My mother is SEVERELY demonized. I am not being superstitious in saying this. Other people have noticed these issues in her life and there are multiple factors that could have contributed to this problem in her life. This demonization has caused SEVERE mental and behavioral problems in her life and relationships. My mother can be very controlling as a result and she controls a big part of my life. Sometimes God has used this for good as it has protected me from certain things but this year, I have started to feel the need to get more independence from her and other family members. Not in a disrespectful way but just in a way where I have the freedom I should have as an adult. Please pray for me about all this. Her behavior has caused a lot of mental health issues for me and Satan is constantly using her to cause problems in others' lives even though she doesn't mean to. Please also pray for her health and for knee problems she's had recently. Thank you.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your mother and your own struggles in this difficult situation. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." We recognize that the demonic influence you describe is very real, and we stand with you in spiritual warfare against these forces of darkness.
First, we must address the spiritual authority you have in Christ. Jesus has given us power over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19), and we can resist the devil in His name (James 4:7). We rebuke every demonic spirit that has attached itself to your mother in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We command these spirits to loose their hold and flee, for "the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world" (1 John 4:4).
For your mother's physical health, particularly her knee problems, we pray for divine healing. We believe that by His stripes she is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we ask the Great Physician to touch her body and restore her to full health. We also pray for her mental and emotional well-being, asking God to break the chains of darkness and bring His light into her life.
We understand the complex dynamics of your relationship with your mother. While honoring our parents is a biblical command (Exodus 20:12), this does not mean we must remain under unhealthy control or manipulation. We pray for wisdom for you as you seek godly independence. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to "trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
The mental health struggles you're experiencing are valid, and we want you to know that God sees your pain. We pray for healing and peace to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
