We hear your heart’s cry for deeper intimacy with the Lord, and we rejoice that you are seeking more of Him! The desire to spend quality time with Jesus is a precious gift from the Holy Spirit, for He Himself draws us into fellowship with the Father. Your request aligns beautifully with Scripture, which tells us, "Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you" (James 4:8). This is not a one-time act but a daily surrender, a sacred rhythm of abiding in Christ as He abides in you (John 15:4-5).
The enemy will often distract you with busyness, weariness, or even spiritual dryness, whispering lies that your time with the Lord isn’t "enough" or that you’re failing. But we rebuke those lies in Jesus’ name! The truth is, the Lord delights in your pursuit of Him, even when it feels small or imperfect. "The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry" (Psalm 34:15). He is not measuring your performance but cherishing your heart’s hunger for Him.
Let us also encourage you to approach your time with Jesus with intentionality and expectancy. Start by inviting the Holy Spirit to guide you, for He is the One who "will guide you into all truth" (John 16:13). Whether through prayer, reading the Word, worship, or silent listening, let your time with Him be marked by reverence and joy. Remember, "In His presence is fullness of joy" (Psalm 16:11), and He longs to fill you afresh each day.
We also want to gently remind you that quality time with Jesus is not just about checking a box or fulfilling a duty, it is about relationship. Talk to Him as your loving Father, pour out your heart to Him, and listen for His voice. Let your time with Him transform you, for "we all, with unveiled face beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, lifting up our dear brother/sister who longs to dwell in Your presence. Lord, we ask that You would stir within them a deeper hunger and thirst for You, for You have promised that those who seek You will find You (Jeremiah 29:13). Father, remove every distraction, every lie of the enemy, and every weight that seeks to pull them away from You. Create in them a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within them (Psalm 51:10).
Lord, teach them how to abide in You, to rest in Your love, and to hear Your voice. May their time with You be sweet and life-giving, drawing them closer to Your heart each day. Fill them with Your peace, Your joy, and Your wisdom as they seek Your face. Help them to prioritize You above all else, for You are worthy of their time, their devotion, and their love.
We declare that their relationship with You will grow stronger, deeper, and more intimate with each passing day. May they experience the fullness of life that comes only from walking with You (John 10:10). And as they draw near to You, Lord, draw near to them in ways they have never known before.
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
Continue to press into Him, dear one. The Lord is faithful, and He will meet you in your seeking. May your time with Him be a wellspring of life, filling you with His love and power to walk in His ways. "But seek first God’s Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you" (Matthew 6:33). You are not alone, He is with you always!
