Mother

Dhitlor

Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray that my mother will be safe as she goes on a trip to her brother's funeral this week. She is going on this trip with people who are unsafe and who have often tried to harm me by harming her under the influence of demons. Thank you.

We lift up your mother to the Lord with deep concern for her safety as she travels to her brother’s funeral. Father God, we ask that You surround her with Your heavenly angels, protecting her from all harm and evil influences. The Bible tells us in Psalm 91:11, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways." We declare this promise over her life, that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that she will be shielded from the schemes of the enemy.

We also recognize the spiritual warfare at play here. The influence of demons seeking to harm your family is real, but we stand on the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already overcome the powers of darkness. We rebuke every evil spirit assigned against your mother and command them to flee in the name of Jesus. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." We pray that your mother walks in the full armor of God, standing firm against the enemy’s attacks.

We encourage you to continue praying fervently for her, covering her in prayer daily. If possible, speak with her about the importance of surrounding herself with godly influences and being cautious in her associations. Proverbs 13:20 says, "Walk with wise men, and you will become wise; but the companion of fools will suffer harm." While we understand this is a difficult family situation, we pray for wisdom and discernment for both of you.

Father, we also ask that You comfort your mother in her grief. Losing a brother is painful, and we pray that she feels Your presence and peace during this time. May she lean on You, the God of all comfort, who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3).

Lord, we thank You for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to protect and guide. We trust in Your sovereignty and ask that You work all things together for good for this family (Romans 8:28). In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We are carrying this with you. Grieving a brother while worrying about your mother’s safety is a heavy weight, and it makes sense that your heart is unsettled. We are glad you reached out.

If she is willing, a simple practical step may help both of you: ask her to check in with you at set times, keep her phone charged, and share her lodging details with someone you both trust. Even a brief text when she arrives and before bed can ease some of the dread as the trip unfolds.

Lord Jesus, we bring this mother to you. You see the road she will travel, the rooms she will be in, and the people around her. We ask you to surround her with your protection, to give her clear judgment and the wisdom to step away from anything unsafe. Frustrate any plan to harm her, and keep her secure from every evil intent. Comfort her as she mourns the loss of her brother, and give this family your peace. Bring her home safely, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

This request shall be brought before the throne of grace, for the Lord is a shield to those who trust in Him. The wicked may plot, and demons may rage, but the Lord who sits in the heavens shall laugh at them; He has His own in His keeping, and not a hair of their head shall fall without His decree.

We will pray that the Lord will send His angel to keep your mother in all her ways, for He has charged His angels concerning those who dwell in the secret place of the Most High. She who travels on the King's Highway is under the King's protection, and no evil shall befall her, nor any plague come nigh her dwelling, if her heart is fixed upon the Lord. Let her not go in the way of error, for then she would be outside the promise; but let her abide in the way of faith, and God's angels will keep her.

You speak of those who have sought to harm her under the influence of demons. Such malice is real, and the enemy uses men as his instruments; but he is a bound enemy, and he cannot go an inch beyond the chain that God's sovereignty has fastened upon him. We will pray that the Lord will confound their devices, that He will make their poison to be as water, and that He will turn their intended evil into good. He who kept Daniel in the lions' den can keep your mother in the very presence of her foes.

A funeral is a solemn hour, when the Holy Spirit often speaks with a voice that pierces the ear of the soul. Your mother goes to bury her brother; let her remember that she, too, must die, and let her not delay to seek a Savior. The blood of Christ is a full atonement for sin; there is no need for anything more. The Spirit of God is ready now. If this journey should be the means, in the hand of God, not only of bringing her safely through danger but of bringing her soul to the feet of Jesus, it will be a journey to be praised throughout eternity. We read of those who owe their salvation to a mother's prayers, to a father's instruction, to a Sabbath school teacher's influence. Who can tell but that this journey to a grave shall be the hour of her spiritual resurrection?

We will pray that God, who is able to keep you from falling, will keep her also. Our safety lies in our Savior, God our Savior; His throne might sooner fail than a saint should perish. The Lord will be her keeper, the shade upon her right hand. The sun shall not smite her by day, nor the moon by night. If the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.

Therefore, let not your heart be troubled. Bring this matter before the Lord with strong crying and tears, and then leave it with Him who feeds the ravens and clothes the lilies. He who has given you a mother gave His own Son for her; will He not also with Him freely give her all things? We will join our prayers with yours, that He will send His angel before her face, that He will make her path straight, and that He will bring her home again in peace, and, which is better still, bring her home at last to the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God, where there shall be no more funerals, for death shall be swallowed up in victory. Until that day, let us watch and pray, for our adversary the devil walketh about as a roaring lion, but greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

I will pray for your mother with a watchful heart. The commandment to honor a mother does not require us to pretend her companions are safe, nor will I ask God to bless the company of those who have done harm and acted under demonic influence. I will ask the Lord Jesus Christ, who has authority over every unclean spirit, to protect her body and soul, to frustrate every evil plan made against her, and to bring her home in peace. I will also pray that her eyes are opened to the danger and that she chooses a safer way if one can be found.

You must do more than worry. With all gentleness and honor, urge her not to entrust herself to people who have already behaved like enemies. There is no piety in needlessly placing ourselves under the power of the unscrupulous. If she will not be persuaded, do not be bitter toward her. Honor her still, but continue in prayer with one accord, as the apostles did in the upper room, asking God to guard her when human help fails.

Use every lawful means to protect her. Pray also for those who plot harm, that they would repent and be delivered from the evil one, but do not call their influence good or safe. The Lord is near to your fear. He is able to keep her in the midst of malice, and he may use these prayers to separate her from those who would destroy her. Trust him, but act with prudence. In Christ alone is our true safety.

Thank you for sharing this burden about your mother. I am praying for her as she travels to her brother's funeral, carrying both grief and the stress of the journey. It is right to bring her safety before the Lord and to ask for His mercy and comfort in this sorrow.

I hear your concern about the people she is traveling with and your sense that they have tried to harm you by harming her under demonic influence. Scripture is clear that evil spirits are real, they are intelligent beings, and they can influence people to do cruel and inhumane things that cannot be explained in any other way. They speak and act through people and they seek to hurt and torment. At the same time Scripture shows they are limited. They are not all powerful and they are under God's authority. There is a place prepared for their confinement and they are not free to do whatever they want. In the vision given to John, those demonic tormentors were commanded not to harm certain things and were only allowed to harm those who did not have the seal of God. That shows God draws a line of separation and protection around His own. No wall or locked room can keep a spirit being out, but the Lord can.

Because of that, the place to turn is directly to Jesus. When His mother and brothers stood outside wanting to speak with Him, He asked, who is my mother and who are my brothers, and He pointed to His disciples and said those who do the will of my Father are my mother and brother and sister. He did not teach us to go through His mother to reach Him. There is one God and one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus, and through Him we have direct access to the Father. You do not need to go through anyone else to be heard. You can come boldly to Jesus Himself for your mother.

Scripture also exhorts us to keep ourselves in the love of God. We cannot walk away from God and from the things of God and expect to remain under His divine protection in the same way. To keep ourselves in His love means to abide in Him, to walk in obedience and fellowship with Him, to stay under the shelter He provides. A godly mother can be one of the most powerful influences for good in a family, and an ungodly influence can lead toward great harm, so your prayers for your mother to stay close to the Lord are deeply important.

I am praying that the Lord will place His hand upon your mother on this trip, that He will restrain any evil intent from those around her, that He will guard her physically and spiritually, and that He will give her comfort as she mourns her brother. I am asking that He will surround her with His presence, give her wisdom and discernment, provide safe travel there and back, and bring peace to your heart as you entrust her to Him.

Father in the name of Jesus we lift this mother to You in her grief and in her travels. You see the road before her and those who are with her. We ask that You set a boundary around her that no evil can cross, that You limit any demonic influence and forbid any harm against her. Seal her as Your own and keep her in Your love. Comfort her in the loss of her brother, uphold her with Your strength, and bring her safely through this journey. Give her child peace as she waits, and help both to look directly to Jesus and to rest in His care. Amen.
