Heavenly Father to pour out His strength over her, to restore her appetite, and to surround her with His peace and comfort in this season of recovery.
