Let us pray that Heavenly Father will help me spend more and more quality time with HIM, in the Name of Jesus Christ!

We rejoice in your desire to draw nearer to the Lord Jesus Christ, for He alone is the source of life, wisdom, and true fulfillment. Your heart’s cry to spend more quality time with Him is precious in His sight, and we stand with you in this pursuit, knowing that intimacy with God is the foundation of a victorious Christian walk.

The Word of God makes it clear that seeking the Lord with all our heart brings blessing and transformation. As it is written in James 4:8, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you." This is a promise we can claim with confidence. The psalmist also declares in Psalm 63:1, "God, you are my God. I will earnestly seek you. My soul thirsts for you. My flesh longs for you, in a dry and weary land, where there is no water." Your longing reflects a heart after God’s own heart, and He delights in meeting you in those moments of devotion.

We must also acknowledge that the enemy of our souls seeks to distract and discourage us from spending time in God’s presence. The cares of this world, busyness, and even weariness can pull us away from what is most important. But we rebuke every lie that suggests you do not have time for the Lord or that your efforts are in vain. The truth is, as Jesus Himself said in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." When we prioritize God, He orders our steps and multiplies our time.

Let us also address the importance of not just quantity of time, but quality of time with the Lord. This means coming before Him with a humble and teachable spirit, ready to listen, obey, and worship. It means setting aside distractions, whether they be technology, entertainment, or even good but lesser pursuits, to focus fully on Him. As the Lord spoke through the prophet Jeremiah in Jeremiah 29:13, "You shall seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart."

We encourage you to establish a consistent habit of prayer, Bible reading, and meditation on Scripture. Start with small, manageable steps if needed, but do not despise the day of small beginnings. The Holy Spirit will help you grow in this discipline as you yield to Him. Remember, too, that worship is not confined to a quiet time, it can be a lifestyle of surrender, gratitude, and obedience throughout your day.

Now, let us come before the throne of grace together in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the precious blood of Your Son, Jesus Christ, which has given us bold access to Your presence. We lift up our dear brother/sister before You, asking that You would ignite a fresh hunger and thirst for You in their heart. Lord, help them to carve out time each day to seek You, to hear Your voice, and to be transformed by Your Word. We rebuke every distraction, every lie of the enemy, and every spirit of procrastination that would keep them from drawing near to You. Strengthen them by Your Spirit to prioritize You above all else.

Father, we ask that You would meet them in their quiet moments, filling them with Your peace, joy, and wisdom. Teach them to pray without ceasing, to meditate on Your Word day and night, and to walk in constant communion with You. May their time with You bear fruit in every area of their life, spiritually, emotionally, and relationally. Let them experience the fullness of Your presence, knowing that in You, they lack no good thing.

We pray that as they seek You first, You would add all other things unto them according to Your perfect will. May their life be a testimony of Your faithfulness, and may others be drawn to You through their devotion. We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Continue to press into the Lord, dear one, for He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you. As you seek Him, you will find Him, and your life will be a reflection of His glory. May the Lord bless you abundantly as you walk with Him each day.

We are encouraged that you are asking for this, because the longing itself is already the Lord stirring your heart toward himself. Wanting more of Jesus is never a small thing. Do not be discouraged if it takes a while to settle, growth with him is usually slow and quiet, more like training than a single great effort.

Quality time with him often grows through small, repeated moments rather than occasional big blocks that are hard to maintain. A practical next step is to pick a modest, regular slot in your day, maybe ten minutes before the rest of the house wakes or the first few minutes of lunch. Treat it as simply sitting with Jesus. Read a short passage, speak honestly about your day, and then be still. Think of it like training rather than a test, you are building a rhythm, not trying to summon a feeling. Some days will feel rich, some ordinary, and both are still time spent with him.

Lord Jesus, thank you for the hunger for more of you. We ask you to help this one find a simple, sustainable rhythm that fits the life you have given. Remove the pressure to perform, and teach them to rest in your presence even in quiet, unremarkable minutes. Grow their desire, and let time with you become the steady anchor of each day. The desire for more quality time with Jesus Christ is itself a proof of the Spirit’s work in you, for the natural man does not crave the presence of God. What you seek is not a Christless stillness but the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. There is no other way to the Father, for the only begotten Son has declared Him, and in Christ God draws near to us in blessed communication. It is good, therefore, that you ask the Heavenly Father for this in the name of Jesus Christ.

Let this be your rule: do not count only the minutes, but seek real contact with Him. In secret prayer never be satisfied with having prayed until you have touched Christ in prayer, or at least sigh and cry until you do. He who is much in prayer will hold very much fellowship with Jesus Christ, and the new life within you grows as you get near to God. Bring thanksgiving with every request, for prayer perfumed with praise wins with God, and the peace of God which passeth all understanding shall keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus.

I join you in asking our Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, to draw you by the Holy Spirit into daily, living communion with the Son. May His Word become sweeter to your taste, may your prayers be no empty form but true speech with God, and may the Father grant you such nearness that you can say from the heart, “My Lord and my God.” He who has begun this hunger in you will satisfy it with Himself, for Jesus Christ is the true God and eternal life.

The desire itself is already a gift of grace, for no one seeks more time with Christ unless Christ has first drawn the heart. Do not let that longing cool. Guard it as a spark. The world will crowd it out with noise, small cares, and even lawful business made excessive. Set a fixed time daily for prayer and the reading of Scripture, and let nothing steal it except extreme necessity or mercy to another. Begin with a short prayer before opening the Gospel: Lord, speak to me, for your servant is listening. Read slowly, stop where the word strikes you, and answer God with praise, confession, or intercession. That is quality time.

Do not imagine that time with Christ is only in the quiet room. It continues when you carry His word into the street, into your work, into forgiving an offense, into feeding the poor, into refusing sin. Christ is with you in the commandment kept and the neighbor loved. If you want to remain in His presence, be as careful of what you let into your eyes and ears as you would be of a guest in your home. Fasting and almsgiving guard the time of prayer from becoming barren. Do not seek relaxation in this life as if the contest were over. Our whole life is in combats, and by tribulation we are made perfect. Expect that the flesh and the devil will fight against this holy resolve. When you fail, do not stay away in shame. Rise at once and return to Him, for His mercy is greater than your weakness.

Let us ask the Lord together. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, draw this soul into deep and faithful communion with Him. Do not permit distractions, sloth, false guilt, or the love of passing things to steal what belongs to You. Kindle such a hunger that the hour of prayer becomes a joy and a necessity. Give the grace of perseverance, that every day may have its sacred time, and every time be filled with Christ, through the same Jesus Christ our Lord, with whom to You and the Holy Spirit be glory, power, and honor, now and ever and world without end. Amen.
