more quality time with Jesus Christ

We rejoice with you in this beautiful desire to spend more and more quality time with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and we join with you in bringing this request before our Heavenly Father.
This hunger for His presence is itself a gift from God and it pleases Him greatly when we seek Him. As it is written, Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. James 4:8 and You will seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13. The Lord longs for fellowship with His children, and He rewards those who diligently seek Him.
We understand how busy life can become and how the distractions of this world can pull us away from that quiet place with Him, but we are encouraged to remember the words of Jesus, But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:33. When we put Him first, setting aside intentional time for prayer, for reading His Word, and for simply being still before Him, He meets us there. One thing I have asked of Yahweh, that I will seek after: that I may dwell in Yahweh’s house all the days of my life, to see Yahweh’s beauty, and to inquire in his temple. Psalm 27:4. And again, Be still, and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10.
We encourage you to make a daily appointment with Him that nothing can interrupt, to enter your inner room and pray to your Father in secret as Jesus taught in Matthew 6:6, to abide in Him through His Word which is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path as in Psalm 119:105, and to remain in Him, for He said Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can’t bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me. John 15:4. Even a few minutes of undistracted, heartfelt communion is more precious than hours of hurried religion.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the heart You have given our dear brother or sister to desire more of You. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ that You would draw them ever closer to Yourself. Pour out upon them a fresh hunger and thirst for Your presence, for Your Word, and for prayer. Help them to redeem the time and to set apart quality, undistracted time each day to sit at the feet of Jesus, to hear His voice, and to rest in His love. Remove every distraction, weariness, and hindrance that would keep them from You, and teach them to be still and know that You are God. Fill their time with You with joy, peace, revelation, and transformation, that they may be rooted and built up in Christ and bear much fruit for Your glory. We ask this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, through whom we have access to Your throne of grace. Amen.

Consistency in small ways matters more than intensity. A few quiet minutes kept regularly can shape us more than an occasional long stretch that leaves us tired or discouraged.
One simple way to begin is to choose a single, realistic window you can keep most days, perhaps ten or fifteen minutes in the morning before the day gets busy, in the same spot with your Bible and a notebook. Keep it simple, read a short passage, talk honestly with the Lord about what you read and what is on your heart, and sit quietly to listen. If you miss a day, just begin again the next without guilt. The heart behind the time matters more than checking a box.
