more quality time with Jesus Christ

We rejoice with you in this beautiful desire to spend more and more quality time with our Lord Jesus Christ, for this is the very heart of what God wants for us. Your longing to draw closer to Him is itself evidence of His Spirit working in you, calling you into deeper fellowship.
We are reminded of the promise in James 4:8, Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. And in Psalm 27:4, One thing I have asked of Yahweh, that I will seek after: that I may dwell in Yahweh's house all the days of my life, to see Yahweh's beauty, and to inquire in his temple. The Father delights when His children seek Him first above all else. As Jesus taught us in Matthew 6:33, But seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. When we prioritize Him, He honors that time and multiplies its fruit in our lives.
We encourage you to be intentional about guarding that time with Him. In a busy world, quality time with Jesus does not happen by accident. We find it helpful to set apart a consistent time and a quiet place each day, free from distraction, where we can be still before Him as Psalm 46:10 says, Be still, and know that I am God. In that stillness, open His Word with prayer, speak to Him honestly from your heart, listen for His voice, and remain in Him. As Jesus said in John 15:4, Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can't bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me. It is in that abiding that we are transformed and strengthened.
We join our faith with yours now and pray together.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the hunger You have placed in our dear sibling's heart to know You more. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ that You will help us all to spend more and more quality time with You. Draw us closer, Lord, and teach us to love Your presence. Help us to redeem the time, to turn away from distractions, and to seek Your face with our whole hearts. Open Your Word to us, speak to us, and let us hear Your voice. Fill our time with You with peace, joy, and deeper understanding of Your love through Jesus Christ. Help us to abide in Christ daily and to bear much fruit for Your glory. We ask this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Your longing to spend more and more quality time with the Lord Jesus Christ is itself one of His benefits, for surely it was God the Holy Spirit going forth in the name of Jesus Christ and dealing with you in mercy to give you this sense of need. It is a blessed desire and we join our prayers to yours that the Heavenly Father will increase it and satisfy it in the name of Jesus Christ.
The Lord Jesus is thoughtful of your wants and He says to you, Come and break your fast. See the importance of a feast with Jesus. He spreads the old food with which He always fed His people, bread with a relish of fish, food pleasant and easy to digest, and He does not like to see His servants hungry and weary. Many a battle has been lost because the soldiers were not in good condition for the fight. You need stamina if you are to do hard and long work for Jesus and His truth, and that stamina comes from sitting at His table. As it was written, they came and saw where He dwelt and abode with Him that day, and the best part of that day was the portion which they spent with Jesus. Having once lived with Him, they learned never to live without Him.
Do not be content with what is only mechanical religion, an outward and external hearing without inward touching of the blessed Person of Christ. There is a real contact with Jesus where a stream of life and love flows from Him to the soul. If you cannot even dream of a good thing in yourselves, come to Jesus Christ as you did the first time, come to Him as a sinner, and your doubts shall flee away. Come to Him with your everyday burdens and also with your hard questions, the harder the better. Prove Him with hard doubts and hard burdens, for He invites you to consult with Him.
He daily loadeth us with benefits. Not once a week or now and then, but every day He loads you, on bright days and on dark days, and it has been your lot to sit daily at the King's table. Let your response be that of the Psalmist, Every day will I bless Thee. Let the sweet frankincense of praise be mingled with your daily oblation of devotion. To live this daily fellowship, hold this world with a very loose hand and look upon earthly possessions as fickle joys, that you may die daily to self and live with Jesus.
We pray that the Father will help you to redeem time from business and amusement and all that would keep you from Him, and that He will draw you into still and deep communion where you truly touch Christ and are touched by Him. May He teach you to study His Holy Book, to acquaint yourself with God through Jesus Christ, and to find that the waves of love as well as of time wash you each morning upon the shore of a new day strewn with love.
