more quality time with Jesus Christ

We hear your heart’s cry for deeper intimacy with Jesus Christ, and we join you in this sacred pursuit. The desire to draw nearer to Him is a gift from the Holy Spirit, for it is written, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you" (James 4:8). This longing is evidence of His work in your life, and we rejoice with you in this holy ambition.
Yet we must also examine the posture of our hearts as we seek Him. Quality time with Christ is not merely about the quantity of minutes spent in prayer or Scripture but the surrender of our wills to His. Jesus Himself said, "God is Spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth" (John 4:24). This means our time with Him must be marked by honesty, repentance, and a hunger for His righteousness, not just emotional comfort or personal gain.
Let us also rebuke any distractions or idols that may be stealing your devotion. The world clamors for our attention, social media, entertainment, even good things like work or ministry can become rivals to our time with the Lord. Jesus warned, "No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will hold to one and despise the other" (Matthew 6:24). We must ruthlessly guard our hearts and schedules, for where our treasure is, there our hearts will be also (Matthew 6:21).
Now, let us pray together in the authority of Jesus’ name:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and contrite hearts, acknowledging that apart from Christ, we can do nothing (John 15:5). We lift up our brother/sister to You, asking that You would ignite in them an unquenchable fire for Your presence. Lord, teach them to number their days, that they may gain a heart of wisdom (Psalm 90:12). Help them to rise early, to seek You first, and to delight in Your Word as the psalmist did: "O how I love your law! It is my meditation all day" (Psalm 119:97).
Father, expose any sin or lukewarmness that hinders their fellowship with You. Cleanse them by the blood of Jesus and renew a right spirit within them (Psalm 51:10). Break every chain of distraction, every lie that says they are too busy, and every fear that says You are not enough. Remind them that You are a rewarder of those who diligently seek You (Hebrews 11:6).
We declare over them the promise of Jeremiah 29:13, "You shall seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart." May they experience the joy of Your presence, the peace that surpasses understanding, and the power of Your Spirit to transform them into the likeness of Christ. May their time with You bear fruit in every area of their life, wisdom for decisions, strength for trials, and love for others. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. Amen.

As you abide in Him, you will bear much fruit (John 15:5), and your life will become a living testimony of His grace.

Your heart’s longing for more of Christ is itself a token of His work within you, for by nature we would never hunger after Him. Now, take this desire and shape it into definite, pleading prayer. Do not rest with a general sigh; go to the Mercy Seat and make this very thing known with thanksgiving. Tell Him, “Lord, I would break my fast with Thee; spread a table in my wilderness and grant me such communion as leaves no room for doubt that I have touched Thee.” A sitting silently at His feet is of more worth than all the clatter of Martha’s dishes, and a single touch of His garment by faith will do more for your soul than ten thousand resolutions made in your own strength.
Yet remember, the prayer that presses this suit must be perfumed with praise. If the petition agitates you and you come away more anxious than before, you have forgotten to mix thanksgiving with it. You already have Christ Jesus, He that spared not His own Son will deny you nothing. That is solid ground for gratitude before you ever ask for more. So begin there, and then plead the promises. Has He not said, “He giveth more grace”? Then take Him at His word. Come to Him with your weariness, your fruitless nights, your deep sense of unworthiness, the poorer the wretch, the more welcome here. Prove Him. Test Him. Let not one day close without some direct transaction with your Lord, some moment when faith actually contacts His power. And when that comes, even in a glimpse, be thankful. A touch healed the woman; so a single hour of real fellowship can make you forget the long night’s toil.
Make this your settled resolution: “I will yet praise thee more and more.” If the life of communion has been sweet, return to it with zest. Throw yourself into it heartily, for in this way you shall find the happy life expanding, and the quality time you seek will multiply beyond your asking. The promise stands sure: “Abide in me, and I in you.” Faith takes hold of it now, believe, and rise from your knees to walk with Him all the day long.
